Hey Brother, I recently have/had the same issue & went through the same process of elimination before watching your video. I had purchased an 08 OBXT 5MT Limited last year and have been ferreting out all the shady work the previous owner/dealer had done. Ended up replacing both the clock spring and the sensor today at tune of 600 bucks. Even bought a new $1200 scan tool to sort out and reprogram a few things. I laughed my butt off seeing someone else go through the same thing. Hope you got it sorted out now & back to driving & tuning, enjoy..
For anyone still having trouble with this, what u found out is that when the steering angle sensor fault code appears, u cant clear the code and u also cant get a steering angle reading, but u may still have a workibg angle sensor. Solution is to get a scan tool that can do the steering angle sensor calibration. Wheels straight, select the function, it does irs thing, then will u get a SAS reading from the data stream and all will be good
You see those circle cylinders on the circuit board? Those are capacitors. They can be checked very easily with a multimeter. The ohm reading should read the value that is printed on the casing
I tried to bypass the system and get it to work but I just ended up buying a used one off eBay. The first one I got was a dud but I specifically paid more for a warranty just in case and they sent out a second one that worked out great
@@ModdingAddiction okay i managed to fix it,well actually my friend did it. Now here is the thing. Steering angle sensor they never die unless it is physically crushed. The problem is once you over steer, there are two round circles(the big one and small white one )inside the angle sensor sorry my English aint that good...since the small one acts like the sensor and is being rotated by the bigger one when you're turning the wheel, its easy for it to lose the alignment needed for it to sense...now the thing is,there's a small chip around it needed to be physically removed and is the one that holds the permanent error code in which was supposed to be cleared out by the diagnosis machine but for some reason it doesn't. So in that case its being done manually, remove the chip then connect it to the PC, program it with subaru software n shit and boom its done. Put it back the right way and start the car and its done. We did it around 2 hours
@@kennymony1691 I’m sorry but what do you mean by connect the chip to the pc and program it with the Subaru software? I’m having the exact same problem and am just trying to research as much as possible before diving into trying to fix it. Is it harmful to the vehicle with the dccd flashing ?

A working angle sensor as in? His kept on showing a 0 output so it can be assumed that the sensor itself is not working

Hi. I have a problem locating the G sensor for Subaru Legacy 2010 br9. Any assistance is appre appreciated.
Most of G sensors are located between the driver and passenger seats.

@@kennymony1691 what’s the Subaru software? Is it available to everyone?
@@incognizance3184 A month has passed, hope you were able to fix it or atleast buy a new one, and yes it affects the DCCD.
Hey just curious have you recently installed an ACCESSPORT? Then had these issues with the dash warning lights?
Good work
