- Pets cockatiels fly at Formonthills in Scotland! Have you seen anything so beautiful?! Free flight is such a beautiful gift that we can offer our birds. But it is only beautiful when done safely and correctly. Sorry for the harsh warning in the middle of the video, but too many birds are getting lost and people need to be made aware of how important it is to contact a mentor.
Hope you guys enjoyed the video! You should check Frank out over on:

Even in slo mo they are still soooo fast
One video is at full speed to show a comparison and it looks sped up. They are ridiculously fast and I hate it XD
Fantastic video, loved it, tiels have special place in my heart 💖💓💗
The three tips for easy free flight were perfect 👌😂
I've had a few people get into a debate with me via DM, telling me to stop saying people need a mentor for free flight. 🙈
Always a delight to see the flock in fight, and Frank is doing amazing 💙
Thank you! 😂
Ah send them my way. I’ll straighten them out *rolls sleeves up* 😂😂😂
Frank is doing incredible 🥺🥺🥺 so proud of her progress these past few months
Some great shots of them flying here!
Also agree with Sophie, love the tips, especially the last lol
Great entertaining informative video. Loved the rant about people being irresponsible with free flight. Personally I thought I knew something about free flight via the internet, but thought I’d best not fly my bird until I got my self a mentor, which was the best thing I could have done. As it turns out there was tons of information I needed to know about my species of bird to safely start the free flying journey.
It’s crazy how much information goes into free flight!!
THIS CHANNEL NEEDS MORE SUBS
I would love to give my cockatiels the opportunity to fly. But I am scared they won’t come back or a wild animal attacks them….Anyway, it’s so beautiful to watch them! The trust they have in you is amazing!
I just got turned onto your channel not that long ago, and it's been such an informative gift. My boy turns a year old in September, and I've learned alot here so far. Thanks so much! :)
I was waiting for your new video
Nice spot
So goooood
Thank you!
You upload again yay
Finally, huh? XD
@@SoaringWingsFlock yeah
Love those birds, how do u train them like that, they are so good..
It’s called free flight training. If you want to do it you need to find a mentor to train you. Don’t try this alone as you will lose your bird ☺️
Paco has issues 🙃 😂😂😂
So cuuuute🥺🥺🥺🥺 I have one too
Freeflight
Love your vids guys!
The rant was amazing although can't take you seriously enough with your beautiful Scottish accent
Why did you change your name?
Are you ever worried you may loose them xxx They are so lovely. I have 2 girls x
hiii i have a problem =) my male cockatiel is afraid of like mating with my female and im confused why like, he wouldnt put one leg on her back but then wont jump up anyways that's not the point, last year i was at my grandparents, and my mother took care of him, and when i came back his wing flopped, probabily broken somehow and healed badly and he cant really fly long distance, would you mind telling me how he couldve broke his wing, my mom didn't let him out of the cage and didn't stress him so im very confused
Why did you choose to free fly cockatiels? I have a Hahn's Macaw and I am petrified of the thought of her flying outside with all the birds of pray around. How do you know where to fly them safely? Or is there some secret I don't know about?
Honestly, we weren’t going to free fly initially. But shortly after chatting to others we came to the conclusion that the benefits of free flight outweigh the risks. You learn where to safely fly them from your mentor and then expand on that from your own experiences moving forward ☺️ it’s why in this video I tell people to get a mentor as too many people take their birds outside without getting trained by a mentor and then the poor birds get lost
Do you aware of bigger birds? I had a freeflying cockatiel years ago. I was always scared of a hawks when I fly her outside. How you deal with this? You can find my video under, Melu cockatiel.

Hey been a while! Cool vid! I'd love to free fly my new tiel. But need a mentor lol
Awww thank you 🥰 I’m beginning mentorship actually 😂
@@SoaringWingsFlock oh that's awesome! Is that gonna be starting soon? Definitely something for me to consider!
@@ornithologydude8649 yeah! I’ve been working on it for the past few months ☺️
Do you have any more info??
Please come to Korea to be my mentor..
Where is your white cockateil??
He’s very hormonal right now and cannot be flown sadly ☺️ he’ll be back out in a few months I hope

I’m trading my cockateil to free fly
I'd be too worried about birds of prey in Scotland
Yeah same here in the netherlands. But then again i know my tiel isn’t suiteble for freeflight outside the house. He is incredibly stubborn. He would even ignore millet if he gets the feeling im trying to recall train him.
