Every angler who ever dreams of becoming a pro needs to remember what he said “ … only after you hit rock bottom do you find out if this is something you truly want to do …” Truer words were never spoken.
What’s inspiring to me is the Rick Clunn is 75 years young and still pursuing his passion. I think that is a lesson and example we all could learn from.
The way edwin was pretty much star struck in the beginning and them the way he anxiously hung on every word that Rick spoke speaks volumes for the amount of respect and idolization that he has for this man. Sitting on the edge of his chair and just never really losing eye contact just is truly amazing. Great video edwin and God bless you buddy. And thank you Rick for all the insight surrounding the sport and showing us its not just about fishing but about passion and spirit. Something I think plenty of people lost sight of over the decades. Tight lines my friends 🤙
Mr. Clunn is, was, in my opinion always will be the best at the bass fishing game. I used to sit and use all of my senses as I observed him on the old FLW hour long shows. Btw-were the absolute best program for T fishing that will ever be.
Rick Clunn is the Jedi Master of fishing. His perspective on life and fishing are amazing.
Rick Clunn is the best of all time! In my opinion. KVD is Awesome. No doubt. Would love to see a fish off between them. No electronics. Just pure knowledge. 2 out of 3 wins. One lake, One river and the finals in Florida. Lake Ochechbee. Man what a event it would be. Maybe Johnnie Morris of Bass Pro Shops. 5 million dollar's to the winner and The Title. Rick Clunn seems to be a good honest man that could have probably done anything he desired but he chose fishing tournaments and became a legend.

Seminole in 94 or 95 I was pre-fishing a Red Man and they had a BASS going on. At night, Rick Clunn was sleeping in a tent beside the lake so he could be closer to nature and to sharpen his senses.
Edwin: What an amazing interview, two class guys. You are a great interviewer!! You ask a question then shut up and let your guest answer, that is great. Wish this interview lasted a couple of hours. Can’t wait for more of these.

Great interview with the greatest. I’ve had the privilege of spending a little time with Rick Clunn twice. Once at a hole in the wall restaurant for breakfast before fishing Lake Amistad and once at a Bass Pro Shop. He was super to talk to and willing to spend more time with me than expected. He’s a genuinely good guy on top of being an incredible fisherman.
Meeting Rick would be awesome. Something I need to ck off my bucket list 🙌

Edwin, thank you for all you do for others who love to fish for bass. There is no one I would rather have you interview than Rick Clunn. I believe it was 1983 when Rick won the US Open on lake mead and I was able to visit with him for awhile. I was working for Western Bass at the time. Little did I know at the time I was talking with the greatest professional fisherman ever. You have done a great job following in his footsteps. 🐟🎣🙏

When I start to feel like I just can't hitch up the boat and make it to the lake one more time....there's Clunn, about 5 or 6 years old than me still winning tournaments. Hats off to the man. There was an old Peter Beard in Africa film I watched years ago where an old African hunter was referred to in the local language with a term meaning, the greatest there ever was and the greatest there ever will be. That echoes my thoughts on Rick Clunn in regards to fishing. This interview gives a glimpse of why I believe this to be the absolute truth.

Well, that answers my question about who your all time favorite angler is. Rick definitely set the Bar High. He always impressed me with his intensity in analyzing details. I think his engineering background drove him to be that way. Definitely one of my all time favorites as well. 👍

I AM A FEMALE ANGLER AND I WANTED TO JOIN A CLUB BUT I WAS AFRAID THAT THEY WOULDNT WANT A FEMALE IN THEIR CLUB BUT I WAS LUCKY AND FOUND A SMALL CLUB THAT ACCEPTED ME AND I DID WELL AND MY HUSBAND AND I FISHED WITH THE CLUB FOR 20 SOME YEARS BEFORE THEY DISBANDED BECAUSE ALOT OF THE GUYS HAD RETIRED AND MOVED I WAS VERY LUCKY AND THANKFUL TO THE ORIGINAL CLUB FOR EXCEPTING ME AND GIVING ME THE CHANCE TO LIVE MY DREAM

I had mixed feeling about Evers in the past kinda wishing I was a boat official the way he talked too some of those guys but I do enjoy his interviews doesn’t talk over his guest and very respectful.
Man first off awesome video! But I have seizures and I’ve always wanted to fish for a living ever since I was a little kid but now I can’t do that, but I still have the love for fishing in my heart and I have this feeling that I might get to do that I just don’t know how to get started and what to do and who to ask I don’t have money I lost my job when I started having seizures and now I’m having to rely on my family for bills and food and all that. I just don’t know where to start or who to ask. Edwin I’d be nice if I could ask you’d the questions I have. But again thanks for the tips and the videos and God bless!

Rick Clunn also has won the WON BASS US OPEN on Lake Mead a couple times as well. I believe he was quoted as saying that is the toughest tournament ever! Guy is an absolute legend.
E , you dont see it yet , but one day a younger angler is gonna set down with you and have the greatest interview he ever had ! You dont realize it , but your already there ! And , your not done ! Great interview with TWO greats !
