    Thank you, Sir.
    I have viewed several of your videos, very helpful in identifying my condition.
    This one nailed it. I have been suffering for over 3.5 yrs. w/o treatment. In this past year, trying to get my NP, to direct my care effectively to no avail. Now if she will allow me the presence, and acknowledge this information I will present to her, I will be able to recover.
    Thank you again.

    I've had the rib resection and scalenectomy done on both sides. My right side has 100% relief. My left side has been a lot of trouble. I now need a pec minor release on the left. I was a competitive swimmer for decades. My symptoms were exactly as described in this excellent video.

    Last Monday I suffered the symptoms of the syndrome for the third time, on Wednesday I went to the osteopath ... every summer for these months the same thing happens to me, surely it happens when I relax after exams and get comfortable (maybe I take bad positions) ... now we are on Sunday, I am still recovering from the osteopathic session, which was more painful than the previous year, I hope to recover in the coming days, it is not pleasant.

    I have suffered for so long. I am in pain management now and no one listens to the fact that I believe have Thoracic Outlet Syndrome. I have paralysis in my left hand and immense pain and weakness. They have given me numerous epidurals and medial branch blocks. All to no avail. Why won't these doctors understand that I have a pinch somewhere within my brachial plexus?? I am only 46 years old and this pain and weakness is maddening.

      Pamela Alley---I need a DOCTOR !!! I am so feeling this, to the point of desperation...My word...this is unbelievable I Would love to find someone with something of what I have....I was actually BORN with Thoracic Outlet Syndrome.....BILATERAL...though it is extremely rare to have been born with this on one side it’s the more rare for it to be BOTH SIDES... as I was... as the textbooks states it, I was a twin and the other was not develop so they say you can acquire it in these situations and I did, I had extra cervical ribs on both sides and my nerves had been suppressed and damaged since birth....I cannot seem to get any help whatsoever... I had the surgeries years ago, first the left side in early 90’s then the right side in 2006::: I’m greatly declining and losing my ability to use my hands the severe nerve damage and atrophy. I was left handed and now can no longer do anything with the left just can barely write and then if it’s cold I cannot do that. It’s has seriously progressed over this last year and a half and continues to.

Prior to injury, ""unremarkable aorta"" Injuries: Spleen enlargement 2.0 calcified lesion, multiple nodes in media sternum, C567 herniations, thoracic stenosis, lordosis, L345 4mm slipped disc, Left shoulder SLAP/labral tears/glenoid cyst, Right shoulder Supraspinatus partial tea/rotator cuff tear/glenoid cyst 3.6 .. ulner/media nerve involvement, Swelling pockets down arms into fingers pain, numbness, tingling, blurred vision, light sensitivity, headaches, body jolting temple popping, dizziness, S1 nerve, zingers. @nabil ebraheim What is your opinion on thoracoscopic first rib resection?

  • @TedRob1958
    @TedRob1958 8 років тому +2

    I have two cervical ribs which first started to give me problems two years ago since which time I've had two tia incidents is it possible that the two things are related?

    • @jeangrey5911
      @jeangrey5911 6 років тому

      May be related, there is something called subclavian steal syndrome. It may be that these cervical ribs may compress your subclavian artery on 1 side, or both sides, therefore blood is drawn (stolen) from vertebral artery (ies) into subclavian artery (ies). Vertebral arteries supply blood to brain, therefore you may have transient ischemic attacks if bloodflow is decreased, especially when you turn your head to side.
      I advise you to go get it checked immediately with an orthopedist/ thoracic surgeon/ vascular surgeon.. This is a serious condition and dont ignore it.
