I honestly after all these years don't mind I'd like Lizzington or the Father/Daughter storyline. Either way I know I will be gasping and on the edge of my seat. But people believe that Our Red is an imposter and the real Raymond Reddington is Lizzie's Father (Some also think Red killed Lizzie's Real Father--The real RED). Because his blood for the test was from 30-year-old evidence.

I've seen every episode. Even every episode of The Blacklist: Redemption. If you are referring to the Season 5 finale, that is just a cliffhanger to get people to come back next season.
He's not her father just because this show is smart, made by smart people, written by very smart and talented writers, and may be understood only by smart fans. Not saying that DG are not smart, but...bashing the others, like kids in a schoolyard, being rude and cheeky is definitely not the smartest way to be heard. Anyway, this video is well made. Bravo and thanks to Hellen Weis.
I know in the past I've been just as guilty as anyone else about getting caught up in arguments over my favorites shows and I don't have a problem with fun lighthearted debate. However I do feel the need to point out that the people on these shows are FICTIONAL characters. If your getting offended or being insulting towards others because of their opinion on these fictional characters then it might be best take a step back and readjust your priorities. If pretend people are so valuable that your willing to lash out at real people then these fictional characters are more important to you then actual human beings. Everyone should have a problem with that.
Have you heard Red say to Liz, "I am your father"? Nope. Not one time. Think back to season two. Red tells Liz the truth about why he hired Tom Keen to be in her life. Liz asked, "Is that all of it?" Red responds, "Most of it." Liz then says, "Why couldn't you just say yes? It wouldn't kill you to lie just once to make someone feel good." Now skip to the finale scene of season 2. Liz recalls killing her father. Red confirms this question by not confirming it and allowing Liz to "feel good" for the moment. Same thing in season 5...Liz has been very happy now that she thinks Red is her father. But he is not.
I don't believe that, remember alexander he told red that "the is nothing you can stop me not to kill you raymond" so i think liz's mother is alive, red told him where she is so that alexander can spear his life.
"Lizzington"? Are you people out of your damn minds? Even if Red wasn't her father (he is), he's in his mid 60s and she's supposed to be in her 20s. And given the relationship they've had up to this point, it would practically be incestuous anyway even if he wasn't her father (he is.)
LOL, the actor is only 58, not in his mid-60's (and the actress is 35.) And the uncomfortable incestuous vibe has always been there. From the very beginning we are left with the uncomfortable question of "Wait ... could he be her father?" while Ressler, Navabi, and an endless list of Blacklisters refer to Liz as Red's girlfriend. The writers even spell it out for us in an episode, when one of the characters says, "What is the deal with you two? Everyone wants to know. Some say it's a father-daughter thing, others swear it's May-December. I think it's both." And, of course, it is uncomfortable. Red was her guardian her entire life, so he must have, for most of her life, cared for her as he would have for a type of daughter. That said, he had no direct contact with her whatsoever. He watched her closely, and if he did develop other feelings for this girl, it must have been strange for him too. This uncomfortable incestuous tension in their relationship was always central to this story, and the complex love between them is sort of the whole point. I think we'll find out who the bones belong to next week, and it's most probably going to be Liz's real father's bones (the real Reddington who died in that fire.)
😁 But to be fair, a lot of people guessed it. There are many, many clues from the pilot episode on that hint that 1. Reddington is not the real Reddington, and 2. that Reddington and Liz have a thing that's not a father-daughter thing. The hilarious thing is that even in Season 5, when he was "confirmed' as her father, the show's tagline was "Who's your Daddy?" which I think is much more of a sexual expression in pop culture and no longer actually means "Who is your father?" So even when I saw the poster ads come out for S5 with that tagline, I was like "Oh! 😏 I see what the writers did there." I think a lot of people did.
@infernovoid The expression doesn't insinuate homosexuality specifically, but just sexuality (of all types.) If you look up the expression, it has a sexual power dynamic undertone (and is not specific to anything else.) My point was that the expression is overtly sexual in modern pop culture, so most people will connect it to sex than anything else.
I'm so happy that #daddygate is dead...reading this comments...its hilarious, its fantastic :D :D :D Bokenkamp said that everybody knew what they were doing.. Our Red being an imposter was their plan from the very beginning :D Megan said that blacklist was a love story, so you, #lizzington haters, DEAL WITH THAT ♡♡
Yay, go for a love story where she doubts from the moment she MET HIM that he COULD be her father... and then she confirms he is her father for whole season... and omg yes, not least he saved her at 4 years old, stalked her since then to PROTECT HER (as he would his lost child, same age) and then LET HER BELIEVE HE IS HER DAD.... to jumpt to bed together? Can they make out already? wouldnt you have sex or fall in love with someone that you believed your father? LMAO. - Ive seen crazy, but that would be the creepy love story ever!
OMG, you're such on denial ! Go ahead already : HE IS ! 1) Dembe is asking why he didn't deny because he already did it by the past, multiples times and it is obvious that he never consider himself as the father (not because he's not but because Red think he don't deserve that ''title") 2) It would be the stupidiest twist ever to come back (AGAIN !!) on the dad plot cause people 1)have the anwser they wanted to hear since the beginning and because 2) are seriously tired of that plot : they want to look forward ! there still a lot to uncover about the blacklist other than "Who is her dad" 3) It will most likely drown the show! 3) A lot are saying that he was cruel to let her believe she killed her father whereas he is alive and in front of her (and i am completely agree with it! But i think there is some kind of metaphhorical explanation to it) but it is as much as cruel(if it is not more) to let her believe she FINALLY have found him, her father, even though Red perfectly know he is not ! I'd be completely disgust of Red...
Hot Shame Well... I was wrong... But that 2 of my 3 arguments are still valid. It was one stupid move and mainly people are so done with the show and does not want to come back. This is the stupidest move but they did it and I'm pretty sure it was a jump the shark episode. And yes I'm disgust of Red. Because no matter what you think of Red or of Liz, you've got to admit that what he did was particularly vicious.
Stephanie M I want him to be her dad so bad, that's right but honestly if they go back after all of this and makes him being her father, it would be even more ridiculous and dumb. I'd be even more done than what I am now, with this show, but on the other handbit they did it, it would not surprise me more that this. I mean, this show is incapable to stay with only one plot, they always got to shake the things up even if it comes to be nonsense.
heres how i knew about reddington is keen father is remember when elizabeth was saved from the fire in the episode when he had his shirt was off and he showed his burned back and thats when i knew that he was and the tips he kept giving her and says nothing else and when he knew elizabeth real name is masha restova or masha reddington i dont know what will happen in the 5 season does anyone know what happen to her husband
Yep. So the thing is, even tho a lot of people say that he Is the father NOBODY can explain the romantic and even sexual undertones in the show. That easily makes their arguments invalid. Oh yeah also remember when Liz said that she loves Red? Oh and when he confessed that she's basically his life and heart? Cool. I understand their struggle tho, this plotline bored everyone to death couple of seasons ago and it wouldn't make sense if the writers came back to it, right. But the thing is - the writers are not that smart enough. Also it's certainly good for Red to let her think that he's her dad because her safety, his whole criminal career stands on whether she knows who her real father is or no.
who gives a fuck about the sexual undertones, lol the writers themselvs confirmed it in interviews. yall that desperate for incest or what, ofc she's his life and heart if she's his daughter. and she said she loves him bc he's the closest, with all the fighting stuff, closest father figure to her. at one point she even believed he's her dad, and she loves tom. the writers said they planned from the beggining to make this plotline, and thought now it's the right time to say it.
EM, people who actually watch the show? And if you followed the writers you would know that they keep going back and forth with their "confirmations" and that nothing is really true. Only you, daddygators, can turn an extremely romantic speech inside out, it's really sad. I mean believe what you want, but that is just disgusting. ((Oh also I've heard the Same lines used for tv show called Scandal in a romantic context with a couple but it's not as if you want the truth right))
I swear..
That Man is lying..
He's OBVIOUSLY the Mother.. ō-ō
U was trolling?.. Well guess what
Now we can see that you were right, dos you write the script? Lol 🤣
he is the father yessssssssssssss

She has a blood test from Reddington from over 30 years ago, not the blood test from the Man we all know to be Reddington.

He’s the mother not the father
Him being a mother equals the worst reveal in TV history.

Love this
