I love how in the international games, most of the crowd aren’t even fans of the team playing but still go and seem to have the best time ever. Looks like a rainbow in the stands with all the different jerseys lol.
It's crazy just how much work goes into these games. But it also shows that unless things evolve massively the NFL will not be expanding across the pond anytime soon
I think it will be extremely hard to establish a erupean team that plays in the NFL. The only way I see it happening is if the Erupean team plays half the season in straight home games with NFL teams taking turns going over the pond. And then the Erupean team playing the remaining season in all away games coming over here and bieng on the road for the remainder of the season. But playing 8 straight away games away from home is a massive disadvantage as it impacts morale.
I would assume that a European team would have a “home” base in the US in like New York or something like that. For the other teams the NFL might get a permanent facility in Europe so the teams don’t have to pack so much or bring all the practice gear
@@x-90 We (The uk) have an NFL Academy (which is just down the road from me at the Uks best sporting uni) which they could use to keep the kit then they could grow all aspects of the sport including coaches and behind the scenes people.
This is just silly. With boarding / flight / departure, it's a 5-6 hour flight from LA to NY. LA to Berlin is 8-9 hours. NY to Berlin is that same original 5-6 hours. Pretending that the entire world would be upended because of an extra 3 hours flying-time is just asinine. If European teams were added to the NFL, all these logistical issues would just become part of the routine as it is for any other NFL city.
I wish my Seahawks could play every year in Germany. I wasn't in the Allianz Arena, but i was the Weekend in Munich and the atmosphare was amazing so many 12's from all over the World 💙💚. I think or hope i can see my First Seahawks Game in Seattle. Go Hawks 💙 💚

Here’s my pitch for more NFL Europe games 1. Make sure each team playing has a bye the week before to train up 2. Make it a Neutral site Game in standings (so each team has 8 Home and Away Games) 3. Never let a divisional game play abroad Would cultivate more hype behind the games and give athletes a chance to be a part of the culture of the host nation. It’s not perfect but I’d like to see the NFL go global!
Would teams rather have a bye before or after tho but you have a point. Also have each team play a neutral game (which could be used as a tie breaker if needed) (these could be hosted in the us and canada) each year.
Teams now have 17 games. 8 home and 8 away and 1 which alternates. The bye week after was normal on the London games but some teams requested not to. They've played London games since 2007 which each team would have learnt from

@Josh M if you look at top speeds they can both run fast for short bursts. When I looked up the fastest soccer players (>23 mph) they were faster than the fastest nfl players. The difference is small though. However, soccer is played continuously and not interrupted frequently that’s why they rarely reach their actual top speeds. A midfielder usually runs around up to 10 miles during a game.
Yes they are. NFL players are far more athletic & physical. Not a knock on soccer players I love soccer, but just look at the physique of elite NFL players vs Neymars, Haaland, whoever. It’s night and day. & these guys run with pads and helmets that fast.

I would like to know how the Bucs prepared fofr the game. When I took trips from CA to Hamburg I was jetlagged for the first 3 days. I bet you the Bucs got in the week before. You can tell by who won! LOL It was great to see the NFL in Germany. I do not know why they imported equipment from UK? Germany also has a pro (semi) league..
I'd imagine jetlag for seahawks would be a bit less of a problem, because they are used to flying east for their roadtrips to the likes of NY, Philly or Boston (even if not that far east), while buccaneers usually fly west - this is before the game ofc... sure they both have to fly back all the time too, but thats after the game already happened and they usually have a couple days to get back into game mode. For me personally, jetlag flying west usually is alot more intense compared to flying east.
Buccs arrived a day after Seahawks. Well known knowledge. Scheduling is hard but The Bye Week should be prior Intl Games and not after! So they can really arrive at least 7 days earlier, get adjusted, do real PR, sightseeing and have more than enough time for theory and practical training! It's also well for team building! Kinda like a combined vacation/business trip in a spirit like a school trip! It's just 1 game a year they are a week away from family but can gain a exciting experience! Those 3 days are just to cramped. The players are focused on Team Schedule as any Away Game and the Fans don't really have any Interactions but first rows of Stadium for 4-5 hours. They haven't done much 'marketing' and for team, league it's best they do then some fan stuff, signing, charity like in their home-town EACH week!
I think this explains why the slipping and sliding on the field happened because all the equipment was shipped a week before they knew the field conditions.
Don't be stupid! There were negotiation delegations for years! Hence the 17th Game Addition! Esp in Spring 2022 organizing all the details when Munich (and Frankfurt) got the contractual bid! A week in advance, R U dumb?! That's when everything was set to go from the League for the Teams to arrive with their usual Road Trip Stuff! The grass is as it is for Soccer. A week earlier was the last game of the Soccer Season. NFL was guest and is not building/financing a own stadium.

The Infrastructur is more available for such an event. Munich can host 2 Games parallel...also with the Olympic station 65.000 capacity.
