Shadow of Intent, Animals as Leaders, Jason Richardson, Shokran, Capstan, Avenged Sevenfold, Berried Alive, Rings of Saturn, Cane Hill, just a few modern metal bands that are filled to the BRIM with solos ALL the time. Solos are not losing popularity, people just found out they can do other things that have a greater impact than solos all the time.

Ha! I saw the original song, was hilarious but also a genuinely wicked song. Also love seeing the pitchproof plugin popping up in stuff, I've been using it for years, though I actually crank it up to +12 and put in low in the mix, even for playing heavy riffs. It sounds awesome and makes sure you keep clarity of what you're playing, even with loads of distortion.
Nik's bern putting out dinner BANGER songs as of late, mostly bringing out the best parts of metal bands while making songs inspired by them. Maybe you guys can do some Classic or Thrash Metal together?

I like both you and Nik Nocturnal. I'm not a natural musician. My background is as a "hard rock" vocalist. But I've recently started learning to play bass to help with writing and I've been expanding my knowledge of music theory and tone to help when writing with other musicians and recording. I wanted to say thank you for creating your channel. Both you and Nik have been very helpful in teaching me things (intentionally or not) that I might never have learned without you doing what you do.

Someone should do a deep dive vid on guitar solos. How and why they originated, where, who, how or why they became so popular and then also why they declined in popularity. That kind of thing. I would love to watch that video.
