Enjoyed your video! I am also a 1st Responder, Paramedic and Industrial Firefighter, Cigar Aficionado, Whiskey Man, I follow Dat Louisiana Life, great folks and videos
Thank you for your service as a first responder and the wonderful work you do remember you're on the job you do your job when you leave the job leave the work at the job and if you need to talk about things that you witnessed in your career and don't be afraid to ask for help
Rabbits, squirrels and all small mammals are subject to wolfes being in them till the cold hits. They leave the animal to borrow in the ground and survive the cold. As long as the animal dont have a litlle bold spot knotted up with a small hole in the center youre fine. Generally youll find the spot on the neck or front shoulder area but ive seen them all over squirrels and rabbits.
Hi just found your channel a couple days ago. Seen you get stranded at Dat Louisiana Life. Glad you made it back. New subscriber! Very intertwining live your personality. My husband said you’re a comedian. Do you ever eat turtle? I’m in Tennessee my brother use to go catch turtles all the time and fry’em up. Purdue good. I’d like to see a turtle catching video. Great job I’ve not looked at the merch, but you need a shirt with ( Nuttin ) on it! You say it a lot lol
Do you ever catch Turtle? Good eating! I live in Tennessee and my brother use to catch them all the time. Never seen you all catch turtle but you eat swamp rats, lol
Love your videos. Me and my wife are fixing to plan a trip to come down there and bring our boat to do some fishing we live in Leeds Alabama would love to meet you maybe you can point us in the right direction to catch some fish we going to have to buy a temporary 3 day fishing license but I've always wanted to go fishing in the area I've fished a few times down in mobile Alabama but maybe we might run into you while we are down there we would also love to meet Keith Tara and Drake while we down there we love their videos also I just subscribed to your channel a few days ago and you have some awesome content I've been wanting to start my own channel but things in life have threw me a curve ball here lately like my truck transmission went out I had to buy one and put it in myself because they want way to much money for a macanic to do it but I'm a maintenance man anyway I can pretty much do it all myself but you have a wonderful day
I'm new to your channel (recommended by Outside the Levees) so, pls, pardon my question. Do you live in a heavily populated area? I noticed all the houses in your video. That's why I ask. 😊
They are what we call wolfes it's a type of parasite "worm" that leaves the host during cold months. It borrows into the ground in the cold weather but uses small mammals as hosts during warm months. It lays eggs just under the skin to hatch. They are nasty and they mess up the meat.
@@PelicanBoneOutdoors the worms like someone else said are a type of larva. And yes they come from many in the south call wolf's they are a parasite on the animal using the animal as a host is all. They are just under the skin like I mentioned but leave a bacteria in the blood stream that is in the meat as well. It generally will make ya sick at your stomach but can be worse if ate lol. They get pretty bad here too before the frost. 2 out of 3 squirrels generally have them and sometimes same with rabbits. All small mammals can have them though even coyote get them. I've actually cut them out of animals I've killed lol. It's nasty looking 🤢.
Your stripped shirt makes you look like a big barred rock. The little rabbits look like cottontails and the bigger one should be a swamp rabbit. The "worms" in the rabbits are bot fly larvae and they are under the skin. They look like a giant maggot about 2' long. Gives me the cooties!
Since “Magnalite” brand is no more we’ve went to the Imusa brand for new stuff. My rabbits come from right up the street from you and they taste the same in the Imusa pot vs the Magnalites 🤌🏻😅

Wasp breath through their skin. An alternative to wasp spray is water with a litte bit of soap and oil. Put it in a pump sprayer and coat the wasp.

If that’s them Red Wasps you did the right thing because they would have chased you all the way to your house. While stinging you repeatedly
Do you ever catch Turtle? Good eating! I live in Tennessee and my brother use to catch them all the time.
Never seen you all catch turtle but you eat swamp rats, lol
Thats something I've never done but I plan on giving it a try.
@@PelicanBoneOutdoors oh you’ll love it!
You should set a live trap or two back there and just catch the rabbits
It's not legal to harvest rabbits with traps in Louisiana

welcome to the channel. It's not very populated. Houses along the road but nothing but swamp and marsh pass that.
Vinnie, what is up with that hairstyle?😊
mid life crisis 😉
That wascally wabbit.
Want a rabbit bad to sit in chicken kaki
Worms?....then why worm your dog if a frost will cure it? ....old wives tale.

Different worms I think.

Honey bee's are disappearing don't do that
I wouldn't have done that to honey bees. Did you know there are no native honey bee species to America?

I definitely didn't see any of those.
The snowy bush is called "salt bush".
