Hippowdon got the shaft when the games switched to 3d. It was cool when it was always pooring out sand and swimming in it. Now it just stands.

@@lqnreki well are eeveelution are great to perfeclty designed. Except maybe an oddbal in the family, which is a Sylveon.
And Espeon did get some love - he was main pokemon of Anabel from the Battle Frontier (at least in the anime) and was one of the pokemon of the one pokemon Artist who was second to Serena in Master Class. Not to mention it was one of Red's main pokemon in the manga.
But yeah, it deserves more. Imo all eeveelution deserve more love and attention.
For me, Buizel and Floatzel are underrated. They have good designs, are difficult to get in every game it appears in except Sinnoh, are strong water types and Ash’s was a badass.

@@lalaverdecia I don't get how the Shinx line are lynxes. They clearly look like lions, they have round ears, long tails and Luxray has a damn mane, these are lion traits that lynxes don't have. Sure, Shinx is named after a lynx, but look at Doduo and Dodrio. They're named after dodos but they're clearly ostriches with a hint of kiwi.
I personally think Skitty is underrated, and it’s also my favorite Pokemon of all time,. At least May had one in the anime.

First my favourite Eeveelution was Umbreon, but after I got a Leafeon in my Pokemon Platinum and Pokemon Soulsilver Randomizer Nuzlocke, it was awesome to use. It was my starter in Platinum and a wild pokemon in Soulsilver. It battled so well and he really grew on me, and now is my favourite Eeveelution.

@@f.b.iagent3971 I've seen his video. I kind of thought of it as a joke video since I don't think anyone could ever have genuine hatred towards an entire species just because they aren't that good at surviving. Koalas might not be good at surviving, but many of them are very friendly and lovable.

I don’t just hate them for their stupidity in survival, but it certainly is a factor, I mostly hate them because they’re loud, annoying, sleep for 5/6 of the day, aren’t even cute and just looking at them makes me recoil, its not aggression, its not fear, its just annoyance and hate

The Shinx family is my absolute favorite, too. And Riolu is such an underappreciated pokemon. I definitely agree with you that I'd love more merch for both!
Venomoth hasn't been included in a Regoinal Pokedex since Gen 2, not counting the remakes. Could we give the moth some love at least?

The Riolu and Sphinx on the thumbnail are pokemon I have and love on my team in Pokemon Brick Bronze. The Shinx is a Luxray right now too.

I think a Pokémon that could be on the list is Swampert. I feel like it's a very underrated pokémon being over shadowed by the other to starter counterparts. I wish I could get to see him more in the anime.

Shinx is my favorite pokemon ever, mostly because of emotional attachment. I owned a shinx in my first pokemon game and named it Edward, named after my own cat who later died. I cared more about my shinx then my starter

About Eevee being able to emote well;
For all the care that's put into this pokemon (and it emoting), its Gigantamax form has a large issue; it uses the wrong animation/voice line. Whenever talking to a fellow pokemon in Pokemon Camp, the Gigantamax Eevee will always use the sad animation when talking normally. The poor thing... I always looked over to see if it was sad, but no, it was just...broken.

I think Gigalith is somewhat underrated but Carracosta and Archeops are my big ones. Such underrated fossil mons. I want plushies of their pre evolutions too.
Heracross is one of my favorites and actually a main on my team. I do wish it got more attention from how cute and strong it is though.

I used volcarona on my white 2 team and grew to really like it and she was super strong as well and totally helped me out through very tough battles
but number 1 yeah I totally agree with Marshadow not only is it adorable but it is also super strong in battle
(a few years ago gamestop also released free marshadow codes on my birthday october 10th)
Vulpix is literally my favorite pokemon! I'd love to see them represented more!
Gen 5 changed the bug type from being usually weak to cool and badass
I played Shield on a friend's console and when I entered the wild area, I caught an Axew in a raid battle and it became my defacto starter cause I boxed my Sobble, it was adamant to boot so it was pretty monstrous
Ho-Oh over Lugia every time. It's still one of my all-time favourite legendaries (you know Dumbledore would have one). Celebi is also overlooked I think, again one of my favourites. As for non-legendary and non-mythical, Emolga, Skiddo, Deerling and Lanturn are some of my favourites, and I think Litleo is adorable.
I love Whimsicott, it destroyed Nanu, beat the dragon trial, and most of all, it was one of my MVPs in the Alolan league
I'm glad that Riolu ended up on the list- It feels like I'm one of the few people that really likes the Baby Pokemon. Tyrogue also needs more love. Riolu gets far more moves and options than Tyrogue does, yet they're still really similar in concept and stature.

Everyone is sleeping on my boy zigzagoon, it has good stats, a large movepool and can double as an hm slave.
Breloom is actually my favorite Grass-type.

Legit the shinx line would be a perfect starter pokemon, and my luxray was my second team member, always going shot for shot with my empolion, and even surpassing it, that was the only time I legitimately loved a pokemon I caught more than my starter
I love the Shinx line so much! I currently have a Luxray plushie and plan on getting a Shinx and Luxio plushie as well as the Shinx line figurines
Luxray is not only the secret 4th starter but also my favorite pokemon.
There are a lot of Pokémon I feel need more attention. Fearow, Tropius, poochyena and Mightyena, Wooper and Quagsire, Jynx, Hoppip and it’s evolutions, ledian, Qwilfish, cacturne, and a lot of others.
Aggron is and always has been my favorite Pokémon and I’m really happy you included him on this list!

Skarmory, Stantler, Finneon and Lumineon deserve more attention. I'd love a Galarian form Finneon/Lumineon that's like Water/Fairy or Water/Psychic or something.

Hippopotas and Hippowdon are hands down my favorite Ground types. I can understand why they may be overshadowed, but I’ve always loved em.
I fell absolutely in love with Shinx the first time I saw one in Platinum. I kept the first one I caught and it was with me to the elite four and ending. I loved the entire evolution line. One of my favourites.
Some of my favorites that need more attention are Banette, Cacturne, Golurk, Toxicroak, Scolopede, Eelektross, Chandelure, Druddigon, Bisharp, Durant, Clawitzer and Dragalge. They all have awesome designs and i hope at least one of them get a GMax, Regional Variant, or evolution.
I love Chandelure too.

The shinx line is my favorite Pokemon/Pokemon line
As far as Skiddo, I say forget the "official" (AKA anime) pronunciation. The word is spelled with only one o which only very very rarely sounds like oo. On top of that, it's a goat kid...and kiddo is a sort of cutesy play on the word kid. So it's a play on words and makes sense with the spelling where skid-doo is.....a brand of jetski? Idk what they're even going for with that.
5:38-5:45 Michael does want a pegasus evolution or regional variant for Zebstrika, along with Breloom getting variant as well. He'd be proud of those two entries.
I want Mamoswine to get more attention it's a tank and it's ice/ground typing helps out a lot and it's suprisingly speedy
I have started to like Vespiquen as an underrated pokemon, I uset it in my second run in Pokemon sword, and it was one of my best Pokemans in my team. Also it's is pe-evolution was my first shinny

I used to own a Riolu, but it evolved into a Lucario and it's at level 83 now. I also used to own a Luxio in Pokemon Omega Ruby, just before my game crashed and I had to by a new one. I got the Riolu in a trade in the new copy of the game.
Shinx: physical attacker with only 2 STAB physical attacking moves and 1 of them does recoil damage

I think I know the reason why both versions of vulpix are marketed together.
They are the fox equivalents of Shoto Todoroki from BNHA, but with the fire side being calm but friendly while the ice side is being feisty but shy! I might be wrong.
Vulpix was my favorite Pokemon when i was a kid I'd love more love for it from game freak
Btw if you plan on playing Gen 5, i reccommend using Stoutland it had a heart breaking story in the anime, and its also one of the only Normal Third Evolution mons. Which makes him pretty effective.

Everyone always says omastar is better just because of lord Helix even though Kabutops is clearly better.
Clawitzer is forgotten about despite being super strong and having a great ability. It also has a badass design. Easily my favorite Pokemon.
