Shredding for Hope 4 Amber DeBellis Solo

Hey all! I know I haven't been tending to my UA-cam very well. Life has been rough and I don't know how to juggle YT, IG, FB, etc yet ;_;
Here is my solo from ‪@BradleyHallGuitar‬ and ‪@caitdevinmusic‬ Shredding for Hope. So honored to have been part of this charity event! Took a couple cracks at improvising and this one was my favorite.

Holy shit that was incredible! I hear a lot of Marty Friedman influences in your phrasing, but this is FAR from a 'Megadeth tribute'. There are so many unique and original licks and ideas here, it is kinda crazy that you managed to cram so much in so little time. The opening is beautiful in so many different ways, it sounds so bright and, well, hopeful (you used Lydian there, right?). The note at 0:07 is just genius level playing honestly, especially when the following passage is almost purely pentatonic, the feeling those 2 solo parts emit is other-worldly. The bends are epic as all fuck (obviously) and you seem to be an exceptional 'bender' in general, when you curve the strings the effect you get just feels surreal, it sounds so 'guttural' in a way, like the guitar cannot get enough air and is crying for help, it is just awesome stuff all around. Finally, the shred run is great and a perfect ending to the solo. Your alt picking technique has gone an incredibly long way since a year or so, I must say I am absolutely jealous of your speed, accuracy and clarity. So yeah, all in all, one of the best things I have heard from you, if not the very best, keep it up :D
