This is still my favorite playing review demo of the pedal to date! The tones that Owen Barry can coax out are astounding! I know he’s using a Fender Blackface amp though. I have this pedal and I still like the MKI better. I have both so no complaints. The Ultraphonix MKII is also a great buy guys! Now that pedal rocks and cuts through in a live show!
I wish I’d seen this demo before picking up a Texas Twang. The TT was so brittle sounding, nothing like demos I’ve seen either that or my guitar and amp didn’t suit it. This pedal sounds good to me though 👍
Hey what all are you playing through to get that tone at 3:12? I have a ‘68 deluxe reverb and am looking to get the tone you have for Dixie chicken at 3:12. Thanks
I've been wishing I could wear this kind of shirt for years. Sadly I'm a small guy. Asian and small. Even small among asians. And if I wear this kind of shirt, I'm gonna look like a child. Nice tone and playing btw.
Lift weights man! I trained this little Phils guy named Jun. He went from being barely able to bench press the Oly bar (45 pounds) to bench pressing 135 abot 5 times, in 4 months, he did not get way bigger but he looked like Bruce Lee, solid and cut.
Great Playing Owen! I'm just now trying out these Vertex pedals. I got the Dynamic Distortion yesterday and the Boost is coming today. The Steel string is coming next week. I see you've got the Boost after the drives in your chain. I'm wondering if you've got it set up as an "always on" pedal.
Greg Staton Hey .. I just saw this comment , sorry for only just now getting to it. The board I was using was the vertex demo board, not my own. I don't remember the signal chain if I'm honest.. sorry about that.
@@VertexEffectsInc In my opinion you should still make one of the original size, put the rock/jazz switch on but i really personally enjoyed the look of the two big dials better
@@DooblesGoDoobles lol I had the same problem man. I found one used in America through a friend (I live in Amsterdam). I prefer the looks and knobs of the MKI too, it also has more bottom end from what I've heard. From a business perspective tho, it makes sense to discontinue it because otherwise they would have to lower the price of the MKI in order for it not to compete with the MKII. And I'm guessing the margins on it would be too small, or the pricing wouldn't reflect the quality of the pedal/company idk. Anyways, we both own one now so, let's just play and enjoy it ;-)
Just added this to my board... Hell to the yeah!

Just discovered this guy on a Tal Wilkenfeld video... this cat has the goods
Bought this pedal a year ago love it even use it to reduce volume when playing late night btw this is my fav vid for it and man can he play 👍🔥🎸🦅
Amazing! So glad you dig it! Owen is king 👑
I get mine today. Can't friggin wait!
Let us know what you think!
Vertex Effects Can I get some info on how to obtain one of these please?
thank you
Very nice guitar playing... unfortunately that pedal is very very expensive here in my country. Wish i could afford it someday.
Great playing and sound! Loving my Dynamic Distortion!! What song is that between 1:40 and 2:20?

it helps if you don't wash you hair for a couple of weeks
Good thing that we got gift certificates to Weidner Salon before our next demo with wash, cut, and color included ;)
Any man looking at a man's hair instead of this pedal and tone, might be fudgy Johnny

Greg Staton .... however ... it's a buffered bypass pedal , so in affect it is always on even when switched "off"
Who is this guy....I wanna jam with him
Owen Barry
The first version is way better for some reason
As in opposed to the MK2?
No
Why'd you stop selling the first version? Finding one has been hell guys, i ended up ordering one from korea
it was replaced by MKII

@@DooblesGoDoobles it's gone, the MKII will have to do :). Glad you dig the pedal though :)
@@VertexEffectsInc Eh, i found one in Finland lol. I'm gonna arbitrarily own something rare now. Bye

I had no idea Jamie Lannister could play guitar like that.
What's with the little "clicking" when the dude turns it on. I don't like that.
Ruben Montoya It is the spring reverb making a noise after the new signal hits it, it doesn't reflect on the pedal itself.
It does click loudly when switching on
