I love this clip. The way they sound the era, the cars driving by. It all has some magic to it. It’s like a moment of sonic pleasure in to time. Beautiful and brilliant. Youth=freedom.
Stunning! absolutely Stunning stuff from the Comsat's..It's like jumping right back into 1981..the sound quality is A1.. Adored their first two LP's.. Steven Fellows voice one of a kind..has that Sheffield sound..incredible.. Kevin Bacon bass superb..love seeing the cars drive by outside...Easily up there with Joy Division, Siouxie & The Cure...The Comsat Angels RULE!!!! Thank you local for posting this important, historical musical document
All these treasures! Thanks Localfootage for uploading. Great footage. Building up the tension with that loop at the start - very cool. And the cars fleeting past below, what a great atmosphere, just need my Quad Amp and the Tannoys working cranked up with a crate of Warsteiner or any other decent German beer and the evening is made!
The intro looks like it's tape loop of some sort, as Andy is not playing a note when it starts (around the :23 mark), and Steve isn't even touching his guitar. I still wonder how they did that (I missed the reunion shows, so I'm clueless).
This is amazing, been hoping someone would post some early Comsats footage, Sleep No More is as good as anything by Joy Division, The Cure etc

Fantastic sound. These guys were at the height of their powers at this point. Sleep No More is one of my all-time favorite LPs.
So is mine.
Mine too.

Such a great band.
I love that extended keyboard intro. Everyone knows what that simple note is heralding and the the anticipation builds. Magicness
Absolutely perfect showing.

Wish I had been there. I saw them several times though. Keele university and The Locarno in Bham supporting U2. Most memorable gig I ever went to.
You lucky bastard - I only saw them once live.
I saw them supporting Gang of Four in '83. Great stuff all the way around.
Thanks!
everlasting love to the guy that got this on tape.. captured proper burgeoning genius
One of the greatest bands of the 80s PERIOD!!!!!!!!!!! Do the Empty House

That is fantastic! Can't wait for part 2...

@XMMX
The first song is "Sleep No More". You're correct on the 2nd.
yes
