I THINK YOUR DAD LOVES THAT TRUCK BECAUSE IT REMINDS HIM OF HOW PROUD HE WAS OFF YOU HEADING OF TO THE AIR FORCE AND NOW OF WHAT U HAVE ACHIEVED ❤️❤️ cheers Marty (Australia)
Me too sending my prayers your way. I went through chemo, not fun at all,I'm sorry you're going through it,I hope it works for you, it didn't work well for me,and immune therapy did not work out either.im just living day bye day, till God is ready for me.its okay for me, because I know God is waiting for me.for you, keep fighting. it will be okay, you will win, have faith in are Lord.he love's all of us.
With that green you need an air force style logo for ol' Puddin's fab shop on the door. You should tag your rank and honors somewhere on the truck. Just small tags on the glove box. It would mean so much to him.
Just happened to be in Shawnee today, from OKC, I decided to drive a bit more and went over to Taco Boy. Ill tell you what, the owner of the place was a 100% pure Grade A human being. Very awesome people. Once I told him I came into there because I saw it on PFS, he gave me some of his stickers and all. To top it all off, I had one of the best burritos to be made in the state of Oklahoma. Hope to go there again sometime. Wish they had an OKC location.
You need to add that spacer for the flexplate to the snout of your converter.. the flexplate they sent you is for a 4l60e transmission, that snout adapter makes the older transmissions fit into the pilot of the engine.. OR you can run the factory 4l80e flexplate which is the correct size
Loving the build!! Another way to make loading the engine easier would've been to just pull the trailer on the concrete or on the concrete in front of the overhead door!!😂😂Thanks for the awesome content & all of the hard work you put into these videos and making us feel like part of the family/team!!
Puddin, Love the square body! Wanted to say I'm impressed with all the de burring you do - definitely a great idea to knock off all the sharp edges. My old shop teacher use to walk around inspecting our work and put a check by students name on a white board if he found any sharp edges - 5 checks and you flunked! Kept us on our toes but even today I knock off all sharp edges on my projects...
I sure like the hard work mixed with humor. Great stuff. Being over the hill by more than slightly it sure wears me out working on our old truck trying to get everything back in shape. These videos help my moral and sense of reality. This stuff ain’t easy no matter how young you are.
Pudding Pops is going to love this truck when it's finished. No doubt he supports you and what you do. Not sure what it is exactly about having dads support, but it sure makes you feel better inside. GOD bless, and THANK YOU FOR YOUR SERVICE TO OUR COUNTRY.
Hey Jacob... I live in Northwest Louisiana, near Barksdale Air Force Base. I think the connection between you and our area is super C😎😎L Thank you for your service and thank you for the generosity you display with some of your builds by giving back to others. You're a genuinely good dude. 😇
Thanks Puddin, your dad's gonna have a blast with this truck when it's finished and it'll be way cooler than that Tahoe? he's currently driving. Great video and great use of that 6.0ls!
I webt on another UA-cam topic binge, but I had to drop in and see how Puddin was doing. This will be a cool build, and your dad is going to be really happy! Take time for yourself and your family. It does the spirit well!
The motor favoring the passenger side is gm's way of keeping the u-joints in contant motion. If they're to straight the needle bearings wont stay lubricated and will dry out causing them to wearout quicker.
I know you will never respond to this comment but I fit two years old. I own the last two trucks my dad owned. I love them. I take care of them and the fact you’re doing this for your dad is awesome pop #
I don't know if some people realize the technicalities involved in setting the engine. I for one was impressed. Doing it all alone is no easy task. Kudos Puddin
Ole Roy is lookin GUD! So glad to be back on a build. Really looking forward to the Cummins build too. Ole Roy is a close 2nd. Can’t beat that quality pfs content as well as that merchandise!
I love that truck always since I was 5 years old has that been my favorite Body style love the big tires and the side step just makes it look amazin I get people are saying those aren't big tires but being born in the 70s trust me those would have been big tires back then.
You doing such a good job just didn't want you to forget to fix that frame where it was welded together you should also check where the steering box mounts make sure that framing cracked right there
Hey Puddin make sure and check the area between the steering box and the frame because of cracks and you can look up a fix where you weld in some fabricated frame stiffener’s. It’s for piece of mind.
Your description of the muffler sounds made me chuckle.! I'm looking forward to hearing the new exhaust rev up when you get it all put back together! Cool project Puddin!
This would be prime to do the ORD or DIY4X steering brace on the frame at the steering gear. Or for you being a fabricator, a Do it Puddself one. Also theXJ steering shaft upgrade for well under a 100 bucks and be rid of that rag joint.
This is heartwarming. You're setting an important example as a son and as a father. You'll never regret time reaching out to your pop. Lately, I'm drawn to Malachi 4:6.
i been watchin an waiting for that truck to come in the shop ! I used to have my dad's truck, a 1980 3/4 - 1 ton. full floating axle in rear and warn locking hubs on the front. the box, a full steel "rock box". sure miss them both
I know that puddin pop must be very proud of his boy. It is so easy to see from your videos that you are a hard-working young man and would make any father proud!
@@wesinbama I heard that the hoods were built to fold up there in case of a accident. How safe are those , I hope there safe , because Derek is the best .
This has been a long awaited build. I am glad to see you do the 6.0 and adding the vintage air. My question is why not put a 4l80e behind the 6.0? Other than the fact you currently don't have one.
Should replace the oil pickup and rubber seal I think is between the pickup base and block that starts going bad making these some oil pressure. Rear seal also and oil pump.
Regarding the last few minutes. Most of the factory setups are a “returnless” system. They have an in tank regulator and generally a dampener on the rails somewhere. So there’s guys that will put a regulator on the -4 valve on the end of the stock rails and then just run a full new return back to the tank
The reason why your freezer froze up to the fan is the fact that you had things on top of it most likely or the gasket for the door isn't ceiling right.
I THINK YOUR DAD LOVES THAT TRUCK BECAUSE IT REMINDS HIM OF HOW PROUD HE WAS OFF YOU HEADING OF TO THE AIR FORCE AND NOW OF WHAT U HAVE ACHIEVED ❤️❤️ cheers Marty (Australia)
He should be proud. He raised a hood man for sure.
She definitely needs a "Puddin Pop" decal for the finished product !!!!
Man - that dog sure does love you, Puddin'.
HOT DAMN!!!! It's Puddin' and Ol' Roy time, FINALLY!!! Even Theo is pumped about refurbishing Ol' Roy.
Don't matter what it is, any build for a guy called Dad is a build I'm behind!
made me tear up
Me too, 😥 love your comment.
Love your channel yours and mortske repair are the only ones i watch. Maybe you could fab a trailer out of the top half of the half hawl container
Puddin I waited to watch this till today to help me get through my first day of chemo and radiation. Your videos are so helpful. Thank you.
@rickregister9424, sending prayers your way!! 🙏🙏

A roundel would be sweet, don't know if it's Puddin Pops' style but it would be sweet
Eh - better to live in fame without the risk of going down in flames.

Theo just has a “who’s a good boi” vet check, I hope. 🐾🐾❤️
The tow rolla is the master tow.. Best car in the puddin fleet!
Fabulous progress, dude! I look forward to seeing more!!!
I hope you keep the Ol Roy on the hood when it's finished, it's what makes it Ol Roy 😊
OL'ROY will be on the hood
Cant wait to see the finished car.. but paint the inside green as well.. would look nice...

Theo the Shop Inspector is on it!! Good job buddy!
Building a flatbed on a project would be cool to see. I’ve always liked flatbeds
Id definitely box that frame
I always enjoy my visit to Puddin's garage. It's like visiting an old friend.
That’s a great looking rig. Puddin Pops is going to be riding in style
I figured theo would love that seat
Thanks for the longer video

You should cut a hole in the bottom of the bumper tire on the tow-rola. It's a mosquito pond.

So glad to see ya box in that butt weld frame! Gonna be a ripper!

Looking like hockey puck bed spacers
Good job puddin keep the body lift

your humor is fantastic there brother 🤪 always love the arm swing while on the lift haha .....keep up the great vids man . i binge watch now lol...
I’m with your dad, I dig that bed. I would hate to see it as a flatbed.

I’m with puddin pops on the looks of old Roy. Always liked short wheel base with step side bed.
I enjoyed this… I like the way the truck is set.
The LS & Vortec both can come without a regulator / return line, the ECU turns the pump off/on to regulate the fuel pressure.
115 k views. Rocking it…
Nice, i do hope you pull the cab and paint the chassis tho, its a great opportunity.

Great job on your Dad's truck. Ol'Roy is going to be looking sharp when you finish.
'79 ... Had dually like at... '80 had the square ish head lights. Chrome trim around the blinker/running lights is a good idea of a '79

Good content and can't wait to see more on this build...thanks..🔧🔧👍
Cool truck can't wait to see the finish project
I think I'm most impressed that you didn't bust any exhaust manifold bolts! lol
Great video. Remember to get some rest and just do nothing some days. Unload stress. You will feel great. Blessings and best wishes to you and family.
I do that Saturday and Sunday to the best of my ability!
My Brother drove a 1980 scottsdale, great truck
I hope that fire wall gets some black paint.
Teck tip you should mount a winch in your garage to help you pull your cars in
Need to get your Dad a set of VGG Hood Saver 5000 brackets for the hood. I’m sure Derek would send you a set if you promoted them.
didnt he already fabricate something similar before to re enforce another hood?
Be cheaper to make them
@@wesinbama I heard that the hoods were built to fold up there in case of a accident. How safe are those , I hope there safe , because Derek is the best .
He's a fabricator, would be pretty weak to buy something he could easily make.
@01ls1z28dabx Nothin wrong with guys supporting each other.
You can put the kick down cable into cab hook on foot pedal
Bringin Ol Roy back to the future for Puddin Pops! Great way to pay it forward mr.!
The five-foot wide pile of rust after getting the radiator support off really was... Impressive.
I love how much Puddin loves Theo. He is an amazing pet owner. Even had the AC on for him while towing and pushing ol Roy
The square bodies are taking over the UA-cams! 😁👍
No body better than a Squarebody.
Obligatory comment!
Love my shortbed square body pick up.

Theo did a excellent job inspecting everything after the wash job. He is doing great as your mechanical support pup!!!
You have a hell of a lot of work ahead of you, WOW.
Week an Puddin will have it done...lol or so.
You are a good son Puddin, Puddin Pop is a lucky dad.😊
That's some realy good work!
Ol' Roy lookin' good! Do what you do and never change!
Forward progress always great 👍
I believe the sleeve on the fuel pump is just a sound deadener!
I love that your doing ol roy for puddin pops.. I worked.on my dads truck for him all the time, and he watched me work on my scout2.
Should replace the oil pickup and rubber seal I think is between the pickup base and block that starts going bad making these some oil pressure. Rear seal also and oil pump.
Keep the body lift Ol Roy looks tough like that❤
I vote to paint it with the new sweet patina spray on bed liner. Get the version you can tint and add some green.

Time to build sliding doors for the garage

Corvette fuel filter with return. It provides the return to the tank, and pressure regulation all in one.
I hope Puddin knows how much therapy Theo is saving him...js😂❤
❤The Puddin & Theo Show ❤ Always love Mondays.😊😊
Theo is such the micro-manager. Give that good boy a treat! Good to see Ol Roy getting some love
