This has really got me hyped for when they finally arrive in the UK! Hopefully it’ll be a little quieter on regular all-season tyres, but otherwise it looks very promising. Thanks Chris!
Autogeful has been number one when it comes to camera placement, but you have now taken it one step further, you are now number one! Congratulations! 👏🏆
Would be simple to program noise cancelling of an electric motor whine... As the loudness and tone will be predictable. The wind noise should be removed by A pillar insulation and acoustic glass on driver and door windows. Don't like the styling inside... But looks good outside!
Great video - look likes you enjoyed it. Hopefully Smart will finally get around to letting their UK Customers know when they can pre-order them shortly - although trying to get information from them is like pulling teeth.
Thank you for the review Chris, how do you think I pay €51100 for an ID.3 or €48150 for the #1 Brabus? Getting all wheel drive but sacrifice a little bit comfort or get a more comfortable car loosing all wheel drive, which point is worth more? 😊
As the owner of Smart Bravos. Brabus has no problem with driving comfort compared to other European cars. It is very comfortable and refined and also quiet.
You're wrong about the button "Charging Temperature Maintenance", this is exactly for heating up the battery before reaching a charger. And it already works, others already tried it.
Just had a small race with the one of these on a double lane that merges to single onto the autobahn, I put my Born in Cupra mode, and got in front just, but now checking the stats of the Smart, it would seem they weren’t even trying!
Good comment about driving modes, on my Kia Soul when you change them while in motion its either as if someone slammed the brakes on or the opposite, the engine got more powerful, as you say its just that the acceleration at that point is different for the different modes. Would prefer it as on the Smart though TBF I rarely change it. Low setting normally, set to 0 on motorways since theres no point braking when you ease off on motorway, and thats as much as i change it. Some other reviews (not yours) of EVs give the impression to EV newbies that its essential to be playing with regen mode all the time. I like a lot about this car but the range is very dissapointing and pity about the noise?
01:43 i like the double Chris feature ;) too bad its so loud and the performace is not quite up to spec and way too SoC dependent. Also no Assist in Brabus Mode? Thats what is nice in a M3 no mode just as fast as possible without compromise. There should be no need for driving modes in modern EVs...
By the way, did you test the Beats speakers on #1? It has 13 speakers and seems awesome. Compare to ID.3, the facelift has only 4 speakers even on the top model of 56650 €.

There was a review of the brabus on 13 Jan by einfach elektrisch and at just after 24 minutes he used a sound meter and said the road noise was average, and in same range as kia Niro and id3 so it could well be the tyres.
@@kerrychanning3380 A sound meter need not be representative of how we experience noise in the cabin. Particular frequencies with less attenuation could cause the discomfort.

Hi Chris thanks for your videos...just a quick questions...in general witch better between Tesla Y long range and ID3 tour 77 Kwh....?
It all depends what is important to you and what you like. Go test them both.
Imagine not test driving when handing over 50000 in any currency. Strange times.

More power or more comfortable and quiet
ID 3 literally has camping chair seats

The description of the button when you press help beside says otherwise.

Are you gonna do range test with this Brabus ? I am really interested in. Thanks so much !!
Sadly not until I get a press car

Yes, sounds good, not extraordinary.
When you are driving, you can use your voice to adjust the driving mode, as well as the air conditioner, etc.
Are you ordering and when is the date you can order?

So green grass!
Do you have spring out there?
No snow since Christmas.
so that will be your new car after leasing is over??

Kind of disappointing that it is so noisy…This does sound like Mercedes family member. Maybe tires with acoustic foam will help…
Quel est le prix de la smart Barbus
Volvo EX30 is rumoured to be based on this Smart.. or vice versa.
Nope, they are using the same platform wish Geely have developed for small ev:s like Smart #1, Volvo XC 30 and Polestar 4.
@@Mr_Seppo that's what I meant

Wouldn’t pay silly prices for this car. Feels a step down from the ID range.
Really?
Wait are you talking about VW ID cars. 😂😂
