I.m glad there are others out there who appreciate the sheer ridiculous power of Doomsday.
Doomsday is relentless. The whole Gog Wars Doomsday shows you just how relentless he was in fighting for 100 years without stopping.
But what people fail to recognize with Doomsday is, in the example you used with killing him with a sun shattering blow, the problem is that you did kill him!!! As difficult as it was, in killing him, one only dooms themselves, because what are you gonna do with a newly resurrected Doomsday?!! A Doomsday who is now immune to that sun shattering blow? Once he is resurrected, he becomes even more unstoppable And even more difficult to kill again.

It's been confirmed that crisis energy is the highest form of energy in the multiverse and that superman can absorb it. We got confirmation from other kryptonians that they can absorb magical energies, hellfire un Blaze dimension, fire pits of apokolips, electricity and lightning have been absorbed by supes as well. It's confirmed that supes can absorb red, yellow, blue suns and that super suns exist in DC as well as a quasar and a pulsar.
We know a?sun can amp him to multiversal or higher in power and that the heat and light in the middle of a quasar emits more heat and energy than 400 billion stars.
So do you think DC still hasn't shown us supermans full potential in theory?

@@IvaNTheUnStoppable not necessarily, in two modern books he's still vulnerable to magic but can also use magical energy to his advantage. For example against Faust, he absorbed magic energy which gave him new abilities stated by batman using the wrong type of energy would give unknown results. You might end up amping superman or giving him a extra new powerset entirely.
In worlds finest I think issue #220 superman states that kryptonian physiology allows his body to absorb magic from the earth like a sponge which is what he does to negate the magic in the book.
Then it might also explain how supermans acquired some brand new random powersets in some books. Absorbing energy is the focus though, as he's also able to absorb the energy of those who are empowered by power sources. Superman is showing amping himself up in battle by robbing solar energy from solar powered beings. Cosmic Starman amped, superman absorbed some of his energy and had to stop moving since he felt like earth would split in half in one step. Then we have hel-el confirming superman holds himself back by not amping with something beyond stars. It is stayed hel-el dipped in a quasar to become so godlike. Superman is alot more op than we think with this nergy absorbing power. Heck in dark crisis he just willed the crisis energy in his body from a world made of crisis energy 😂😂

Doomsday can't be killed by blunt force anymore. That's why a powered up superman couldn't beat him the same way. The only reason all those kryptonians could kill him was because it was blunt force from multiple sources, which he is now immune to. If he came back from planetary destruction then that same type of destruction will not be able to kill him. Doomsday can not be killed by hitting him harder than he ever felt, Superman would of been able to kill him the same way a second time if that were true.

@@Auron1Roxas2 I did, rewatch what happened. A weakened jon kent did no damage to doomsday. Before doomsday delivered the final blow, a base form superman saves jon kent and in one punch they defeat him.
So either 50% of jon kent and 50% of superman beat doomsday or a single 100% punch from both defeated the unstoppable doomsday. That's still one punch from each kryptonian. Mind you a entire horde of kryptonians is what it took to defeat doomsday physically before.
Dark crisis #6 just reread it and Superman was red and blue in base. The crisis form energy was wasted for the entire team to return to prime earth. Try again kiddo and best of luck 🥱.
