How to Pass the HGV Lorry C+E 3a DVSA Test for Coupling and Uncoupling to a Class 1 C+E

Take a look at the basic routine to help you pass the 3a lorry test. How to take off and put the trailer back on safely and in the correct order.
The 3a test is conducted by Dulson Training Ltd assessors and will include a reverse and coupling manoeuvre for Class 1 Cat C+E articulated vehicles.
The 3a for a Cat C Class 2 rigid vehicle will consist of a reverse only.
We have multiple 3a test sites in West Midlands and North West
You will need to pass the 3a test before you can take the 3b on road driving test for the same category of vehicle. The 3a pass is valid for 6 months.
Only approved DVSA 3a sites and assessors can conduct the 3a test.
