Since over the course of this series some people have commented about not understanding the mechanics of the game and others have complained about the Yogscast Guarantee, I decided to make a very long-winded more constructively worded critique of the strategy at play here while clearing up game mechanics. No one asked for this, few wanted it, you're welcome! (this will be for the whole series, in retrospect, not just this episode)
Puppetmasters: At the beginning of the game, players have 3 slots for Relics that give special abilities. There are a pair of "crowns" (relics that take up all 3 slots) that give you the ability to win by puppeteering someone else to victory. However, this only works if they win via their Prestige, the victory points of the game. If your selected puppet takes Pandaemonium and wins that way, you still lose. The Yogs think incorrectly that the puppetmaster would still win, though they do have an appropriate level of paranoia otherwise. Taking the puppetmaster crown also doesn't stop you from winning in other ways, Lewis seems to think it does. Also, some relics are publicly visible at the start of the game, you can click player icons to see info about them, if any relics are visible, you know they aren't the puppetmaster, if all their relic slots are hidden, they may or may not be the puppetmaster. This allows you to identify potential puppetmasters early, so you can keep an eye on them.
Armies and Battles: battles are usually pretty predictable, armies compare ranged, melee, and infernal stats, in that order, with the higher number dealing the difference as damage. Special abilities might change that order, make a phase happen twice, etc. The Yogs overall understand this pretty well, though they don't always actually take the time to measure whether or not they'll win. They all, however, do a pretty good job of equipping their legions to maximize performance, that said, there were a few nuances they missed. First, anytime the game says "damage" it is referring to specifically the damage that would be inflicted, not the stats. Whether it's adding damage, reducing it, whatever, it only applies after the stats are compared and the base damage is determined. They only realized this at the end, which is why Duncan could get away with bullying everyone, they overestimated what x2 damage means. Second, support. Legions adjacent to the attacked hex add half their stats to their side. That's it. The Yogs grasp that support is a thing, and that you might get support differently based on whether you attack or are attacked, but they don't seem to realize it's relative to that hex. Also, locations don't offer support, though they can receive it. By far, Duncan grasped the nuances the best, and even understood that he could steamroll over armies and keep moving as long as his opponents died, whilst other players tried to body-block with legions that couldn't tank the loss.
Diplomacy and Total War: Diplomacy exists mostly so you can start sh*t, wagering and winning Prestige, i.e. victory points. When players come into conflict, the offended party can choose whether to have a duel or a war, and how much prestige to wager. If a war, they also choose how long it will last and what their win condition is, affecting the gains. Being the offended party, and therefore being able to decide how things go down, is therefore ideal. Normally, you demand stuff from someone else, and if they refuse you are offended. Insulting someone robs them of Prestige to offend them, you don't do it if you want to fight them (as it gives them the advantage) you do it when they can't attack you. The Yogs don't seem too sure about how insults work, they are also very diplomatically passive. If you are scared of someone, you fire off demands at them, before they can do the same to you, something they do address in this video. For most of this series however, they wait for Duncan to come to them. Since wars are limited in nature, you also want to be conservative in how much you invest in them, rather than throwing you whole army into a single war every time. Of course, you actually can ignore the bureaucracy of diplomacy and just wage total war against everyone right away by simply attacking Pandaemonium. The Yogs only see the big apple of hell as a victory condition, but launching a doomed attack earlier on to deliberately excommunicate yourself allows you to eliminate everyone else, at the cost of being locked out of the market or the Prestige win, and being vulnerable in turn. This is still an important strategy that none of them have discussed thus far, though it is very risky without the event card that forgives excommunications.
Duels: The Yogs don't know how duels work at all, which is pretty understandable. Basically, the Praetors will have a score that comes from a couple things, higher score wins. The number in the top right of their card is their base score. Then you pick a move, which adds more and might have other effects. There's a rock-paper-scissor aspect to the moves, if a move is countered in this way it is completely cancelled. Finally, whoever gives the bigger bribe to the arena master adds their Charisma to the score.
Powers, Rank, and Economy: You spend Tribute (i.e. money) to level up your Powers, the stats of your leader. Each power that gets to tier 4 gives you more actions, which means more Tribute whilst still doing other things. Powers ALSO add schemes (missions for prestige) related to them to the draw pile, so leveling up your Powers is also how you get more scheme prestige. Prestige wins the game, but can also be spent on political rank, the higher your rank, the more tribute you can get AND the more Prestige you can wager in diplomacy. The more tribute, the more Powers. Powers and Rank are interconnected parts of ramping up your economy in the game, and while the Yogs recognize that powers give good stuff, most don't seem to see that bigger loop and therefore don't prioritize them as much as they should. You should make getting at least two powers to level 4 a priority, and maybe start work on a third, depending on the situation. Getting to the highest rank also (while costing a lot of prestige) gets you plenty back, especially since it gives you a powerful Humiliate diplomatic option that starts wars quicker. Also, Prestige comes from battles won, so bloodthirst plays a role in the economy as well. All of the Powers also have a big picture role they play in your strategy (and in blocking your opponents since your powers are also your ritual resistance) which might not be immediately evident (only Daltos and, at the end, Lewis really seem to grasp their importance), which you should know when designing your build, so let's finish by discussing each.
Wrath: Wrath is military supremacy through the power of Logistics. It has rituals to strengthen your armies, sure, but leveling it up also passively increases the number of armies you can have and how fast they heal. Stratagems, aka one use custom relics with effects hidden from others, are also locked behind this. Anyone can build a legion of great power, Wrath is about having numbers and flexibility to fight on multiple fronts and bounce back from losses.
Deceit: Deceit is about balance-of-power manipulations. Its rituals steal things or affect the movement of enemy armies, which can be nasty sabotage. But most of all, Deceit unlocks a magic mirror that can disguise your identity, allowing rituals to be cast anonymously, even if they would normally violate diplomatic norms. Want to use Destruction magic to kill a threat without even going to war? Deceit. It's what you use when you want to pay attention to what other people are doing and undercut them while making a profit.
Prophecy: Prophecy is about options, information, and control. It lets you pick from more options for schemes when you scheme, more events when you get events. It shows you who bought what in the marketplace, how likely spells are to work, and what war goals and praetors others send your way. It gives you more ritual slots to maintain more magic simultaneously, and gives counterspells to block bs. The highest tier Augury ritual lets you know another archfiend's relics, allowing you to sus out puppetmasters. Prophecy maximizes choices and knowledge in a game where both are limited.
Destruction: Two words: air support. Destruction is the most basic in what it does, a lot of spells that hurt in different ways. It's the only power that is purely about rituals (other than the obligatory order and schemes). However, kills made with Destruction count as kills all the same, so Destruction allows you to threaten the whole board and use pure magic as a coercive tool in diplomacy. Most cheekily, you can throw a fireball at Pandaemonium to excommunicate yourself anytime, as a nice surprise to everyone you border.
Charisma: Charisma is the econ build. More options at the marketplace (the only time more options aren't Prophecy), rituals that give more prestige, more money, transmute money etc. It also unlocks manuscripts (single use items whose pieces have to be assembled) and gives bonuses to Praetor duels. Those last two seem weird, but they're important for playing "tall". Duels allow fighting without relying on any territorial control, and manuscripts let you optimize their moves. Meanwhile, legions have limited slots for attachments, and manuscripts don't count against that, allowing you to stack bonuses that don't compete with anything else. You can see Lewis towards the end using Wrath and Charisma alike to Blitzkrieg the map with mobility buffs that came from manuscripts.

Thank you very much for the informative post. We did know some of this, and didn't know most of this, definitely. This was everyone's first or second game, and most of us had only done the tutorial before this. The way the game played out, we didn't really do any duels at all until a few at the end. I intended to do TONS of duels, as Andromalius is good at it, but once I accepted to be Pyrion's vassal, the entire diplomatic sub-game was basically grayed out for me. We all really loved this game, but we struggled with lots and lots of tech issues, non-functioning turn timers, restarts, pauses, etc, etc. I think second (third) game would go very differently, with all of us having a lot more knowledge about the game. Cheers!

There's many silly things you can do mixing and matching various powers too.
One of the sillier things that I think is worth mentioning is that you can actually excomunicate other people by attacking Pandamonium with a destruction spell whilst using the Masking Mirror and paying the extra cost to instead frame someone else as being the one casting the spell. It's a bit risky, because Pandamonium has a flat 50% chance to see trough masking mirrors, but if you're a gambling man, and someone else is getting way ahead, it can be worth just taking the risk and excomunicating that person, even at a risk to yourself, especially if you aren't appearing as a big player at the time and would be a lower priority target to kill then the other guy in a situation where you just fire off multiple spells expecting you both to get excomunicated.

Yes, game would have ended after this turn with a Victory for Belial, the best Andromalius could have done was attack Pandemonium with support from the other unit but wasn't enough to overcome Pandemonioum Stats.
