This morning my girlfriend and I were looking at old vacation photos from Gran Canaria. I was looking for a video of the hotel and came across the one of you. When I saw the room number, I could hardly believe it: this is exactly our room. But the inside has changed quite a bit. Back then the wood was all dark brown, now it's all white - it looks much better now. It was exciting to see how the room has changed. Thanks again for the beautiful video :)
Thanks for the vids, we have just booked this for a week next June, so hoping it will be an adequate hotel for a cheeky week, the area looks really nice and would love some info if you had any, where would you say would be the better area for a room at the hotel please?…
Hi Wes. Thanks for watching!! Regarding where in the hotel most places are really good just depends on whether you want to be near one of the 2 pools or the reception/main area?? The complex is laid out really well just make sure whether your room only or self catering as room only has ONLY a fridge the apartments on the ground floors are the ones with kitchens. The area has loads of resteraunts and bars within a Shirt walk. And the walk round to Maspalomas is a good 20mins but really good. Enjoy and just chill. Hire a car as the interior of the island is green and tranquil!!
@@simmyontour1970 room only for us, as long as it’s the mini fridge and kettle we are happy, the obvious concerns are cleanliness and not having a hotel from hell scenario….. we won’t car hire, it’s a no kids week, so food and drink and bath type of week really, we would like an area close enough to the pools without the bulk of any noise as such, the promenade/ restaurant/bars look really nice, and although a cheap week is the intentions, we don’t mind a splash one or two nights, the main hope is to get a little insight as to where we could email the hotel for a request on room area really
@wesdavies2455 Hi. The hotel and rooms are worth around 4 to 5 star and cleanliness etc is really good. If you can get a front line room to the left of the pool you will also have the sea view as in the pool bar which is also great value and food is great there but we had a meal one night in the main hotel and not that brilliant but pool bar serves far better food!! There is another large pool surrounded by rooms which we never ventured to and a mini golf which we never found (didn't really try looking that hard🤣🤣) Not sure of the room numbers but ours was a front line one at the end so any on that row would suit you. It's on the road side buy hardly any traffic and a really up market area!! Hope this helps? Or not🫣🫣🤣🤣👍
Hey Simon, due to stay out in caybeach in a few weeks, could you recommend a location on the rooms to ask the hotel to stay in please, two couples travelling, with no kids, just wondering if asking for rooms nearer the reception and two pools would be benificial? 👍🏴
Hi Wes. It's not a big hotel but has 2 pools and the rooms at the bottom pool are more secluded and quiet but a short walk to the main pool and pool bar. Just to bare in mind the bigger rooms with kitchens are all on the ground floor. Hope this helps?? Enjoy!!!
@@simmyontour1970 yeah we know about the g/floor self catering etc, we understand from a few vids that we will be upstairs, we where just wondering if asking to stay closer the hotel reception would benefit us, been stung before having rooms that are not as nice or in a not so great location, so was hoping to get some insider info as to where to stay or where to ask to say if it was to benefit us in our stay please?..🙏🏽🏴
Hi Wes. ALL the rooms are from what we saw were all really good like the one in my video. If you want some kind of view the only ones that sort of had that were those in front of us and those up next to reception but these could be noisy as next to the pool and lower ones are on the road side but its not a busy road. All the rest have pool views or look on to each other. Nor sure about bottom pool ones as never looked round that part but they all seemed to have pool views. 👍
