can they just delete Twilight: Eclipse and remake the entire film solely on Rosalie's revenge on her POS husband and his friends by slaughtering them??? that'd be much more interesting than any of the other movies in the series....
right???? that's literally the best part of the movie
I’m the biggest AHS fan ever and even I can admit that the spin-off show is god awful, I couldn’t even finish it. However, the new season of AHS is actually really good so far and feels like classic AHS
I've watched the first two episodes and I'm on the fence.
I loved all of the channel zero seasons. No end house was my favorite though. Something about the emptiness of the series that just creeps me the hell out.
Very very well put! You nailed it.. That feeling of emptiness from that show.
I am glad someone recommended channel zero. I though you had already seen for some reason. Love the series, was pissed it got cancelled. You are in for a treat with butchers block and no end house. Apparently Brand New Cherry writer had involvement in both. I haven't seen it yet, I will have to check it out.. Thanks for all you do! I like watching your videos
Channel zero is a much better series than AHS. It's disappointing it got cancelled when AHS is still going after bombing so many seasons. Glad to see you're enjoying Channel Zero regardless its an absolute fave of mine
No one asked you
1984 was one of my fav seasons! So far I’m loving the new one and esp its social commentary. Thankful we have a horror series running this long that isn’t zombies.
@@lochnessamonster1912 I couldn't agree more with the zombies comment lol
Hey as long as u enjoyed it thats all that matters. I'm aware my opinion is my opinion and not everyone's opinion and some do enjoy the newer AHS seasons...unfortunately for me I just got tired real quick. I will always watch them with the hope of it having the spark it had in the earlier seasons but I also go in knowing I could possibly hate it lol it is what it is...I just thoroughly enjoyed channel zero and was very disappointed it was cancelled
@@ebonywilson1993 I appreciate your opinions, that’s what we’re here for! I can’t justify that it has fallen off a bit but I’m so ancient now that I guess I’ve lowered expectations over the years. Music and movies, creators rarely live up to their original works. Sigh
Edit: should I watch channel zero now? I’m sorry it was canceled :(
@@lochnessamonster1912 unless u personally brought it down don't be sorry lol but yes highly recommend . Only 4 seasons to get through so it won't take long
I feel the same with music and movies. My expectations are definitely lowered compared to where they were.
Love Channel Zero! Butcher’s Block is my favourite!!
I am not a huge AHS fan and struggled to get into the AHStories spinoff. But the new season of AHS (Double Feature) so far has been the best start to any of the prev seasons imo. It’s giving me Salem’s Lot vibes and feels just darker, no campiness at all so far which just works so much better for the subject matter. I hope the can stick the landing cause my big thing with AHS is even when they start strong the third acts fumble and crash.
I can’t wait for ‘Midnight Mass,’ Mike Flanagan’s new series, which has some King vibes as well.
I haven’t been able to get into AHS, but I haven’t tried every season yet, just the ones fans usually say were good.
I’ll have to try again with the new season.
@@CorbCorbin oh yeah, Midnight Mass is my most anticipated horror show of the year. I have been waiting for over 2 years since he had mentioned he was starting work on it. The fact he has been teasing this story in previous work of his gives it an added layer. I have high hopes.
Channel Zero Butchers Block was a bloodsoaked fever dream! Totally underrated
Rutger Hauer was great in it.
@@indauroleal7953 he was fantastic, great to see him in such a role before his death
Don't bother with the rest of American horror stories. It was so bad!
Thanks for the recommendations!! I saw your log of "the Block Island sound" and since it was a relatively high score, I decided to watch it, and really enjoyed it. I'll try with Pig next!
I watched Pig while my very sick dog was staying over at the emergency clinic and I was waiting by my phone for updates. It didn't end well for my dog and it wasn't a good choice of film to watch at that time (I just needed something to watch), but it made the main character a lot more relatable to me. I don't really understand the movie but I know that man loved that pig and nothing was going to stand in between him and his pig
I love these wrap ups. Thanks for the channel zero recommendation I’ve been considering it. Also, the way you roll your eyes at films you didn’t like is freaking hilarious. Awesome.
I ADORE Before the Devils Know...so underrated!!
I think I am the only one that like The New Mutants :-(
That’s okay! Each to their own!
I liked it a lot!
That sucks about Demonic… Neill did really good with District 9 and Chappie!
Yeah. I was so disappointed, cause I adore Chappie.
Pig is so weird and absolutely adorable at the same time. Some of the scenes are so beautifully shot. I absolutely loved it. The pig herself is tremendously cute
i will remember the end of block island sound forever.... especially the v/o.....
as a twilight fan, i completely understand the one star rating for eclipse. i myself just rewatched it the other day and it has aged the worst and is probably the absolute worst one in the series so it's ok we completely understand
I love Dog soldiers
Channel Zero is such a great series. I wish they would make more!
Season 2 was amazing
Season 4 of Channel Zero is my favorite. Hope you get to watch the whole series.
I'm doing live Horror Talk show tonight at 9pm pacific time and I would love to have you on so let me know.
I'd be interested in seeing you review Possessor : Uncut (2020)
i never comment but i just wanted to thank you for following me on letterboxd!! ive been following and watching u for so long and it made me so happy🥺💗
Thank YOU for following ME Brooke! ❤️
White Lotus was so damn good! So happy someone around here actually watched it. I truly think the saddest character was Alexandra Daddarios character.
Thanks for following me on letterboxd, Emma!
Lol I watched Sexy Beasts too and was just going to keep it to myself.😂
I loved the White Lotus. Are your planning on watching Nine Perfect Stangers on Hulu?
Don’t have Hulu here but will see where I can watch nine strangers once it’s all out!
Love Sidney Lumet's "Before the Devil Knows You're Dead" and "Brand New Cherry Flavor"
Can't complain about the video being too long. The more movies or shows being exposed the more to potentially add to my watchlist. Never a bad thing these days.
Even though I still love Dog Soldiers. (but hey - I had the same sort of discussion with my dad about the Suspiria remake - borrowed it to him to see what he thought about it. I absolutely love it to death (yes, including the witch orgy and epilogue), he hated every single minute of it 😂😂😂).
Opinions! Always fun to hear! 👌
A Lizard in a Woman's Skin is amazing and there's a lot more to it than what you said.
I mean if I said more I would give it away, but not my fav giallo film. And that’s okay, we all are allowed to like different things.
Thanks for sharing your watch list with us for August, Emma. I was a huge fan of Channel Zero's first season (Candle Cove), but the second season (No-End House) is very different in tone and I didn't enjoy it as much. I still have to see the 3rd and 4th seasons.
Here is my horror/thrillers for August:
DEAD HEAT (1988) - score 6/10
GAMERA VS. ZIGRA (1971) - score 6/10
DER SAMURAI (2014) - score 4/10 (really weird German film)
SLITHER (2006) - score 3/10 (too gory for me)
FAKING A MURDERER (2020) - score 6/10
THE JIGSAW MURDERS (1989) - score 6/10
WHEN A STRANGER CALLS BACK (1993) - score 6/10
ALLEN V. FARROW (2021) - score 7/10 (documentary mini-series)
SPIRAL (2021) - score 5/10
CORRIDORS OF BLOOD (1958) - score 7/10 (w/Boris Karloff and a pre-Dracula Christopher Lee, only appearance of these two together on film)
HOWLING VILLAGE (2019) - score 6/10
GAMERA VS. BARUGON (1966) - score 7/10
THE HYPNOTIC EYE (1960) - score 7/10
KEEP MY GRAVE OPEN (1977) - score 3/10 (saw it just for the title)
I really liked your patreon video of The Boy Behind The Door! Always enjoy your spoiler filled thoughts!
Thanks Liam
I love Channel Zero SO MUCH, apart from the last season (4). Couldn't get into the last season 🤷♀️
Unrelated but maybe someone knows about this movie, basically it's about a girl who is not entirely possessed by but being follow by a demonic entity (who she worships) there is another girl involved in this story and also some murders, don't wanna give away too many details as to not to spoil it in case you haven't seen it... but i'm sure you'll recognize it if you've seen it before... i saw it but totally forgot the name... many thanks to anyone who can help !!
I loved murder house and asylum, then life got in the way…never got back to it. But it felt like, when freakshow came out, it was everyone’s favorite. Like it the the mainstream’s gateway into AHS. But now, with your recommendation, I may just have to dive back in. 😊
Channel Zero was a decent (and sometimes very creative) series based off of creepypasta stories. I think their mistake was airing a season just a few months after a previous one (in March, I think?), when they had previously done all seasons around Halloween. Nobody even knew the last season was happening, because of when they did it, and the complete lack of advertisement. Almost like they purposely buried it so it'd get low numbers and give them an excuse to axe it.
Mosquito State is probably the worst movie I've ever seen.
Amusement Park is interesting in that it's not actually a movie, but a creatively done (and funny) PSA that Romero was hired to make. It would be unfair to judge it as a "film".
I was happy to see White Lotus and Hacks on your list! White Lotus was the type of show that honestly made me feel EXCITED about the power of storytelling, and how much room there still is for originality in the TV world. I feel like even if you hated what it was trying to say, it's hard to hate the concept around it but I'm sure people will. It was like a gut punch for me, albeit a strange one. So excited to see what Mike White does next .
channel zero has my entire heart. Really enjoy season 2 & 3, but like them all. All the seasons were filmed here in my province (manitoba baby), with the temple in the 3rd season actually being our legislative building! I wish it had got more hype, bc I would have adored to see more seasons
I saw Dog Soldiers at the cinema when it came out. Thought it was OK, but nowhere near as good as a lot of people now seem to think. Also saw Gothika at the cinema and hated it back then, though I have seen another video reappraising it recently that's got me interested in revisiting it at some point. I liked Lizard in a Woman's Skin more than you did, but OY I wish I'd some warning about the dog scene...
The green knight movie 2021 I will check out and pig movie also
Emma the ring tape movie 2002 so classic I remember watching in theater the ring movie 2002
"...it was so bothersome..." Hahaha! That cracked me up.
Huge fan of the New Mutans comic and the movie cast was great, so sad the film got lost in the Disney/Fox merger
I’m sorry this probably isn’t in the right place but do you have any movies like the fan footage movie troll hunter
Тhis White Lotus gives me 9 Perfect Strangers vibe.
I really wanted to like AHStories but the writing is just awful
Can anyone tell me if Teddy is all subtitled or mostly English speaking
I totally agree with you about the way you watch a movie, some of the best movie experiences with me were alone watching on a small screen.
Before the devil knows you’re dead is a classic.
Thanks for your suggestions, i find lots of hidden gems in your videos. Keep it up !
i didnt like before the devil knows youre dead... i found it really low quality
watch The Suicide Squad. It was a banger!
i love your wrap up videos !! also SUPER cool VHS of The Ring!!! thanks! :)
I saw almost the same movies in august. But also lifetime obsession movies.
I loved every season of Channel Zero and wanted it to return. Brand New Cherry Flavor is essentially Channel Zero season 5.
Have you watched Possum?
American Horror Story: "too much too soon."
Loved first season of Channel Zero but had to force myself to finish the second one and stopped after that. I found the second season just tedious and boring when the first one had been so eeriely creepy fun.
@@justheretocommentokdontwan685 I've thought about trying the next season so, based on your comment, I probably will!
I actually liked American horror stories I felt like certain episodes were definitely better than others but that’s to be expected with any show
"Just makes me wanna crawl inside a hole and die" - That pretty much sums up the entire Twilight series. 😂🤣
Ahhh I'm so envious of you seeing The Green Knight! I wish they hadn't pulled it from UK distribution :( Hopefully it does come out eventually! Pig was a real surprise and very lovely :) That Ring tape is soooo amazing!
It's snowing at select Everyman cinemas Friday and Saturday this week and next week!
Ohhhhh the ring on vhs is such a cool gift to receive 😱😊
I watched the first episode of the white lotus and I was extremely confused on what the story was, but based on your recommendation I'll finish it :P
We all know you watched He’s All That right after filming this video 😏
Correeect 😂🙏🏼
I felt so letdown by Demonic. I was so excited after the trailer came out and then it just was so lacking. Each time I felt like it was setting up something that would make up for it all it just fizzled ☹️
The ending of aftermath 🙄
V/H/S '94 is coming! 😫
Why you sad about it?
@@spookyastronauts no I'm not, KSKXNSMAKAM 😭✋🏼
The ring tape is sickkkkkkkk!! Really dug candyman, it was so nice finally seeing it!! Great video Emma!! Gotta see Green knight, the Blu-ray is droppin next month 🤘
Channel Zero Season 1 was filmed where I live.
Amazing!
I wish. That would be cool
Lmao I have been searching the past week for your monthly wrap up, def look forward to these!
channel zero is by the same creator of Brand new Cherry flavor
Yes i said this in my review of it :)

It’s so funny that you said Sexy Beasts was very Americanised because it used to be a BBC3 show in the U.K. many years ago. It’s been brought back for Netflix with British and American ‘contestants’?
My ex was one of the beasts on the BBC version way before I met him. 💀 Very strange show indeed, though.
Yeah they have done this to a lot of Netflix shows same thing with the circle! The American the circle was filmed in Britain with an American host. So weird!
@@spookyastronauts Yeeeeah. Nothing will ever come close to the British original of the circle in my opinion. 😂
Totally agree! UK circle is gold 🙏🏼🙏🏼🙏🏼
🖤
I watched PIG last night. It broke my heart a little, really wasn’t expecting it. Thought it was just gonna be another silly Nic Cage film.
I liked Brand New Cherry Flavour partially (first few episodes) but it was a let down in the later episodes and I couldn't get through the 1st episode of Channel Zero, maybe I had to start it again and not to give up until it gets interesting. This things happens with me very often especially if I'm watching a TV series. Can't believe I did same for GOT series. Waiting for your next video - New Horror films in SEPT. 2021 😊
I'm waiting for Pig to see in the cinema because it's meant to come out here in a few weeks but I JUST don't think I can wait for Green Knight as it STILL hasn't had an announcement for a release date in Australia and I have that digital 4k copy ready to stream... I'll probably see it in the cinema again if it ever does come out here but... but... AGH I just can't wait! Also I think I'be broken my record for movies in a month, thanks to both MIFF and Fantasia and taking a holiday from work, I saw 124 films so far this month! Also my god that Ring VHS I want one! Also also, fond memories of watching Channel Zero with my Monday night TV gang week by week for 4 seasons, (the 4th was my favourite) we ditched American Horror Story for it because we couldn't stand the campness of it anymore hahaha.
Watched and loved so many of the same movies this month! Pig and The Green Knight have been big highlights for me too. I can't believe August is over! -- Also, planning to check out all those Theroux docs! I live about an hour from Westboro Baptist (yuck), so analysis of their group always hits home for me. Thanks for the recs!
I agree with you about American Horror Stories. It was awful! Sad thing for me is I watched the whole thing. Every episode worse then the last. A big waste of time. The White Lotus was fantastic
I like most of the seasons of AHS, but I didn't care for the American Horror Stories anthology. Like you, I kind of liked the first episode set in Murder house. Episode 7 is also kind of a continuation of that story so you might like it as well. But yeah, I would mostly pass on the anthology.
I was looking for something to watch on Amazon and you mentioned Before the Devil...! I've always wanted to watch it but I completely forgot about it. Thanks : )
American Horror Stories was sooo bad I couldn't believe it. The ones with Billie Lourd and Cody Fern were watchable but overall - trash. It was renewed for a second season so I have hope for it to get better.
I also wanted to watch Channel Zero after watching Brand New Cherry Flavor. Now I definitely will.
Love your videos so much, I always feel like there are so many movies I need to watch! I was kind of looking forward to the AHS Stories, as I am a fan of the other series, but I'm hearing mixed reviews. My all time favourite anthology series has to be Inside No. 9. Every week there's another tale, and each twist is amazing! Some horrific, some funny, some moving, well worth a watch!
I think I finished Demonic because it has Michael J Rogers, who plays the super creepy Barry Nyle in one of my favorite films of all time Beyond the Black Rainbow! I don't understand why he doesn't get more work.
Loved the block island sound! Thanks for the recomendation
a suggestion; you recommend movies for the month, but never seem to watch/review most of them. would love your thoughts. when i see the movies come up i never know if i should watch or skip lol
btw, louis is king i adore him
Loved Pig. There's a speech he gives which is riveting. The kid with the mole from Hereditary is great too.
Aftermath is so bad! Oh my God. I regret watching it
Pig was a very needed cleanser, I loved it.
Also I finished Brand new cherry flavor in a day, great show
Channel zero was my favourite show ever so sad it didn’t get any more seasons butchers block was my favourite Not sure if you have watched it but we saw Z on shudder a few weeks ago was terrifying 😱 deff recommend
Loved Pig and Mosquito State. Thanks Emma.
Have you seen the villains? I really enjoyed it. It's on Netflix.
The Green Knight is the best fairytale story of 2021
Demonic had one of the most annoying editing choices I've seen in a film in a while. There is a scene where the main woman is out to lunch with someone and its so windy you can barely understand what they are saying. I wonder why Neil Blomkamp didn't do another take.
Dog Soldiers is my favorite werewolf movie😎
Goes and watch the white lotus after watching this video
ahstories was super disappointing but i did really like the baal and feral episodes
Have you ever seen the movie Turistas? Stars Josh Duhamel, Olivia Wild and Melissa George. Curious as to what you think about it. It’s a 2006 release.
Yes :)
Underrated ah. If medical horror makes you squeamish, then it’s a must watch.
@@lochnessamonster1912it’s one of my favorites. Great casting and a horror movie I can watch over and over. It’s all the ‘musts’ for me. Just my opinion.
Emma why don't I get ads before your videos???
Do you want them? 😂
@@spookyastronauts I was just curious.. It's much peaceful this way!!!
Not sure, is as blocker on?
@@spookyastronauts Nope it isn't on.. but maybe it's because of my region(india) but then again I don't think where you stay matters in these things...but anyways I like it this way😅
channel Zero is a good anthology Horror series. is a shame the series ended so soon.
