- High up in the Carmel mountains of northern Israel you can find the Druze, a secretive ethno-religious group that plays a major part in Israeli society. ILTV.tv's Natasha Kirtchuk had the chance to visit Daliyat al-Karmel, a place some would call the capital of the Druze community. Take a look.

0.5% of jordan population are druze

G’day from Australia and there thousands of Druze here and the earliest migration was over 150 years ago. My Great Grandfather’s brother came here around 1890.

During WW1 they stole or burned the food and livestock in Lebanon and starved the population. 1/3 of the Lebanese died and the others were saved only because the British evicted them. You can still see it on the internet. Try not to assume that only your people suffered.
My Grandmother never forgot nor forgave and all her life she had a phobia against throwing out food or not having enough supplies. She died at 101 and always spoke of being hungry and seeing dead people everywhere.

@@Greezy2000 I come from a Lebanese Druze family and we don’t talk much about Druze from the neighboring countries. We’re a closed community and don’t often think of people who live kilometers away. I would say we’re neutral, some Druze in Lebanon are even Zionists.

I am a Syrian Druze, so I can only speak for the Syrian Druze (and of course, not all of them). But yes, many of them are connected to other Druze in Israel, Lebanon, and Jordan. We do care about each other. As for Israel and Jewish people, I'd say that the majority of druze think highly of Israel and the Jewish people, partly also due to the common belief that Jewish and Druze people are somehow connected in faith. Nonetheless, there is an Arabic-nationalist minority that is against Israel.
@@Greezy2000 According to my knowledge which is the common among druze communities in lebanon, we think of them as brothers in the religion and we have tighs with them, even last year druze from isreal came to a big druze town in lebanon called baysour for a visit and mantiain the religous and social ties, now religously we see them no different, on the political side, the druze in lebanon in the past stood with the palistinians from a principle moral stand point, not religous, e.i. with respect to the Al-Aqsa mousqu and our muslim friends, but it doesn't have a significant role in the druze religion, however lebanese druze stood with the expelled palistinians for their rights to be in their land as well, but we don't hold anything against isreali druze, becuase nationality doesn't change the way you warship God, borders are political matter, religions have no borders.
So Druze are basically hipsters of all religions. Great people, wish all Middle Easterners would be like that

The Druze religion proves that the world is round and all religious faith revolve around the round world and mingle to create a so wonderful DRUZE religion who believe in reincarnation and their prophet is of Israel . The Israeli Druze are Israeli nationalist but the Lebanon Druze are Lebanon nationalist but the Syrian Druze are divided in the Golan Heights between Syria and Israel . But the Druze religion is so wonderful .

Did you know that there is growing evidence that Jesus himself is from the Druze bloodline? I'm druze, and trust me when you are druze there's no freedom in your life. You're not allowed to travel or go anywhere on your own, no piercing, no rings, no alcohol, no tattoos, no smoking, and many other stupid things that are forbidden to do and if you do them that means your parents didn't raise you well or they will look at you as if you are a traitor to them...this is just a 5 min video that shows the pretty side of druze but trust me you'll be shocked by the rules and the reality of living as a druze. Sticking your nose into books, and coming back home sitting with your parents the whole day no matter how old you are, you'll be doing this for years and years and doing nothing else, no fun at all; literally, depression and then an ugly, stupid guy looks at you as a pretty girl and says: ''oh.. she will do'' and you get married and have children, cook and clean, and he'll be having fun going out and not you, because you're ''the lady of the house.'' This is just a stupid video telling you what the druze eat and shows you a bunch of streets of druze villages, but you have no idea what's on the other side of being a druze.
