Great Video, love that there is a YTber covering the rabbit hole of showdown OMs! I think the recent ban of Red Orb in mix and mega is an interesting topic that you could maybe cover in a future video?
STABmons is my _shit_ bc of the wacky stuff possible - Specs Crawdaunt Water Spout is probably my favorite random thing that I've run. Is it good? No. Is it funny? Yes
@@EvelynIsBased it is my favourite thing to use against cocky setup sweepers such as ogerpon after an SD, surging strikes would not KO from full health if I used beak blast, but Ogerpon would go bye bye
I've wanted to dive into the Unofficial and Petmod/Alt Client Metagames for a bit now, but these videos tend to take me some time and I struggle knowing when I wanna dive the time to learn and get into a tier such as that, but if people would wanna see that I'd love to make videos about Metagames like that :)
@@EvelynIsBasedsounds pretty good. Would you be down to look at a meta with around 1000 members? I help run it, and we’re super close to passing towards becoming a smogon OM, I think we would really like your input
I don't know about in National Dex STABmons (though I'd assume it would). But in generation 9 it can't as Zygarde, the only learner of the move, is not present in SV, so Thousand Arrows isn't either. Similar to this, Pursuit isn't available despite how nice it'd be for some mons, but I'm thankful cause I don't wanna play against Pursuit Kingambit.
Maybe interesting for you: even in previous gens where TA *was* available, Lando would usually run Precipice Blades on offensive sets, or just regular earthquake on more defensive sets, as the hitting flying types wasn't actually very useful when you could give Lando things like Dragon Ascent, hitting the flying types/levitate/air balloon users neutrally with stab that hits harder than TA. While yes, TA would let it hit steel/electric types with air balloon or skarm/corv super effectively, that actually wasn't necessary at all as those very same pokemon usually weren't keen on switching into Lando, the steel types because they were too passive to really threaten lando (in the case of skarm or corv who get defogged and pivoted on, potentially into zone or some other abuser of them) or just straight up feared the ohko from EQ/PB, or in the case of air balloon steels/electrics, feared their balloons being popped by uturns. You can also threaten skarm/corv with EQ/PB already on setup sets because eventually, if you SD on the switchin, the flying move will force them into roost range and they get smoked by the ground move regardless. In summary, the lower power of TA just wasn't worth the benefit of hitting levitate users/flying types, when Lando given flying stab could do that already, and the two flyings it didn't hit neutrally doesn't even have great matchups into a Lando that gets shore up to mitigate their potential helmet chip, and just defogs on them, pivots into an abuser of them, or rocks on them for days.
Landorus-I is banned yes, STABmons is an OU based tier, so starts with most OU bans unless a banned Pokemon is suspect tested and proved to be healthy for the tier
Landorus-T is good, come back next week for more shocking facts folks
(Thank you for watching)
never knew i needed a freezai/jimothy cool equivalent for other metas until now thank you evelyn for the content
Thank you a lot I'm glad you enjoyed :)
Another Evelyn banger once again, STABmons is such an interesting format I'm really glad somebody is talking about it
Thank you so much I'm glad you enjoyed, STABmons is a very interesting tier I love covering it, glad others enjoy hearing me talk about it :)
Landorus therian is one of the most iconic competitive Pokémon, ever.
Unbelievably true
Having notorious history throughout smogon singles for being a powerful intimidate user since his introduction back in generation 5
Landorus-T is simply put an incredible pokémon and within other metagames this still stands true.
oh we're doing this?
wrong channel...

I forgot to reply to this comment about the fact I was actually making this video, but I just uploaded my video on it if you'd like to watch :)

Your single handedly making me check out all these cool other metas
I'm glad! Hopefully you enjoy them, if you'd like to join, the Other Metagame Discord server link is in the description :)
Subbing before this channel blows up
Thank you very much :)
1:47 doesnt shore up only heal 2/3 max health in sandstorm?
It does, apologies I have that down in my script but must've misread it when doing the voice over
when "give lando-t shore up" isn't a joke:
Thankyou Evelyn. Very cool!
I love Lando-T!!! Everyone please use more Lando-T on your teams!!!

nice guide i subbed :)
Thank you I'm glad you enjoyed :)
love the vid! if only beak blast had wide distribution :(
rocky helmet beak blast is great vs all the population bombs, surging strikes, flip turns, u-turns etc
Very true, I've only used Rocky Helmet on a few teams but it is a very effective choice to cover the insane amount of pivoting present in the tier.

Do you focus on only Smogon's Other metagames, or do you also do playermade metagames?

your videos are nice but why do you use low resolution graphics? (like 2:14)
I wonder what Lando would be like if thousand arrows was reintroduced. then it could very take on corv + air balloon pokemon way better
Not much would happen imo. The council will likely just ban the move
Does it not use Thousand Arrows at all?

Hello :)
Is Landorus-I banned? I’d have expected Sheer Force sets to have more value
