Power by wire, fly by optics, intelligent flight control system, fully autonomous flight control software systems, and supercomputers for aircraft systems should be implemented on every airplanes and helicopters.
What a strange term to use? It makes it sound like there are actual cables being pulled as such? Why don't they just say, computer controlled or at the very least electrically controlled?
Not to be confused with fly-by-wire systems on space craft. This meant "the wire" was the logical pathway the autopilot would use to maintain the craft in a pre-planned trajectory. Perfect example is the space shuttles decent through the atmosphere. The shuttle had to have this because it was doing an unpowered decent to landing (gliding). NO ENGINES! Without an FBW the shuttle would not be able to calculate its place on the "wire" and thus miss its target and kill everyone. Realistically to use the words "fly by wire" in aircraft is very mis-descriptive. I think a more appropriate term would be "augmented controls" or "power stick"
Pilot operate mechanical then with the help of transducer its converted to electric then again to mechanic (hydraulic) same as old earlier aircraft only signal are transmitted electric with the transducer?
But if in the abnormal situation of emergency where the norms will no longer be rational, is it true that the pilots would be just helpless under such circumstances? (Since the computer won't permit any exceptions)
Its true that the computer will not allow exceptions, but to cater for abnormal situations, some control surfaces will also have a direct mechanical link which would act as backup.
@@chard6649 there are many factors which led to that incident, but it was mainly because the FBW was a very new concept back then, which led to some confusion on what action to take. But currently fbw is a safe system!
Hi sir why you not create this topic video how how work at helicopter ac system how work at helicopter engine cooling system, how work at helicopter throttle cable.sir I am tell you this topics because I vill making from helicopter in my home.so please help me sir please
The FBW system is only for the movement of control surfaces. The Auto Pilot system provides flight management and flight guidance! This could be useful: my video on Auto Flight: ua-cam.com/video/Y7fHt4OXjew/v-deo.html
On Airbus A320 Autopilot off-Pilot sends commands through the sidestick to the flight control computers. Autopilot on-Autopilot sends commands from its FMGC to the flight control computers.
So it isn't control by actual wires (hahahah), in layman's terms, it is a digital feedback control system. I think that would be a more universally understood term than fly by wire
Aiml to replace flybywire system in quantum silicon chipping for safer flights without pilots over long distances transfering to other advance feild developments.
@@JxJAVIATION Yes. It sent the plane into a nosedive twice. If the pilot hadn't been an ex-navy test pilot everyone on the plane would be dead now. And there were a couple of planes that went down in the same way not long after.
Very nice, crisp, and informative video of fly by wire system. A big thank you to you sir. Keep updating more and more such videos.
Thank you so much! Will continue! Check out my other videos as well!
One of the best vid on fly by wire technology. Thanks
Thank you and Welcome! :)
Lots of informations in one video , that was absolutely helpful , big thank you and keep going please .
Glad it was helpful!

The next generation of aircraft will surely have these!
The technology isn’t there yet.
Aircrafts should not completely go automatic. Room for human control should always be there.

Then how about the sad Air France 296 incident, sometimes I just don't feel safe about fly-by-wire though it is said to be safe

Does the new 787 and 747-8 have fly by wire?
I believe the 787 has a fly by wire system and the 747 has a conventional flight control system.
787 is FBW. 747-8 has fly by wire for the spoilers and 1x set of ailerons of each wing
No they use Bluetooth

Wasn't Qantas flight 72 a fly by wire system? It didn't keep them safe.
Because of some failures the fly by wire system gave incorrect commands
