As a result of a flyer that came through my letterbox I became interested in attending one of Count Arthur's motivational speeches. Unfortunately the information regarding the location of the event put me off. "Yes ladles and germs, come and hear me in person at the old gas mantle factory just opposite the now defunct fireworks warehouse, later converted to to a wool shop and now I believe is a surgical appliance shop that has I'm fairly sure moved to the other side of town. Not the one in Whitefield Street but rather the one that is next to the Methodist Chapel which is now a laundry. Look for goodness sake can you not just use your brains, if you've got any. I'm sick and tired of all this constant hand holding that I have to do. If you can't take in just a few directions then I'm afraid there is probably little I can do for you. So I suggest you may as well not bother. Thank you, I don't think"
my favourite is when he gets fogbound whilst driving to a scout weekend and parks up in a 'field' in the middle of nowhere...luckily there's a pub very close by.
I would have named my son Arthur after the count but he was born too soon in 1975. So i called him Arthur after my father who was called Arthur after his father who was called Arthur.
I feel totally motivated now. Motivated to try and find the one where he gets locked in an Old People`s Home or whatever they`re called nowadays....for Chrimbo. It`s susposed to be on youtube somewhere.
I'm sure we all feel motivated by a talk of such impenetrable - I mean penetrating plastic oh not plastic, perspex - oh no perspicacity I said. What's the matter with you? Oh, I really do . . . 🤠
