    You know what you are talking about thoroughly. Thanks! I've been licensed since 1972. I recent got a IC-7100 and never got DR to work. I tried for weeks now. I'll stick with CW, HIHI

    An update.
    There's a post from Icom at their US Facebook site saying the ID-52A is now shipping here.
    I guess how long you have to wait to receive your unit will depend on your place in the ordering queue.

    But Andreas, what is a reflector, what does it mean to link a reflector and what is xrf etc. I felt you did a good job of explaining the radio but you did not give an overview of how DSTAR works.

      Reflectors are basically a conference bridge for D-STAR. They allow multiple D-STAR repeaters and Dongle users, from around the world, to be joined together and whatever information is transmitted across one of the repeaters is repeated across all of the connected repeaters.XRF XLX are different types

    Good video been a very good help to me,
    HI had Dstar for while now, i use id31 but still a novice trying connections other than the main reflectors, I have now been looking for person to person connection info across the newtwork, I know it possible but still struggle with it, woder if you have any tips.
