Judy is so poised and well spoken, I feel like I know her personally. She is also strikingly beautiful and always captures my full attention. Michael is always wonderful and I have always loved her as an actress since the Waltons
I agree…I think she’s so elegant and poised too. It’s hard to imagine her as the spunky Maryellen sometimes. 😃
You can say that again. Judy has been a wonderful person who really does feel like a friend, amazing considering the only place iv ever seen her is on film or videos.
Thank you so much. That is so kind of you to say.
@@judynorton2598 your so welcome, it's more than the magic of Hollywood. You really are appreciated and loved.
@@judypasqualone3819 YES, it is..she's totally different than Mary-ellen, so is Michael Learned too
Michael created a character that made a lot of us feel loved. She is a joy. Thank you for this, Judy.
I completely agree. Loved her portrayal of Olivia.
My 1st MIL (1973) was very much like the Olivia, Michael Learned portrayed. ❤❤❤ 6:19
Micheal Learned has really carried her age well. Hard to believe she's over 80.
Ageless ❤️
Thank you Judy for this interview with Michael Learned, she is wonderful and what a great life she has had.
I loved having her come join me. Such a treat.
For those of us who desire family, but was not the chance in their lives to have one, the Waltons kind of took the place of the need and desire, watching your family, brought a sense of calmness and escapism, otherwise to a very ordinary life. Thank you for the great adventure!
Our pleasure. Thanks for taking the family journey with us.
I totally agree. I feel a sense of family and love. My favorite family is the Waltons💕💕
Longtime fan of watching the waltons show since I was a young girl in the 70s loved the relationship of the family cast members they really portrayed the waltons so accurately !Michael leatned's portrayal of Olivia reminded me of my late maternal grandmother from Texas she was the matriarch of 9 children during the Great Depression my late mom was daughter #5 & child # 7❤
I knew Michael's father in the "diplomatic service." What a brilliant gentleman he was.
Oh wow. How cool.
All I can say is the more I get to see Michael Learned as herself, the more I like her. What a wonderful interview. Thank you for sharing more of Ms. Learned with us. She is both a gift and a treat.
So happy you liked this.
Judy did a great job conveying what we all felt about Mama's character. She underrates the value she brought to the show although I understand the feeling of boredom. How powerful to so much with less. We are still in love with Michael Learned after all these years! Thank you Judy!
It is a challenge to balance a successful show and character so many love, with the professional side of an actor thriving on creative challenges.
Beautiful smile on my face
Judy wow
Michael beautiful

Wow
Judy, I cannot say enough how much I enjoy hearing Michael talk about her life. There is such integrity and warmth and honesty in her. What a treat to have had the privilege of working with such a person.
It was great and so grateful for these lifelong bonds.
I founded a children’s bereavement center in York, PA called, Olivia’s House. It was named after Olivia Walton because she epitomized comfort during painful times. When children lose a loved one, our mission provides comfort at no cost. I watched your show my entire childhood with my grandma, and I related to MaryEllen the most. This was such a nice show. Thank you so much for all you both have given to our world! Twenty years after we began our mission, it seems the world needs the Waltons more now than ever. We now have grown to two centers within our community to care for children after a loss. Keep on doing what you are doing, and we, at Olivia’s House, will continue as well!❤
That’s such a beautiful thing. Thank you for that! ❤
I love that you have founded your center. What a wonderful way to give to your community. Thank you for watching the show over the years.
This was a true bona-fide treat!!! Love both of you ladies. Beautiful women. I grew up with the Waltons and I dearly loved that show
Thank you for joining us!
I really enjoy your memories and appreciate you sharing these with us! Thank you so much, Judy! And thank you, Michael!
Our pleasure.
We have tickets to see Richard Thomas in To Kill a Mockingbird, and I cannot wait. Its going to be so awesome for them to come to our little town.
Awesome!! Enjoy!1
I saw it in Baltimore with my daughter! What fun!
I love what they did with Olivia's character after she more or less went through the empty nest. She showed her strength throughout the show being a Mom and then went on to college, became a teacher. If only we all had that kind of strength to move through life graciously. You Michael portrayed the character very well!
Glad you enjoyed Olivia’s evolution.
So enjoyable. Both episodes. I could easily see this have been 3 or 4 episodes just talking shop and life.
We really could have gone on and on :). So glad you enjoyed it.
Wow another wonderful interview, I can’t say enough how much I enjoy your interviews. You always do an excellent job , thank you!
Happy Thanksgiving

Happy holidays!
Michael was the heart of the Waltons. Very few people are so natural in a part on camera.
So true.
Judy you are so generous and you both were so real.. This was just beautiful to watch. So unbelievably heartwarming. Thank you so much.😊❤️
Our pleasure.
Thank you Judy and Michael. Love the genuine warmth and love you have for each other that crosses the decades.
Nice to hear.
@@judynorton2598 Was such a great idea to divide this into two halves (cooking and talking). Really enjoyed both.
Speaking of acting without saying a word, I just watched the episode when Olivia borrows the bicycle from Ike's store. That scene of her riding through the woods is so touching! To see a woman taking the time to do a little something for herself with the joy and freedom it brings if only for an afternoon. Beautiful!
Absolutely
Loved you both then,& love you both now. Class actresses I grew up with,& respect wholeheartedly.💯😀🫶🏾💜✝️🙏🏾🇺🇸
Thank you so much.
That was exactly what I needed to see today. People who genuinely care about each other, now and 50 years ago. That was a great talk between two friends, two actors, two humans!
Thank you! So glad you enjoyed it.
two great actors on other show er hated each other but looked loving on camera the Jeffersons supposedly hated each other but professionals they made it look loving
Have a good
Weekend
Judy wow
Judy is so down to earth she is able to put people at ease
Thank you, that is very kind of you to say.

Family and friends
Wow
I have always admired Michael Learned. My favorite part of your interview was when she told you that “it was easy to love you!” Your reaction to her comment was like a daughter being validated by her Mother.
It means a lot to all of us to have these close bonds.
Happy Thanksgiving
Toyou
Michael beautiful mother in the world wow Godloveyou much wow
Wonderful talk with Michael. Thank you also for letting us be apart of your life and the cast as well. The Waltons will forever be a treasure of wonderful memories of a simpler time and place. Have a Happy and Blessed Thanksgiving 😊
Thank you so much.
What a treat Judy thank you for sharing!
Glad you enjoyed it
Hi Judy!
It was so great to see Michael again. I see once again Olivia and Mary Ellen together again! You both share an extra strong bond, and always will.
Absolutely!
Watching an episode of The Waltons while I watched this. Judy has a nice gift of interviewing! I thoroughly enjoyed this! I'm a huge fan of the Waltons...watch it everyday. I grew up on it and so did my kids.
Thank you so much.
Hey Judy, you're right, Michael does have a strong presence, and sometimes, no words speak volumes. 👏 Great interview 👍
Glad you enjoyed it.
Loved the interviews with Michael Learned. It's true, her presence alone was so endearing and comforting when viewing the show. I sure missed her when she left. The Waltons were like an extension of my family.
Thank you so much for watching the show over the years.
Wow! I love that I just saw two people that I grew up with living their best lives! The Waltons was my childhood joy and now I'm 53 and still watch it when it's on. I know you were all acting, but you are one family that was family to a little girl in Canada. Thank you Judy & Michael for the work you did and the cozy times I spent enjoying my time on Walton's Mountain.
Our pleasure. There was so much truth and honest love and emotion in what we created.
@@judynorton2598 That came through and I hope you all know how special it was.
This randomly popped up on my youtube and I'm so glad it did! When I was a little kid, I loved watching The Waltons with my Mom and Grandma. Such good times, so good to see you two again! I'm 21 now, and I'll have to go back and watch that amazing show again!
Thank you so much for watching. Happy to hear you enjoyed The Waltons.
Cool
As I am watching this interview I am watching a Waltons episode on tv. Still a wonderful show.
I love that!
What an insightful interview with Miss Learned who says she actually welcomes having gotten . ..a few years older so that she doesn't feel any pressure to be 'perfect! I wonder if she now feels more appreciation for how Miss Corby carved her own trail and was unafraid of seeking new adventures even in her later years.
Yeah, it's a great skill that Miss Learned has learned to act without fellow performers 'catching it'!
She sure seems to now be enjoying her life in a way that would have made Olivia proud!
Thanks so much for sharing this conversation with us!
Thank you so much for joining us.
I didn’t realize , Judy Norton (Mary Ellen)!! She looks great also! I bet that was exciting interviewing, her TV mom!! Great interview!! ❤❤
So glad you enjoyed this.
Thank you for sharing this memorable interview with Michael [ Mama Walton ] it brings me great joy just listening to your dedication to your fans. 😊 ❤
So glad you enjoyed it.
Michael - We would love to read your book You stories , sound exciting. thanks Judy for having her on your show.
It was my pleasure to have her join me.
Judy you were great saying exactly what we fans think, Michael 's Presence grew bigger as each season was completed and after Ellen's stroke she was at her peak acting is much more than number of scenes and number of lines
So true. Glad you felt the same.
Hi, seeing Michael was grand. I love her whatever I see her in. She was a dream mom. I enjoyed hearing her, she seems quite enjoyable. Judy, you were so great in your role. I loved your attitude, much of the time. Love the show, I watch it every weekday all these moons later when it first began watching.
Thanks so much both of you.
Our pleasure. Thank you for joining us.
This was special. I loved how Michael was so humbled by your compliments. I know we were watching two excellent actors, but at times it was like watching the characters of Mary Ellen and Olivia. Very, very heartwarming interview.
Thanks for joining us. So great to spend time with her.
Yes, I look at it like Olivia and Mary Ellen just talking💜💖 Love them both.
Hello Judy 😊 Loved your time with Michael 😊😊😊😊
So happy to hear that.
Absolutely loved the two segments with you and Michael. Both of you are so lovely, sweet and talented!
Thank you so much.
Loved seeing you and Olivia together again. I am amazed at all the great memories and feelings that came flooding back in my mind and heart by just seeing her again. Her role in the Waltons reminds me that she was always the mother I wish i had as a child. Tremendous acting by her that hit at the heart. Thanks for sharing !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Absolutely! She created a mother I think we all wanted.
Have a good weekend
Judy and
Michael wow
Thank you.
Great interview. I still think it's a shame they didn't do a reunion show about the death of Ralph
Judy - your videos are always great, but your interview skills are wonderful. You are genuine, engaged and prepared… please, more of these conversations.
Thank you so much.
Loved the show - still watch it. Always wholesome, always uplifting. Sure could use more of "The Waltons" now. The cast is/was amazing. You two are wonderful actors. Thank you for all the years of entertainment. You are loved!
Thank you so much.

I was looking forward to Part 2 and I’m not disappointed. I really enjoyed it. You’re both amazing actors and a lot of fun to watch and hear you both speak about your lives. I recently watched the limited series “Dahmer” on Netflix. I admit it was strange at first to see Michael Learned as Dahmer’s grandmother because to so man,y of us she is also “Olivia Walton”. But wow, what a talented and diverse actor! I hope you have more interviews with the cast members of The Waltons. Blessings to you Judy.
Thank you. So glad you enjoyed our visit.
You are both a treasure. Love you both!
Thank you so much.
Back in 2020 I was very sick & had zero energy. All I really remember is laying on the couch & between snoozing watching The Waltons play over & over on the tv. It brought me calmness & easy listening to my stressed mind 💛
So touched to hear the show helped you through a difficult period in your life. Hope you are back enjoying life to the fullest once again.
So so love Michael Learned
She’s awesome!
I love you both, thanks for sharing this, she is so sweet when you are complimenting her😊
Thanks so much for joining us for our little visit.
What an innersting innerview with Judy and Michael Learning.I found it very helpful to me.
So glad.
Really enjoying the videos Judy. Learning more about the cast is just wonderful. Walton’s still bringing happiness to many today.
Amazing to us it has this amazing longevity.
Michael was in an episode of Gunsmoke, before the Waltons and I fell for her like a rock.
She has always been talented and beautiful
@@judynorton2598 I enjoy your videos and appreciate rekindling good memories from my childhood. It’s a real pleasure knowing I’m communicating with you and Mary Ellen😊.
It was wonderful to see this interview. As with millions of other people, I always wanted a mother just like Mrs. Walton. It was good to see her as herself. Thank you, Judy and Michael.
I think we all wanted Olivia as our mom.
Thanks for sharing ladies. You are both classy,Beautiful and very talented. Wish I could meet all of you. Best wishes ❤️
So kind of you to say.
Thank you Judy for sharing these lovely video's of yourself and Michael. I grew up watching the Waltons back in the day here in Sunderland, North East England and I'm currently watching a repeat of the series! It's still as magical now as it was then, pure joy and complete escapism. Oh, the beauty of nostalgia! ❤
Thank you so much.
Thank you. I needed to say that first because watching your channel has inspired me to watch The Walton's marathon and reminding me of great days not only for myself but for the time that many people shared. Just like a lot of people I must admit that there's things that I miss and I am grateful to see you doing well and it's great to see you and Michael spending time together once again.... It brings much joy to myself and I know many others...... Thank you so much.
Our pleasure. So happy to hear it has inspired you to watch the show again. It really is amazingly timeless. Enjoy!
This was such a wonderful visit with Michael Learned! Thank you for sharing this with us.

@@judynorton2598 you're very welcome Judy❤️
Once again I really enjoyed watching your interview with MIchael. She really should write a book about her life. Thank you Judy for bringing us this interview. It was great.
Thanks for joining us.
This format of having a guest and cooking while talking and then having a sit-down interview in part 2 is great! Love Michael and you of course. Great Interview!
Thank you. Glad you enjoyed it.
Loved her cooking!
Thank you for sharing part 2. I could feel the genuine love you have for one another. It was beautiful. I think that the younger generations could learn so much from a show like the Waltons. I know that I definitely did. ❤
So glad you enjoyed our visit.
My hubby and i watch on Hallmark every day, especially since he's dealing with his long illness. I spend my day loving my family with continually more offers of coffee, blankets, home baked cookies and Sunday dinners while my hubby is still with us. I never tire of being a tireless mom and wife. The Waltons are wonderful moment and a sweet expression of real family life and love.
Life is what you make of it.
Absolutely. You are clearly creating a beautiful meaningful life. I hope your hubby is better soon.
Brilliant and beautiful both of you! Thanks so much for sharing your stories and presence with us fans. Bless you and your loved ones always! Not a Thanksgiving, Christmas, or Easter goes by that I don't think of fondly a scene or special moment from The Walton's! Much love to you and Waltons everywhere! ❤
So glad. Thank you.
Not to take anything away from Patricia Neal, but there was, is, and always will be only ONE Olivia Walton, and that is Michael Learned. Thank you both!
She really was the perfect Olivia for the series.
Watching all the interview's of the Walton bunch, ya'll are all so sweet and awesome it's no wonder ya'll got along so well, you guys are great. I love the show and I'm still watching it 😊
Thanks so much
You guys are so sweet and wonderful! I am such a fan of the show. This was such a delight to come across 😊 What a great interview and just listening to the two of you was so enjoyable ❤
Glad you enjoyed it!
It was precious ❤
I always thought the mother on the Walton's and the mother on Little house were SO naturally beautiful and that still holds true today. Stunning!
Two great mother role models.
I was so happy to see both of you together. It certainly brought back some wonderful memories of The Waltons. I loved hearing about Ralph Waite. Thank you Judy.
Thank you for joining us.
I so enjoyed this chat and seeing the two of you together. What each of you brought to the Waltons obviously has stayed in the hearts of millions of viewers. I'm only sorry I have not seen either of you on stage. As a young feminist when the series began, I understood Michael Learned's frustration with the limitations of the "Mama" role, but, oh, what it added to the show and to our lives. Her strength and determination came through in ways that were anything but narrow in terms of female stereotypes. That made the character, as she played it, anything but boring and quite relevant for those times. I can say the same for how you played Mary Ellen, Judy. Thanks to you both for this.
I was thrilled to see Richard Thomas in To Kill A Mockingbird last March in Ft Lauderdale!!!! What a thrill, also!❤
I love that. Thank you so much.
I am so happy I saw this video and Judy's channel. Every Christmas season, we always watch The Homecoming. I saw that yesterday and this popped up today.
So glad you found my channel! Welcome. Enjoy!
That was so lovely Judy ! Loved hearing about Micheals early life. Thank you for sharing your visit with us.
So glad you enjoyed our visit.
How wonderful to watch! I absolutely loved The Waltons. The acting never seemed like acting. It all seemed so natural. I was a huge fan of Michael’s and of yours, as I was also a nurse, married to a doctor. How nice to see that you are such natural lovely people. I so enjoyed your interview!
Oh wow! I lived the “pretend life” while you lived the “real life” version :)
@@judynorton2598 just not on horseback. Lol
I enjoyed part 1 and part 2. ❤ I hope Michael writes her book. Her childhood sounded amazing.
I’d love to read that book :)
The reason the show worked in my eyes besides the great writing is the cast...if all of you kids fought and bickered and didn't like each other it would have stood out. The fact all of you kids and adults then and now got along and still do basicly consider yourselves family and the love is real came through on screen. It is simply something that was either there or it wasn't as i don't think you could fake real family love all of those years if it wasn't real.
I think that is a huge reason why The Waltons as well as a few other family shows did so well and still have legions of fans...and we all know those family lessons and values are so badly needed nowadays.
That kitchen is so beautiful...and it is always great seeing your videos Judy. I am the type that likes to know the back stories and I appreciate your content a lot🙂
So happy to hear that. Thank you.
I've enjoyed this two-part interview with Michael so much! Thank you, Judy, for doing this. I have to say, Michael piqued my interest when she talked about wanting to write a book. I've self-published five books in the last four years and have a couple more on the way. I know this is probably a real shot in the dark, and though I don't do this professionally, I would love to help Michael in writing a memoir if she just needs someone to type out her ideas. I know how much dedication goes into sitting down and actually writing a book, and I've helped others in the past with similar projects. Regardless, I hope her book becomes a reality someday. "The Waltons" is a big part of my childhood and was a great part of 2019 for me when I went back through the series. Lots of love! ❤
I hope she finds a way to get it done as I believe she has wonderful stories to share with us all.
I want to say Judy that in 2022 my family- Wife Daughter and Two wonderful children that we adopted in 2013 (but fostered since 2008). Took a trip to Florida for a wedding and made our way to Virginia and visited the Walton mountain. It was an amazing trip and my children learned a lot. Previous to our trip we watched The Walton from beginning to the last show with our children and they totally loved the history. I’ll never forget teaching my kids the history of the early years. Thanks to you all from the Waltons show.
Oh wow. That is so wonderful to hear. It means a lot to me to hear how your family has embraced the show.
An excellent interview with two wonderful actors! What a treat to reminisce with Michael! Thank-you so much! The Waltons always brings back so many fond memories of my childhood! My dad would say "Goodnight John boy" (his name being John) as he related to that pivotal time. Great family values for generations of viewers! 💜
Glad you enjoyed it!
I just so enjoyed this interview with Michael. I wonder if there is a single episode that she remembers to this day. Please express to her how much I loved her on the Waltons.
She has talked about specific episodes. The Anniversary is one of her favorites.
Judy and Michael are so genuine 💓.
Thank you so much.
I love the homecoming❤🐈🙂
🥰
Wonderful interview and one of the best tv series ever. Thank you for this heartwarming 2 part interview with Michael Learned. I’m 6 months older than you and grew up watching this wonderful show.
Thank. you so much!
You’re almoujmost welcome! 🤗🤗
Love these 2 and they both look wonderful! AND I STILL watch The Waltons reruns on metv EVERY single week day!!!! I'm 63 so watched it every week when growing up and the past few years have enjoyed watching all of the reruns. IF ONLY television could be like that again.
That is awesome!
Two amazing actors chatting. This is simply wonderful. And seeing Michael and Judy together is like comfort food to the soul.
So happy to hear that.
That was lovely…I felt like I was there. Thank you 💛
So glad. Thank you.
I didn't want part #2 to be over! I, was so engaged in Judy's questions, and M.L....answers!!! Great segment ❤
Glad you wanted it to continue.
Dear Judy, You are exceptionally attentive and dedicated. I was wowed by the volume of comments which you answered with fairness and sincerity. ❤ This get-together with Michael Learned was so highly anticipated and we thank you (both) for the privilege. I'm echoing everyone's sentiments here. and adding some: Michael Learned mentioned that she might write a biography. She understands that most people want to hear about Olivia/The Waltons, but it seems that Michael wants to talk about other significant aspects of her phenomenal life. That would make a fascinating read because she is undeniably a fascinating person; genuine, engaging, and gets straight to the point! This is one big reason why any role she assumes is so captivating- Winning the hearts of and grabs the attention of the audience. Thank you for sharing your friendship with us. 🧡💛
It was a pleasure to share this side of Michael with all of you.
Never thought I would ever hear "Momma" swear. LOL. Also loved Michael in her show Nurse. Loved when Maryellen became a nurse. And, I became a nurse.
🥰
