While yes, this would be true, we must include Jason Camisa. But I am not complaining have you seen the new series? They are hilarious, I think just as good if not better!
VW/Audi of America product planners really are clueless, aren't they? They don't understand that the peformance wagon has more appeal to the younger enthusiast who needs practicality but wants performance; they prefer more compact cars to larger ones and can only spend so much. Instead, Audi sends us the 6-figure, giant RS6 Avant, and while I don't want to be unappreciative, it's far from the first RS wagon they should've sent us...
A mate of mine bought himself one of these recently. It was a reward for winning a world championship last year. I had a good look at it last wednesday and yes it is lovely and he rates it very highly. Drinks the juice, the car not my mate, but is beautiful.
And Audi manages to make this V6 sound very nice, which is not the most common thing for engines these days. Not Giulia Quadrifoglio-nice, but nice indeed. Much nicer than the current M3's (and M2 Competition's) engine, that's for sure. Hope they'll also make the new M3/M4 sound like the Z4 M40i / Supra, then we'll have them back in the game sound-wise as well.
atascatorDAOC those “farts” from that “shitwagon” is fuel being injected between shifts to keep the exhaust flowing and in turn, the turbo spooled maintaining boost. It’s an anti-lag trick. At least choose decent sounding cars to compare to, like a GT3 or v12 Ferrari jfc..
It interests me when it stops messing all around numbers. Manual transmission just take you to the act. That's all you need when you want to enjoy the car. Yes, automatic are also cool, but there should be every single time an option to choose.
acustic feedback still means you have to look to find the right button, just that you then get feedback that you've pressed it. This means eyes off the road and thus less safe than the previous system in my opinion. I think it's better if you can haptically find buttons without looking... Otherwise, no one complained about the first RS4's V6 because it was a cylinder upgrade. When they got back from a V8 to a V6 people complained because it was a cylinder downgrade. Yes it might be faster, but so is the 4cyl Boxter/Caymen, and people still don't buy them as much as they did with the slower 6cyl ones. Because sound, emotions...(above a certain level speed is not everything)
5:00-5:16 "the first Audi rs4 was a 2.7 L bi-turbo and no none complained...etc" hmmmmmm what about the timing change belt? what about the engines use of oil?? I've heard both of these problems are common for the b5 gen and are expensive to repair. just saying, bc if I'm wrong I want to buy the Audi b5 2.7L V6 bi-turbo, s4 or rs4 if possible. Not hatting, more like confused.
Nice review, love the car, but it won’t sell in North America. Sadly, for reasons I don’t understand, people here love SUV’s and Crossovers. I’m still one of the few who likes sedans. Anybody know how RS6 sales are going here?
How to decipher what he said. "Back in the naughtys (90s) when football players (soccer players) had bullocks (balls) and weren't rubbish (trash) and praised the queen" (their all powerful ruler).
I love this car, and would buy one if they sold it in the states. Not as interested in the RS6, as it's bigger and more expensive neither of those things appeals to me. Maybe they will bring it here when they launch the redesign? We can but hope.
@@carexpert9333 What is so difficult to make sense of? Take a look at the 2020 b9 facelift S4 and RS4 and compare their fronts. Then take a look at the pre-facelift b9 RS4. You will notice that the facelifted RS4 looks exactly like the facelifted S4, while the pre-facelift RS4 looks way more agressive. They've butchered the RS5 as well where the pre-face RS5 was a stunner, until they made it look like an S5 with the facelift.
@Ronaldello97 I think you have never seen a RS car (especially RS4) in real life. The facelift has a flatter and wider grill which makes the car look more aggressive and wider. The car has these new triangular air intakes which are much bigger and look sportier than the standard a4/s4 ones.
@@carexpert9333 I haven't yet. Yesterday I saw the M8 Coupé in real life. It was stunning compared to photos. So I can only imagine how beautiful the Gran Coupé will be.
Golf GTI mark 1/ B5 RS4/ BMW 1M seems when the engineers do something for themselves the cars turn out better than when the company makes it with all its backing!
It’s actually horrible to drive. Yes, it looks good, but I don’t get the fuss about the RS4 B5. I am saying this as an owner of one for 15 years and having done 100,000km in it.
BRING IT TO THE STATES AUDI!!!!
Alex, Henry and Chris = what top gear should be
While yes, this would be true, we must include Jason Camisa.
But I am not complaining have you seen the new series? They are hilarious, I think just as good if not better!
Totally agree👍👍
cromulentparty Alex from car throttle instead of Henry I'd say
Who's Alex?
cromulentparty then you don’t understand what topgear the tv show is meant to be.
AUDI FOR GOODNESS SAKE, BRING THIS TO THE STATES AND CANADA.
He paddle shifted so hard that he sprained his fingers.
came here for “we should get it in the US” comments, not disappointed
Great to see you back Alex. You’re a necessary man in that presenter team imo
I am at awe with the filming and edit I appreciate it !
As you arrived at awe, you might as well go in.
Love the green on this👌🏻 amazing car but it’s a shame about the touch screen - looks a bit of an afterthought
P B worse in person. Very tacky and cheap looking and feeling
Awful to use while driving as well.
This is me, watching this beauty and crying in America 😭😭😭😭😭
I can’t afford a RS6 avant, I could afford this, no coming to North America :(
SAME! AUDI LISTEN TO US. We want the RS avants, but under 6 figures please
MMmmmmmmmmaaaaybe it comes to Canada and you get it from up here? I'm certainly hoping that we get the RS4!
@@3Quils72 Not possible, unfortunately.

man you can get a 94 Ferrari F355 for about 40K
Good to see Alex back💖
Carfection is helping me survive the lockdown! :D
I wish Audi used the 2.5 in-line 5 instead of a V6.
That engine is timeless
Bringing back the longitudinal inline 5 would be epic.
But everyone hated it in the golf, I've always liked it whether NA or boosted.
Let's be honest, not one audi rs4 has done 4.1 to 62mph. It's more like 3.7/3.8.
Audi understated the power of these by quite a lot!
They don’t want it to be faster than the RS6
@@agrayman7346 and they're not
[Alex being back + RS4] * (to the power of self-isolation) = Carfection Perfection
Brilliant as always Alex....

You are the best who speaks about cars.
The sweet spot of the RS range. Class. 👌
I wonder if this makes the previous RS4 more of a better bargain option. 🤔

You mean those weirdo farts when upshifting is a very nice sound? OMFG dude. Try hearing an F40 or an LFA and then hear this farty shitwagon again

I Love it too..this is a RS we need in the USA..👍👍👍👍👍

Audi RS4 😍
I can’t wait for ABT to get their hands on the RS4 and RS6 as the performance will be absolutely blistering 👍
Is this car ever coming to canada?
Maybe in 15 years.
The best of the flock. Gorgeous.
real green beast 👍👍👍
It's perfect size with grat techbology as always in Audi. Fast and souds great!
Close to perfection.
LOVE the lesther jacket!!! What model is it and where could I possibly order one??
kpudgar looks like a belstaff outlaw

4:12 - 4:13 that snores like the middle aged man that is going to buy it
Why are his fingers always broken
Faiz Jalal You don’t talk about Fight Club
Underwear fart cultivation fighter?..
Faiz Jalal the fingering
I had assumed that driving an Audi meant having to give the middle finger to people all the time and eventually it just breaks.
Maybe he is giving his girlfriend to much pleasure... ( ͡° ͜ʖ ͡°)
Awesome review and car gj
I enjoy the small size of the TTRS, tuned of course

Alex, back to Carrfection?
4:07 what's up with that exhaust sound when it changes gear?!
DSG farts
Guerrin Love Its not a DSG its a torque converter gearbox
Are you still there or did you find flights to UK ?
Yes the best RS, My favorite RS i think
How much power does this car make? Did he mention it?
The Best RS4 Since It launched
Wow 04:04 to 04:15 lovely sound
Alex!
Off topic, nice jacket, is it a Belstaff?
Any chance the US will get this???
What’s that thing wrapped around his fingers
Nice Corona Green car!
The Audi platform! Carfection!
4:07 those gear changes are actually horrid, what was Audi thinking?
Good to see Alex
I personally definitely would prefer an RS4 to the RS6. Just think it has better proportions. Although the RS6 interior is much nicer.
Hope the hand is doing well!
How did you break them fingers?
Nice review..what happened to yr left fingers Bro? Cheers from Msia

Like all Audinvehicles, fast in a straight line and very safe. You are just along for the ride as the computers work
I wish you hadn't previewed the car.....Harry would actually give insights
I don't like the new front headlights. They're less aggressive imo. I do like the rear LED lights.
@Carfection first RS4 engine is not made by Audi. So it's not in house, no?
This is a re-upload?
Fantastic, per usual.
How to decipher what he said. "Back in the naughtys (90s) when football players (soccer players) had bullocks (balls) and weren't rubbish (trash) and praised the queen" (their all powerful ruler).
2:40 I thought he was wearing a skull cap.
I hope there’s a video to go with the shots of all the RS Avant models at the race track like the BMW M3 vid. :)
Those entertainment screens are going to look so ridiculous in a few years
It's a shame that the M3 is not available as a hatchback. That green looks good on this thing.

That's the worst sounding thing I've heard since the F80 m3!
Theyre all 2 quiet though. They need to sound more like the amgs

Being faster then the speed of light means I’m the 9th comment and not the 69th :(
That screen is horrendous
Nice "S4 looking RS4". The facelifted RS4 looks more like a regular S4, while the pre-facelift looks like a true RS car. Weird decision.
Exactly my thoughts! It misses this aggressive lower bumper from the pre facelift
Doesn‘t make any sense

RS3 is the RS car now
The previous RS3 had the engine and transmission, but not the dynamics. Let's hope they nail the new one.
