As someone who was obese myself and lost the weight with diet and exercise, there is one thing I learned is that you didn't get to be fat overnight. It takes years of abusing your body to get this way and it is NOBODY's fault other than your own.
Exactly dude, I used to weigh like 360 lbs. In the last year Ive lost over 70 pounds. I didn't even really change my diet, I just started riding 5 miles a day on my bike then than turned to my current 26 miles daily on a bike. Anyone who says diet and exercise doesn't work just isn't doing it.
@@fanlbc 100% I did Keto and exercise. The pounds melted off. They even teach in Weight Watchers that you didn't get obese overnight, it takes years to get that way so it takes years to correct it. You just have to make a choice, do you want to be fat or do you want to be healthy. Once you see the pounds coming off it's a no brainer. I'm fine not eating 5 slices of pizza like I used to because I enjoy being a healthy weight more instead.
For most,but for me I was a size 3 until i hit 36. I went from a 3 to a 12. Gained 55lb in just a few weeks due to a thyroid storm.

I have a friend who weighs over 400 lbs, but his is mostly a thyroid issue. In the past couple years, he's been striving to lose weight. He of course struggled with cutting certain foods and drinks for a while, but now he's completely stopped drinking soda and eating things loaded with sugars. So far he's lost about 40lbs, and I'm proud of him for continuing to try even when he falters instead of just giving up and throwing a fit.
Make sure to check up on him every now and then. How’s his health going?

An update on Maja:
Apparently, as of a few months ago, she's recently posted images on social media showing she's lost 200-300+ lbs. She doesn't look amazing by normal BMI standards, but she looks way better and is living a more active lifestyle. Maybe Christian leaving her was the wake-up call she needed and turned things around. I hope she becomes the better person she wants to be.
Instead of insulting the people who try to help her, she’s just not a good person.

She may very well be a narcissist, or she's just so wrapped in mental defenses due to her mental illness that she's projecting everything she feels about herself on everyone else. To avoid introspection about how everything is her fault, she'll avoid the stress by going after others.

As a physically handicapped person, my mouth fell when she blamed the airport for "lying" to her! You have the responsibility to figure these things out. There is NOTHING I can do to make my body work properly, I have to do a ton of PT just to slow the progressive downhill spiral that will occur no matter what I do, but every single time I have flown I have researched on where things are and if I believe I will need more assistance. Even when I took a school trip I made sure the teachers knew to book a wheelchair.
You cannot blame strangers for not accommodating your requirements when you don't even take the time and effort to know what they will be yourself!

Heavily overweight women hate the fact that some people think they are somehow lazy for getting so fat, but it's just true. If someone quickly gains 20 or 30 pounds, they are aware of it. If they continue gaining weight, it's because they are aware, but don't care. That's called letting YOURSELF go. Having a surplus weight of 80 pounds is evidently NOT good for your health ( heart, joints, diabetes ). Once you join the BIG club, it's very hard to come back to a healthy weight. Why specifically women ? Well, overweight or not, people generally don't care about men. They are used to be invisible, even the large ones.
I recently watched this episode of My 600Ib Life. It's interesting to ger your viewpoint on it.
I was so relieved to see Christian walk away from the constant abuse he got from Mya. She blamed him for her weight gain. Yet she had no issue to drive herself to the junk food drive thru.
I hope Christian is happy in his life now.
I know we only see snippets of a person's life on these episodes but Mya's mother seems cold towards her. Her dad didn't bother with Mya either when she was 8 years old due to her weight, that's really harsh. Instead of helping and guding Mya to achiece a healthy lifestyle, both parents dis what they whated and seem to have left Mya to manage. Now as an adult she's full of histrionics from her past. It's sad. No excuse for Mya to abuse Christian or anyone else though. She needs a lot of therapy to work through her issues.

I knew someone like her. Not a romantic partner. It was my mother. Any time something went wrong, it was someone else's fault in her head (usually mine). My brothers did something wrong while she was at work? My fault for not stopping them as the oldest. Something broke in the house? My fault because "you live here, so you should know what does on in this house." Even when her health faltered, it was because I was always causing her so much stress. She almost never took any accountability as a parent or adult for her own issues. She likely STILL hasn't learned.
I dont know in this case but whenever parents allow their children to become morbidly obese that's not the kids fault. Its the parents fault.

The first sign of struggle and I wasn't close to this woman at all, I would've already left. If I had some sort of feelings for her, I would've lingered on for about 5 struggles depending on how bad or toxic they are and then leave. Feelings only go so far with me when someone's actions speak to me, if you treat me like trash, then I'm going to treat you like a like some random rock and leave you behind and not even give you a second thought as I remove any memories and objects that remind me of you from my life. I dont play these games with anyone, I will cut that person out of my life if they mistreat me and I will act like they never existed in my life and they should be glad and thankful I do that instead of hating them and wanting to do damage against them.

I’ve never been over 300 pounds. The highest I’ve been was 260. I am currently in my weight loss journey (under 200 now) and I have a very unhealthy relationship with food due to the way I grew up when living in the house I got my trauma. As a kid, it wasn’t my fault, as a teen and adult, it definitely was. I just lost all motivation to ignore my cravings. I ate a lot of fast food, drank a lot of soda and barely any water. But I never blamed it on anyone but myself and my medical issues. Even now, I am fully aware what I do, and if what I do has negative consequences, it’s every bit my fault.
I’m glad he left, and I hope she comes out of her delusions and really helps herself. Both physically and mentally.

There's a piece of advice I heard from someplace I can't recall -- a bit chilling, but probably true. Working as a lifeguard, you might want to try and save everyone that you can. But there are some drowning people that will thrash about and panic and drag you down into the water with them. Those are people that you must not sacrifice yourself for, because they will drag you down, and there is nothing you can ever do for them.
