Did this on my 2000 9-5 that I purchased as a winter beater (only 120,000 miles on the car!). The procedure is pretty much the same. Except on the 9-5 I had to remove the alternator cable and a metal bracket in order to get access to the oil catch can. I forgot to remove the battery negative cable and got quite the shock and sparks when I touch that alternator cable with my wrench 😅I removed the negative cable, but goes without saying, I was very paranoid to touch that alternator cable afterwards lol

This procedure is also how to do it on a 2001 9-5 Aero... (same engine).

I did the same update kit to my 9-3. However, TSB 210-2418 swaped the upr hose locations on the oil catch can from the factory locations. I followed the TSB instructions & the PCV system works fine now. Check out my vid on 316 Automotive (S2E16) for the particulars & the test to see if the system is working properly. Maury

I believe you mounted the tube with a check valve that goes to the oil separator wrong. It is suppose to go past the intake manifold and be wrapped up with insulation. See 316 Autmotives video he did it right.

My car is identical I think, but my one-way check valve only has one hose connected to it and another hose loose. Just wanted to make sure both hoses are to be connected at each end of the one-way valve? Thanks

Nice vid, thanx! Whats the main point of this upgrade? All the hoses look the same. Old/new..Except for one extra check valve if i’m right... i’m planning to do this upgrade on my ‘00 9-3 aero, because of a little bit to much oil consumption. (220k km on the clock)
Should this upgrade be right for my issue?

Does anyone know where the skinny hose with one way valve from rocker cover goes to/plumbs to?
