My experience with 3 helmets close to these (Shoei RF1400, Scorpion EXO-1400 Carbon, HJC RPHA 70ST). No official measurements used, just how the helmets feel to me. Love the weight of the Scorpion EXO1400 Carbon and it's comfortable. It's my current go-to daily helmet. Ventilation is terrible, can't even feel a difference when opening the vents, the vent switches feel cheap/lose, and the helmet whistles as air passes over/through the top vent. Shoei RF1400 is my main backup helmet, build quality is noticeably better than the scorpion. Ventilation is night and day better than the scorpion (some of that attributed to the lack of internal sun visor, so it has a brow vent). It's not my main because I prefer the weight of the Scorpion, the scorpion cheek pads feel better on my face, and the Shoei is much more painful on my ears to put on and remove. The RPHA70ST is kind of the middle ground between the Shoei and Scorpion. Build quality better than the scorpion, but a hair short of the Shoei. Feels lighter than the Shoei, but not lighter than the Scorpion. Interior is nice, as are the other 2. Ventilation isn't as good as the Shoei, again, probably because it has a drop down visor, but is far better than the Scorpion. It would probably be my main helmet IF it matched my current bike but it's red (to match my CBR) and I'm now riding an H2SX which is green.
Good review , I love my Neotec2 but not sure if I will upgrade to a 3 , might try the scorpion price/Value look good , I do have integrated commu. on the shoei , but that is a feature that I don't like would like to chose my own communication device. I also have a Sena S3 and a Cardo Spirit ... mostly for music while I ride.
I use Scorpion EXO-1400 and compared to my other no-name helmet its super loud. If you have a specific head shape its one of the best value-for-money helmets, but otherwise don't buy it. It will drive you crazy.
"Integrated intercom" feature disqualifies a helmet automatically for me. I have my Cardo EDGE intercom with JBL speakers and I don't need their dedicated/integrated garbage with x3 price.
Great reviews, but I see that the NOLAN is not mentioned. I believe that if Nolan is safe enough to be worn in the Isle Of Man 🇮🇲 TT Races, it should get some recognition in my opinion.

cant afford any of these helmets, but appreciate the information and time taken
I'm surprised EU doesn't legislate to force them to be compatable with all headsets.
I've toured 400 miles in an MT Thunder 3 for £50.
5 star SHARP UK government testing.

Thanks 💪 This top 5 was purely selected based on our sales data, but we do have reviews out for the Nolan X-804 RS U.C Carbon / N100-6!
