======== Lady of the Dark LYRICS ==========
Who shall be remembered, In the ancient House of war?
All the medals, all those stories, In the Alley of the greats
Celebrated hero, who has wandered through the dark
She stand before you, all that metal shining bright
Lost in time, returning to the light
Bow before, this lady fights for life
    So sister
Raise your hand, For the lady of the dark
Soldier with no will to kill, with a philanthropic heart
Forever break the norm, She’s the girl in uniform
Fighting side by side with men, she will fight until the end
Lied to be respected, and to change her brother’s fate
Took a bullet, earned her freedom, and a place among the stars
Served the Iron squadron, served the toughest of them all
No fear of dying, for the frontline she was born
Sacrifice, she took her brother’s place
War to war, a place where she belongs
    So brother
Don’t fear the reaper, don’t fear the war
She spared the life of brothers
    She’ll fight for honour
    She’ll fight for life
    A lady goes to war

Once my captain in the army said: "Greek soldiers have a really big advantage compared to others. You don't need to worry for what will happen if we lose at war. You will be dead already if this happens". Serbians took that quote to whole new level, fighting even when they lost their country. And everyone has to remember that this lady did all these in a period of time that women were way below than men in society. Flora Sandes was a British woman who served as a member of the Royal Serbian Army in World War I. She was the only British woman officially to serve as a soldier in that war. Women can fight and fight hard for causes they see just.
Look up the book “They Fought like Demons”. It’s about women who fought on both sides of the American Civil War.
I can see, even as a moderate feminist, how war is fought mostly by men, but women can be just as vicious on the battle field when motivated.
Being smaller, lower center of gravity, a bit more flexible, and throw in a dash of PMS……….
      The enemy is doomed.
Why do you think the ancient Greeks told stories about worrier women such as the Amazons? Why the Daughter of Zeus, who’s biological mother was a mortal, was so revered and worshiped?
They had to have been inspired by amazing women that even the strict patriarchal societies respected them.

The Western world doesn't like Slavs. It is deeply rooted since the 19th century and the anti-Russian hysteria. For example, Poles and Russians traditionally don't like each other (to put it mildly), but Poles are still Slavs and jokes about Poles are told in America. The West perceives Serbs as "little Russians", partly because of historical ties, partly because Serbs are also Orthodox Christians and Serbs are assigned the role of villains. Terrible civil war in Yugoslavia in the 90s served as an additional catalyst for the demonization of Serbs.

Yet Hollywood, Television, Gaming, and entertainment in general don't make media about such women. I've seen way too many instances of them just lazily replacing the men with women. The same goes for people of color. There are endless numbers of stories about amazing women, but so called creatives are to lazy to do research into them.

Ar the beginning of the 20th century, Milunka Savić fought in the Balkan wars against the Turks in 1912 - 1913. Women were not acceped into the army in combat units.
She cut her hair and disguised herself as a man, enlisted in the army under the name Milun.
It assigned to the Drina Division and was part of it in two Balkan wars. She distinguished herself as a brave fighter, becoming the commander of the bomber platoon.
In one battle, she was wounded in the chest. At the hospital, they discovered that brave Milun was actually Milunka.
They wanted to demobilize her, but she threatened to turn in haiduk.
When she responded to the mobilization announcement in 1914. general Stepa Stepanović did not want to mobilize her, except as a nurse. At the intervention of a major Tankosić, she was mobilized.
She fought in the Regiment Princ Mihailo, the Iron Maiden. She fought six years.
She was wounded nine times during the war. Brave heart ♥️
