I love this video. I'm actually in the middle of putting up my gallery wall. You inspired me to finish :) My tip: Instead of cutting out paper the size of the frame, I use the paper that comes inside of the frame with the picture of the fake family lol Super easy and quick.
Picture ledges for the win! I have multiple picture ledges around the house, and love that if you get bored with them just change the layout, add or subtract some decor, and bam, five minute whole new look with no holes in the wall. This was a fun video. Loved all the gallery walls, even the farmhouse one (and that's usually so not my style).
Farm House looks like bohemian or minimalist but none the less that cow picture makes it so much humanistic and nature dream like. Loved the farm house and eclectic styles.
Your farmhouse wall can easily be converted to rustic with stained wooden frames and a few more nature pictures. That wall was my favorite. I really liked the layout.
Your Title says ELECTRIC which sounded like a fun style but then you started talking ECLECTIC. I think you need to create the electric style. Always love your work!
My gallery wall will be an eclectic mix of some of my cross stitchings I’ve done. I haven’t framed them yet but in 2022 I’m buying my first home and I’m so excited to get started.
The timing of this is great. We have a back stairwell wall that I want to put hooks on, but now I realize I want the hooks to be part of a gallery wall. The different styles you show were really helpful. I'm inspired, thank you!
This was so well done! My whole life I would've picked Minimal, but this past year or so I've been turning into more of an Ecelctic kinda gal. I have some puzzles hanging on my wall and they're in that Eclectic order, and honestly it's kinda freeing. It's crazy how much the appearance of your room or wall impacts you! Would love to see more videos differentiating and highlighting these styles! 😊
I love an eclectic-style gallery wall. I have one now. It combines picture ledges and art hung on the walls. Most of my art is original, the theme is nature, and every frame is different, most are vintage. It also includes a faux deer head, butt basket, lamp, and brass deer head statue. This gallery wall grew organically.
I love gallery walls!!! 🙈😍 Definitely more eclectic here & I use it to display our family photos (so they’re grouped) amongst other things - special needs does limit it though bc any plants, mini shelf, etc would be removed from the wall by “little” fingers quite quickly. 🙃😂🙈 We keep to using command strips to make it a bit safer for our little too. ❤️
I had a gallery wall In an old apartment and it was a mixture of framed prints from my parents Childhood and prints of the 30’s artist Capiela. He did the patte de baroni spaghetti poirot clown, dancing girls, green goblin absinthe ad etc.,,, I miss that wall though I do still have all the artwork all around our house 😀. Great job!
Eclectic is my favourite but I also really like your farmhouse look, which is not normally my thing. I have a very eclectic gallery wall. Paintings (including paintings from my niece and nephew), prints, photos, clock, mini cottages on a small shelf. A few small plants are my next addition. Just so fun to look at!
I have done each of these styles in different houses over the years!! Love your examples so so much!! AND I love your blouse!! You wear it beautifully!!
Yessss! Love that blouse on you. It's very sophisticated with that warm rich tone! That blouse with your hair parted on the side not the middle, would be off the hook!!
I love the tips for the gallery wall... I'm in the process of adding to mine, so this definitely helps. The only thing is that personally, I find that buying art online is very impersonal and random. The artwork I have are pieces that I have collected over time or ones that my friends have made and I think that makes it more meaningful. Like how Alexandra has her Harriet picture and the Design Sandwich artwork.
Great tips here. I voted for minimal in the poll, but I would hang any of them except farmhouse in my home. I kind of love the eclectic most, even though I stick to black, white, wood & plants throughout the house. Great way to add color. Thanks!
Love the eclectic and farmhouse. I have two gallery walls in my home; one is themed (huge canvases of our pets), the other is a combo of the eclectic and farmhouse.
Love the minimal example! Planning to try that layout with some landscapes on a long blank wall in my guest room next year! Also, leftover wrapping paper with the grid on the back is a great alternative to the craft paper!
I feel like gallery walls shouldn’t all be mass produced cheap prints…plenty of artists sell risographs/screenprints of their work for relatively cheap and you’re supporting a small business at the same time. I also think thrifting/antiquing vintage art just adds more character to a space too. Something about a gallery wall with all white frames also just feels kinda sterile and cold kinda like an ikea showroom or something. Mixing and matching vintage frames just adds warmth!
@@tracygarrett3952 If you have like 3 of the same frames repeated at least once in a gallery wall you can make it look intentional and cohesive. It just adds more depth to your space. If everything is match-y match-y it just looks like a target ad.
@@Anthony-fr8tj Hahaha on the 'Target ad." The ones I really dislike are the gold vintage frames in a gallery wall because they're so busy to begin with, that when you add multiples, there's just too much going on for this girl.
I like all the gallery styles (although none of the artwork is to my taste. ;) ). Not sure what my style would be, although possibly Eclectic/Cottagecore. I feel that the styles shown refer more to the types of art and that any of the positioning could be used for any style...possibly. lol Great tutorial, Alexandra, to show how to hang the different shapes and styles! ♥
Yes- can we request this as a series and have a cottage core and transitional design style example? Also maybe a video and or quiz where we learn about design styles to add to our definition of what we like? Traditional comfortable farmhouse does not seem to be a thing, but I think it is what I like.
Thank you so much for the tips! I've been trying to figure out how to design an eclectic gallery wall with paintings, pressed plants, embroidery etc. Your tips for using paper was amazing! It helped so so much in figuring out where to put everything.
Ok.. so now I know I'm an eclectic gal through and through, but OH my word the farm house 😍 I'm a fan of mixing styles. Moving homes soon across the globe. Cannot wait to try my own mix of eclectic and farmhouse. Incredible vid. You should do more of these.. like a series. This was great. Thanks!👏🏽👌🏽
This is the perfect video I took all of my sisters photos out of her phone and I got them printed for gallery wall that I’m going to surprise her at her home and I had no idea how I was going to stick the pictures up there but now like I have an idea thank you merry Christmas
The gallery wall I have at home is the lay out of eclectic but the style prints and items of farmhouse, it took me 3 years to get it right but now I absolutely love it :)
Love this video. I like seeing the different ways to hang art. I actually never hang things on my walls. I have one picture of a dead cat…. I do however enjoy watching other people decorate their walls. I think you should make longer videos. Let us see more of the process. Love your channel!!!
I would have any of these styles in my place, I really enjoyed the Scandinavian and Farmhouse style! I have notice I have already done the eclectic and minimalistic style in my place.
Excellent 👌🏾 video. I was surprised to see that my style waned towards eclectic And farmhouse (love a botanical print). Next time, please add that eclectic can also have different coloured frames and added "life art", i.e shells or whatever treasures. The key to eclectic is anything goes. It just has to come together, not necessarily match. I loved the video. Kudos.
Clever as ever ❤️👍🏼 That Scandi galleri wall being Black and white only… I do not agree that this is a must. I HAVE seen b & w gallery walls in Denmark, but they are very few. I see b&w with splashes of bold colour as a trend in Denmark and Sweden both (yes, I’m a Dane). I really like the farmhouse wall, though I’m not usually into that style. But, presented in a neat order and a sparse colour palette, I’m quite drawn to it. I’d go with a rooster or a frog instead of a cow 😂
Hello Alexandra I really enjoyed the eclectic one that you did I also like the one that is with the shelves I wasn't too crazy about the black and white ones but that's probably because I enjoy color I might enjoy the same style but with some pictures with color but then I guess it wouldn't be scandi or whatever that one was. 😊 The one that you put the hooks with I really like that one too. I really enjoy watching your program you have very good taste and you're very talented
The last one is my favourite 🤩 🥰👍👍👍
I love this video. I'm actually in the middle of putting up my gallery wall. You inspired me to finish :) My tip: Instead of cutting out paper the size of the frame, I use the paper that comes inside of the frame with the picture of the fake family lol Super easy and quick.
That’s a really great idea!!! Love it!,
This is what I usually do.
Thanks for this tip

Farmhouse looks the most interesting !
They all look good to me, but I like the eclectic style the best. I especially like the addition of decor. So pretty!
Very nice farmhouse-style gallery wall. Love it.
Loved them all but Farmhouse is my favorite. Thank you!
Your farmhouse wall can easily be converted to rustic with stained wooden frames and a few more nature pictures. That wall was my favorite. I really liked the layout.

The title actually says eclectic not electric check the tile out again
I read eclectic in the title
@@Michelle34485 They probably fixed it.
I bet Alexandra can come up with an electric style too!! 😆
The title DID say 'electric', so they obviously changed it, thanks to Joanne's comment. :)

The eclectic gallery wall is my fave! Love everything about it. ❤
I’m not a farm house fan but I liked it best because it was most interesting to look at. Great easy to understand how to video. Thanks!
The farmhouse one, hands down!!! 🐔🐗🐣

I remember the first video of your that I watched. You did a pocket office. Have been a fan ever since❤️

Gahh I can't choose just one!! They're all so good!!!!!
Always considered myself eclectic but now I think I am a blend between eclectic and Scandi. Great video.
Eclectic. I live my life as an eclectic person. I like what I have and don't care if anyone does Or doesn't .

I love the Eclectic! I'm really liking to do layering with that kind of style. Being more of a maximalist it just makes it more fun 🥰
I love the eclectic style the best followed by scandi. I'm a huge fan of photo rails!
Eclectic is my favorite!! You made this look so easy. Thanks for all of your tips and tricks.

My fav is Alexandra's farmhouse. A very minimalist, bohoish, scandi take on farm house ......by you.
Lol
