    How did the gardening go? How do you garden with a septic system?

    Inlet pipe to the field should be centered to all the leach branches.

      So that “feeder” line he was talking about should make it look more like a pitchfork than the letter “E” with a line off the top?”

    The same method is used for finding Lay Lines.

    Is there any science behind this method and will it work for gas lines?

    • @JoeSimple
      @JoeSimple  4 роки тому +3

      The science is verry controversial. "Scientists" say its subconscious involuntary mussels movements.
      "Tinfoil hat wearing folks" say electromagnetic fields. To be honest I could not tell you witch is right, It seems to work for me. Yes it does work for gas lines.

      Ken Anspach I have used this method for locating gas lines. It does work but I wouldn’t recommend making a habit out of it.

    Dowsing rods have never helped me find anything. Depends entirely on my subtle hand movements.

    For the leech lines can you build on top of those? We are wanting to put trees on our property but worried about Roots and other trouble.
    Also is it normal for the leech fields to be damp? Our grass is never really completely dry unless it is 90’ above

    • @JoeSimple
      @JoeSimple  3 роки тому +3

      I would not build any permanent structures on the leech field. Nor plant any trees on or near the field.
      The dampness is really hard to say depends on your system, use, soil, your local septic guy would have the best info.

      @@JoeSimple I had the septic tank cleaned out since the previous owners had it cleaned out in 2016. The septic guy just told me not to flush certain items down the drain and watch for bubbling. He also mentioned that rain can cause the septic tank to fill up.
      My house, just purchased in August doesn’t have rain gutters and when it rains it stands still beside the septic tank. It does clear but it takes like 3-4 days. Also there is a hole where the septic tank is.
      The septic guy said I just need to add sand on top of the hole.
      This house is 30 years old and the septic tank is 1,100 gallon from what the septic guy said

    I'm gonna try it out today, but no water has run through then for 4 years. I have used this method for years finding wires/conduit and galvanized pipes, but never tried non metal lines. Hope it works. I usually use metal coat hangers.

    • @cyrusjulian187
      @cyrusjulian187 2 роки тому +1

      How’d it go? Also are coat hangers copper? (Sorry I’m a noob to all of this) Thanks in advance

    • @ibberman
      @ibberman 2 роки тому

      @@cyrusjulian187 It went great until I started digging. I had clearly strong signals/pulling on the coat hangers but it must have been the trees or roots that pulled, very large oak trees. Eventually digging around for hours, I finally found the distribution box, then it was easy from there. If the leach lines had water in them it might have worked, they were the Orangeburg asphalt type, dry as a bone. Anyway, no the coat hangers are not copper, just regular cheap metal, the kind you get from the dry cleaner. 👍👍

      rods react to magnetic changes in earth as caused by digging or cutting a trench. Have a good freind whos in the business and uses it to double check what he finds with expensive electronic detectors.

      @@jopo6388 Copper rods that react to magnetic changes? It boggles the mind that anyone would believe in such easily debunked fairy tails. You have given nobody any reason to believe in your anecdote.

      same technology behind a Ouija board

    • @ItsMissLalaToYou7
      @ItsMissLalaToYou7 2 роки тому +2

      @Amanda Wilson…It’s the subconscious mind communicating through a device, using ideomotor movements or unconscious motor movements. You can use a pendulum in the same way, and as one commenter mentioned, a ouija board. Major corporations hire professional dowsers to locate water, oil, etc. Dowsers have also been hired to locate missing pets and people. To learn more, check out American Society of Dowsers and The British Society of Dowsers. The people who dismiss this practice as hocus pocus are usually the ignorant. They know nothing about the subject matter, but are always the most vocal. Do your own research and ignore their blather. It’s amazing how much your subconscious mind is aware of at all times.
