My boyfriend and I fixed my lamp shade together using this technique. Thank you so much for sharing. We usually just detail cars together , this was a first.
I just ordered these same vinyl placemats after watching your video. I found an old lamp and lampshade someone had put on the side of the road for garbage pickup. Thank you so much for this creative idea.
WOW!!!! That looks so elegant, you truly did an exceptional job. Now that I have gotten turned on to your site, I will definitely be looking be forward to other projects. Thanks 🙂
What a clever DIY?!?!👍👏 I love it💞💕💞. I have lamps that I have grown tired of and now they can have "new life". Big thanks for sharing. The lamp itself is also very pretty.
I have these placemats in silver! Got them from Walmart on line! Had to search long and hard! Saw them on UA-cam used on kitchen back splash! Love the shade and lamp!
Hello Orchid, I have just finished up cycling my black bedroom lampshades by following your video, I used gold table mats on the top of my black shades they look a million dollars, (well pounds as i live in England)😃 my bedroom is gold, black and cream so they match very well. Thanks so much for the video what a clever idea, it’s passed a few hours while I’ve been in lockdown. Looking forward to following more of your video’s. STAY SAFE 😷 Jean Clifford👍
Good morning, you're so smart using that border you cut off to finish off the beautiful design! Love it love it I'll be doing this soon thank you have a beautiful day
Sooooooo nice. Iam going to do a total glam look for my living room and brought this three tier lamp and didn't know what I was going do about the shades. Thank you for sharing your talents
I saw this video a couple of months ago and I was ready to throw away my lamp shades and then I came across this video. Thank you! Ever since I've been on the hunt for the plate mats and drum sound please, I found them yesterday and I do not need to paint because they are the exact color I need. Found then at "Lots for Less" in the city (I live in NY) and I pay $1.99 for each. I can't wait to try this. Thanks you so much for sharing your talent. GBY
@@DesignOnADimeKwok , I've actually seen these same placemats at Publix. I want to say under 4.00 for a pack of four. Nice shade she put together there!!
What a beautiful shade you created. I have one that is turning yellow......will be using your technique to revive it. Thank you for being here with your wonderful creativity.
...girllllll🥰🥰🥰 that's all I can say!!! We need a house tour. Ur DIYs are flawless. I see others slapping jewels on everything but you, your designs are classic, tasteful and clean!!!
I have those same placemats, I bought them from Walmart for $1.50 each in silver. They come in silver, gold, and rose gold. Since my living room and kitchen butt against each other, I think I'll match my lamp to my table decor. Thanks for this DIY!
Just beautiful! Hard to believe you made something so beautiful so for such a low price. This looks elegant. I've been pricing new lamps for my bedroom remodel, and the prices are crazy high! I just thought of some lamps I have stored in my attic. I'll redo the shades like this. The bottom is gold, so I'll paint them silver. The body of the lamps is crystal cut glass. I see an exciting weekend project ahead!! Thanks for your excellent idea!!
Amazing! I bought a lamp at a Table Top sale at the weekend - cost me £1…hope to recover it and give it a new life! Thank you, and cheers from England xx
I just found this today. And it's so beautiful. Wow, it looks so elegant. I actually have some red plastic placemats that have the similar style. I am definitely going to try this.
I used Dollar Tree place mats to cover my kitchen walls as a border. Came out perfectly. And if you can't find a lot of them in the same color. Just spray paint them any color u like. I just stapled them to the wall and trimmed the out as needed. You'll be surprised what u can do with a little imagination and spray paint. I'm about to glam m6 house up thus summer. Also if you want to change the color of your kitchen cabinets or furniture....use Chalk paint. U can gave it tinted any color. It's a bit expensive($20-34)but it's worth it. I painted my kitchen cabinets...didn't even have to take the doors off. I saved so much time. No sanding or anything. Just clean the surface u want to paint...and paint. I went over it with a semi-gloss for shine. Makes your life so easy. Now on to another project!💞
This is Gorgeous and Inventive!..luv it! Side Note..Gotta love Bobby's been around since I was a litte girl..I miss living in NY for that..gotta check them out whenever I come see my Family
