Anyone else absolutely love the drum roll going into the second verse at about 2:51? It's the subtle things that make this song incredible! The more I listen to the new album, the more I fall in love with it and can't decide my favorite song.

I began Synthwave with Gunship and Tech Noir and the beautiful clip from Lee Hardcastle. It was in 2015 or 2016.
Since this moment, i bought all the cds, and the 16 bit box set from Dark All Day and...Unicorn 🙂The walkman with cassette is great ;-)

Ah yes gunship, magic sword, the midnight, september 87, the ost to fright night, so much more music. It really gives me the flow to keep going. This music really butters my bread.

@@garrettg4873 hell yeah! Also goblin from the 1970s has some great soundtracks. Try the one from the film phenomena, it has a great Halloween feel.
I love the story of the Tech Noir songs at this point. We go from nearly hopeless and struggling to make it, to we have survived it all, and were on the up tick, life will get better, and we can keep going. The Post Apocalypse is done, and we're on the cusp of a healed Ruined Earth.
To me the song marks the end of this terrible administration and shows us we can survive this and the better days are on the horizon. Trump 2024 is going to look like the ending to “Ready Player One” we are all coming running over the hills together against this oppressive tyrannical government.

This one’s initially a banger, but it actually grows even more catchy with repeated listens.
It’s inevitable to compare it with the first instalment of the Tech Noir saga, but I suspect this will be the ‘middle part’ to a trilogy of destruction and rebirth.

Let's be for real. Timmy Capello is straight up part of the group. This sounded good, but the first Tech Noir just has a certain hit that anyone from the 80s or 90s and or anyone really who takes a liking to the 80s synthwave music scene can probably attest to that track.
Gunship is amazing, and you could not distinguish them being a modern day band in a blind test of music and bands that came from that came from that era.

Tech Noir 1 is more intensive and emotional. The beginning with the text and voice by John Carpenter by Tech Noir 1 has more dramatic and is much more powerful. Techn Noir 2 is the dance version :)

I listened to most of the songs on Gunship's new album. It seems Gunship is heading away from Synthwave genre, this song is the exception though. Just something about their new album that had a different vibe compared to their previous 2 albums.
Idk. There at least 8 songs that are still synthwave at its core. Tracks 1,2,4,5,7,8,10 all synth for sure
