Thank you very much for watching. The video does not mention what you should do about a broken sesamoid bone, because this video is not about treatment of sesamoid injuries. This video is about the difference between a broken sesamoid bone versus a bipartite sesamoid bone. I'm sorry you were disappointed.
I have Bipartite sesamoid and I can feel it whenever I pronate. I used to be perfectly fine putting tremendous force through the medial pets of foot when cutting and juking, but this has really derailed my football career. I have tried conservative treatment for a while, what can I do?
Hi Doc on the run. Do you guys have a definitive answer as to weather an athlete with this could come back to full power/spring/endurance in the running and agility sense ( I play soccer at semi professional level ) and wonder if I will ever get that complete spring back that I miss. I’m at a loss right now
I am sorry top hear about your injury. I cannot give you any definitive answer without understanding you, your injury and specific goals/timelines. Just curious...why are you reaching out to me specifically?
I have a bipartite sesamoid and high arched feet, so I have chronic sesamoiditis. I have insoles that help but if I walk on the hardwood without it brings on the sesamoiditis right away. I wish there was more information on this, I want to make it better without surgery
I'm not a runner ... i subscribed because i like your drawing 😂
Thank you so much!!
Thanks. And there is nothing wrong with your drawings and your writing.
I kept waiting to hear what I can do about a broken sesamoid bone, but it was never mentioned.

I think it can just be removed surgically. Check sesamoidectomy.
Hey Doc, good job!! Dr Rich Blake
Thank you, Dr. Blake! True compliment coming from you!
Can you have a stress fracture on a bipartite sesamoid?
Thank you for the question. I have recorded an episode to provide a complete answer. Hope it helps!

Thank you for watching and for sharing your story so others can learn from your experience!
What is the current status? Did the foot repair or is this still a problem?
What kind of insoles work for you, can you share the name? Where can I find it? :)
@@angelica2275 I went to a podiatrist and got custom insoles for my feed. They added some relief in the sesamoid area
