Beatiful. Two of the best. I like Nautilus line slightly more. They feel warm and less digital sounding. The 801Nautilus is more full and less airy imo. B&W will always be my favorite, the craftmanship is top notch.
Overrated speakers ..I bought the nautilus and retuned it..Got the focal maestro utopia instead...B&W is overrated and flat..A flat amp is good a flat speaker not for me...Total junk but looks cool
groovy grover : Generally speaking Focal and B&W are complete opposites soundwise from my limited experience with those specific models; the Focal being typically French bright, exciting and forward VS B&W being a more laid back, reserved British sound. Nothing wrong with either sound as long as they are paired with complementary electronics, then either one can sound glorious. Paired with the wrong electronics and both will disapoint.
groovy grover : what nautilus you used bought? I AB compared:801nautilus with 801D, 801D Sounds improves , and this video, 801d with 800d2, 800d2 is much better ( more live....) . I like Focal too, I use Focal 908 series as theater
When I listen to music if I close my eyes and concentrate on the music if the sound does not sound like I’m listening to it on stage I don’t enjoy the speaker..All the words like forward and reverse bright and dim make no sense to me.For 55k I expected goose bumps focal delivered and B&W is a waste Of time to even audition again..Total write off

800D2 sounds more live and more extended for middle and high. Lower is faster. 801D1 more relaxed.
Love the room however, that stereo setup makes your room look hideous. It’s to bad you can’t make the system visually disappear in the room.

Palmtiger the Nautilus paid 55k for the pair and looked good but sounded horrible..For this kind of $ the speakers need to sound whole but dint..
