    The one thing that I have to say about my Signia Pure C&G 7-IX HAs, is that they don’t like excessive sweating. This new Phonak devices sound like they will not struggle at all with sweat. I am also very interested on hearing users experience regarding this issue. Very impressive I must admit.

      I went to place my order July 2nd, l was there when my audiologist rang Phonak, we'd had problems trialling & deciding and she wanted to make sure my ear moulds from 2 months prior were still with them. Phonak told her perhaps it'd be better to wait as new tech was coming soon. Credit to Phonak, they could have said nothing & taken the £4k.

    I would like to see the comparison video between. (Audéo Sphere Infinio, Infinio Virto R) I'm interested in the virto just because of ear real estate with mask , glasses, an hearing aids. I'm assuming sphere is way more powerful especially with the extra chip. Battery life will be good to know also. Nice to to see more color options. Loud colors an patterns would be cool options. For the people that are not as self conscious.

    Where are the new Phonak hearing aids for the severe to profoundly deaf users ie BTE??? I really want Phonak to focus on that segment of deaf users that are struggling to hear and bring them to the next level. I would love to have rechargeable batteries incorporated for such users as well. I was disappointed with the Audeo Lumity 90. I am still forced to use disposable batteries and I go through them nearly every 3 days if I stream heavily. Come on Phonak. Do better.

    A question for you; with a custom ear mould, is the receiver captive, as in the mould and receiver cannot be separated, or can the receiver be disconnected/unplugged from the mould? I ask, as if its one unit, then the cost of replacing the receiver and mould is going to cost more.

      I just bought Oticon Intent just last week, I am very happy with them, my Audiologist gave me the second strongest receiver, I think there are many options of receiver power which your Audiologist can choose depending on your hearing loss. Phonak also supports different strength receivers, so my understanding (at least for my hearing loss) is getting adequate power should not be a problem regardless of who you go with, but obviously you should speak to your Audiologist to check as your hearing loss may be greater than mine.

    5:29 - "7,700 milion operations per second". You mean 7.7 Ghz?! 😮

    • @FlavienS57
      @FlavienS57 Місяць тому +3

      Hi ! It isn't the same thing :)
      7.7 Ghz would be the "number of cycle" the processor passes through a second.
      In a cycle, the processor could achieve multiple operations. OR, a unique operation could use multiple cycle to be done.
      Lets imagine a 1Ghz processor. It could (for ex.) do 20 times the operation : "1+1" in one cycle. So it could do 20,000 millions operations per second.
      BUT ! In some case, it could encounter a very difficult operation, that would take 10 cycle to perform.
      In that case, the same processor could do "only" 10 millions ops per sec.
      ""GHz"" (clock frequency) cannot let us fully compare different processors from different generations or brands.
      A newer model could do more operation in a cycle than an older one, so be more efficient. :)

    Starting my HA research and one thing I don't see is what the highest frequency hearing aids reproduce and is this is something one should worry about? Since my late teens I have had issue hearing in a loud environments like restaurants, and after seeing this video I'm thinking these may be the ones to start with.

    Will the Sphere tech ever come to the ITE Virto Infinio half shell? Or will it only ever be for the BTE Audeo?

    • @barryalanlevine
      @barryalanlevine Місяць тому

      Well, they announced a new Virto Infinio ITE this week as well, though seems maybe that just includes the new Infinio chip and not the additional DNN chip that makes it a "sphere" model?

    • @jazwright
      @jazwright Місяць тому

      @@barryalanlevine It does not include the Sphere AI chip. I'm trying to find out if Phonak has plans to bring the Sphere tech to the ITE. It's a spacing issue since ITE customs (their Virto line) has limited space. While the chips are very small, the board they sit on can be bulky, so it's a matter of if they plan to integrate the Sphere board with the existing ITE/Virto board at some point, or if they don't see Sphere coming to their Virto line in the foreseeable future.

    • @barryalanlevine
      @barryalanlevine Місяць тому

      @@jazwright Yeah, that's unfortunate. Seems like something they might have done upfront, if possible. But then again, they normally delay rolling out 312 vwesions for several months, so perhaps the Virto Sphere could be waiting in the wings as well, as a 312 version might free up some space inside.

    • @HearingTracker

    Hi Matthew, Love your videos, have watched for years, and as someone who just bought the Oticon Intent, does the Phonak Sphere Infinio improvement of (up to 10dB?) in signal-to-noise ratio, edge out Oticon Intent, which as I recall Oticon claims up to 12dB of noise suppression in complex environments, so how can I accurately compare these claims, and considering Oticon gets extra SNR improvements from its 4D sensor, does the difference become more down to the end wearers preferences or is one a clear winner in a noisy environment?

      @@Pro_User_HA Thanks for the tip! I did read the Hearing Tracker article by Karl Strom. While Phonak’s claims are intriguing, they’re based on an average of their top competitors-not a direct comparison to the Oticon Intent I specifically bought. Without firsthand experience with both, it’s hard to definitively say which is better. By the way, I had a jaw-dropping moment with the Intent today-walking through a noisy construction site with wind blowing, I could easily hold a conversation and the other person (who isn’t deaf) would normally just give up talking to me in that scenario, it performed like magic!

      @@eddyblatt, yeah, Oticon Intent is great! However, Phonak do made comparison with other two competitors (probably Oticon and Starkey). Of course, it's somewthat biased, but very interesting:
