That was a super fun ride and amazing flying. I always wanted to own a gyro but I think I'm getting too old now. I better stay on the ground and watch people like you go up. It looks like this model of gyro is very powerful to be able to make all those tight maneuvers so effortlessly. Looks much more agile than a small airplane.
Fun video, but I'd love to hear a voice-over narrative by the pilot describing his control inputs and what he's considering to keep the particular maneuver safe. That would be very informative.
Показалось инертность и запаздывание при управлении..не так уж и безопасны и просты эти" гироскопы"))) особенно на малой высоте и требуют довольно профессионального подхода в управлении..
Very impressive power to weight on this gyro. It spins very fast. He corrected several times with opposite rudder to make sure it doesn't spin too quickly. It climbs well and can really fly slow. None of the big & heavy 2-place gyro's that I have flown can do this (Magni, Auto Gyro, American Ranger etc.). They are just too stable and heavy. However, he is pushing it. If you want to do aerobatics buy a Pitts Special or Extra airplane. It's the only way to safely fly aerobatics.
The other main aircraft in his hanger is an F1 Rocket, so he does it all. I've seen a lot of great and natural pilots, but he's the most 'natural' pilot that I've met in person. Testpilot material to the extreme. Albeit there are a few points in his routine where if his engine quit, it might get a bit messy, he usually flies with energy in his favor and I feel confident that he'd be able to recover from 95% of anything that 'went wrong' at any given time in his 'fun' fights. PS - it is a Rotax 670.
Late 50’s I saw an air show that included a kind of aerial ballet. 4 benson copters at once doing things low level that no other aircraft would or could do. Probably why I own an ultralight gyro that I don’t know how to fly! (Instructors too far away and expensive)
No man don’t ever say instructors are to far away. Where do you live, you can find someone who will train you. I know CFI’s in different states that can train you, then you can take the slow and safe approach to flying and have fun 🤩
Yeah it’s on chest cam but I actually have cooler footage of the same flight but have to edit it on different computer. Maybe I can have it available in a couple of weeks.
@@GyroGerald Good it works for him; me, I'm not comfortable walking so close to the "bleeding edge." I enjoy your channel. Riding on a gyro "broomstick" is on my bucket list.
@@GyroGerald Hey there. I'm a 13yr. veteran of our counties search & rescue team. I'm convinced we need at least one rotro-craft of some sort but we' don't have the $$$ for the big guys. I'm seriously looking at building a gyro or ultralight helicopter for use in searches... already have at least one engine ready to go get, (50HP+). I have my own small machine shop with a fabing background, (raced motorcycles, custom knife maker) etc, etc. I need to talk to some one who knows their stuff... If you'd feel comfortable sharing your expertise, (no strings attached), please respond to this and I'd be glad to give you my email if only to ask some basic entry level questions. That way you have complete control of where this goes, if anywhere. Thank you for your time and if you're not interested, I understand, I apologize, and I'll go bother someone else. Again, thank you, Lonnie, Douglas County SAR.

I would love to see a pair of videos side by side, one showing this and the other showing it from the ground...get on it! =)
Nice Video. And that's a heck of a prerotator. That spun up very fast. Thanks for sharing!

I showed this video to my girl friend and made a suggestion that she took me up on. Thanks for the video
Lol what ? Is she gonna start flying with you now? 😃
🤩🤩 impressive. Just starting m'y pilot Journey. Will love to have a chance to see you fly

Quite a ridiculous ending statement, but you get that.
AWESOME flying!!!
Hmmmm... I miss Wachula. I wondered if there was still any activity there and if Bensen Days were still going...

These manouevres are way too dangerous and close to the ground.
Wow....I have never seen this view of flight. Very cool

Great video that’s how I fly over here in Australia
This guy is crazy or has mad skills or both i love it though these gyrocopter contraptions are bad ass i haz to get me one
"He Lived Like a Madman." RIP
No it’s skill my man, you could do it as well with a skill set for aviation like this guy.

Wild flight.
I could never get myself to do that.
Dumb question, what is the top right instrument indicate? I can't quite make it out.
Fun meter?
That's the last time I watch one of these - without taking Dramamine a half hour before watching. A pilot's pilot.
Lol you’ll pull through
Gyro Drifto.
Don't hate!😁
There's no loop in this video.
Look at the collective shaking his hand at loops!!!!!! That is structural failure waiting to happen!!!!!
I can do that! Hold my 🍺 lol
Круто!!!)) Good!!
You're crazy
🙏👍👍
wow
There's a 1st time for everything. Never thought a gyro could perform a full tonneau...
