I thought you must pick a reflector first? and if want to change unlink then link to the new one....then pick use reflector to get to CQCQCQ.....A quick run thru if I am correct would be appreciated?
I am about ready to return this 52. It is my third Dstar. I have a 31 and a 74 and have no trouble working station on my open spot 2. I watched your setup and seem to have mine set but no stations can hear me. I can turn on the other two and make the contact. Their is no audio going out. I can do an echo test and no problem. The open spot confirms the connection both on connect and disconnect. Any ideas?
@@HamTechRadioScannerDrones I guess so, type is set up a DV Repeater. I can change reflectors, And now it won't go to DR mode. Says it can't find a repeater but I have the repeater in it.

@@tony2wheelz408 Tony, I got mine to work. What is not clear in this video is that you have to put your call sign in in two places. This is not shown here but shown in other you tubes. I don't remember the other place but I know my call sign was missing in one of the places. With that in, everything works fine.
I tried to set up my ID-52A, but can't make a call using Pi-Star on 30C! I can receive everyone on 30C, but can't make contact! My Pi-Star dashboard shows no local activity. Any ideas as to what I might be missing?

Got my 52A setup after some confusing settings getn it to hook up with my TGIF HotSpot - Now it finally works. - MAKE Sure guys u Save It to Memory - this 52a isnt easy to setup and remember how. UFFDA GOTO Icom site and get the FULL MANUAL - I Found it on ICOM site in Support just now. Lots to read thru. Andreas, How DID u get MEMORY on the MENU in place of SCOPE - And did u get the GPS Info Below the Dstar windows? 73s man - THX

question, my hot spot is on it shows that is wireless but I can't find hotspot on my radio, what could be wrong?
Your radio needs to have the same frequency as the frequency entered in to the hotspot using pi- star the radio must be simplex dv mode .

My Pi-Star wont link to any reflector. What might be the problem ? Do I need to register anywhere to the D-Star network? Thx
Yes register Dstar also to set up a channel you set a zero shift .

I had no idea that the Icom id 52a was comeplety useless as a d star radio without a hotspot. Why don't they tell you this when you buy the radio?
