I want someone to make an 8bit game with this guy's music as the background. You could play in both an Entente and a Central Powers campaign, for the music here is for the bosses, the battle of Jütland is the mid boss, for special stages you get to play as the unkillable soldier for the Entante, or a Strumtruppen Regiment or the Powers. Someone else probably has a more put together idea for this, but if they come across this comment, do it, I'll buy it in a heartbeat.
@@8biton I'd go to an experienced studio, I don't know any off the top of my head. I'm a writer, not a game developer. But we've proven that WWI games can be done in a 2d format. So far I've got small ideas for something like w beat 'em up/shoot 'em up, maybe a duck hunt Element?
I can actually think of the types of games that works well with these songs: Sarajevo: Starting intro theme. Stormtrooper: Side-scrolling action gameplay. Your objective is to take as many trenches as possible within the time limit. Time limit varies. Dreadnought: A third-person scrolling game where your objective is to sink all enemy ships. The Unkillable Soldier: Another Side-scrolling shooter. Soldier of Heaven: A top-down shooter where your objective is to fend off as many enemy troops as possible while dodging hazards such as crevices and avalanches. Hellfighter: Side-scrolling shooter. Race to the Sea: A tower defense game. Stop the invading enemy troops by placing down troops along the path. You also have access to a special power that'll wipe the screen of enemies. Lady of the Dark: Side-scrolling action-adventure shooter. The Valley of Death: Top-Down tower defense game where you place soldiers alongside the enemy's path to stop then from taking the city.
Sidescroller RPG Sarajevo: Arriving in the city, and learning more about the threat, looming over the world. When you are leaving, the city get's destroyed. Christmas Truce: After beating the final boss, you are travelling back to the beginning through all the zones you visited, seeing the land healing and population returning to ravaged lands, while you fall asleep. Versailles: Fast forward 5 years: Final parade in the rebuilt city, then realizing the boss survived and seeing a horde of their minions on the horizon.
Unfortunately I couldn't make it to the premiere, but I'm glad I could watch it anyway. This is a masterpiece. Everything about it is perfect (maybe besides that one "ä"), the animations, the music, the main menu, the intro. When I saw what you did with the spoken part of "Sarajevo" I was hoping that you'll do the spoken part of "Versailles" in credits-like style AND YOU DID, it's so amazing!

The spirits of the dead still guide me to the battlefields. Accompanying soldiers to the afterlife is a heavy burden, but the conductor of souls is ashamed to complain about it. Protecting them is my duty, comrade, and I will do it honorably.

You know you're a true Sabaton fan when the lyrics just play in your head without looking at the words
Sarajevo: Game prologue
Stormtroopers: Boss fight against the Stosstruppen
Dreadnought: Water level playing as the HMS Dreadnought
The Unkillable Soldier: Invincibility power-up
Soldier Of Heaven: Snow mountain level
Hellfighters: Onslaught level playing as the Harlem Hellfighters
Race To The Sea: Flooding the Belgian battlefields similar to the "Race to the Sea" game by Sabaton
Lady Of The Dark: Stealth level as Milunka Savić
The Valley Of Death: WWI Level set in Bulgaria
Christmas Truce: Bonus level
Versailles: 100% ending
Or better yet:
Versailles will act as the Credits page
I would suggest that stormtroopers feels more like a race track à la F-Zero and Hellfighters is definitely a boss fight song
@@toainsully No no no, that would be the Rise of Evil, sure it’s not on the album but it’s very appropriate

Bro, good content but the 8 bit at 1:27 sounds kinda spooky.
What kind of sound card do you using(ad-lib, soundblaster etc.) or its only samples?
Its a VST. Im using midi tracks.
Thanks for your answer...
Welp, time to open an arcade
Sarajevo: opening cutscenes
Stormtroopers: a fast paced shooter game operated with either a handheld gun or buttons and a lever
Dreadnought: a shooter game operated with a lever and button
Unkillable Soldier: a side scroller game with Adrian Carton de Wiart fighting his way through everything
Soldier of Heaven: kinda like Mario Donkey Kong where you climb the mountain, avoid hazards and fight enemy soldiers operated by lever and buttons
May I ask why Lady of the Dark didn't get released individually?
I still need to do that. Will get it done this week.
