Word is that the Metzelers have completely transformed the handling/cornering of 2018 R3. It now almost matches RC390 in handling, whilst maintaing its comfortable ergonomics.
R3 is beauty...really appreciate your efforts on providing reviews, i really like them. You are keeping precise reviews which i like. keep them coming. A full review of R3 would be good. i am sure its on the horizon...good luck
I heard that the previous gen R3 gave around 17-22kmpl🤔 If it really gives more than 25 I would consider that it's a huge improvement over the previous model😁

As you like sport tourers and you have one too... I'll strongly suggest you to own this motorcycle. BTW the elephant part was especially *BEAUTIFUL*. I envy you for living in a place like that.
Please do a complete review of R3 and a comparo with CBR 250r, Apache 310rr(pillion comfort, refinement, vibrations, brakes, ABS etc). Thanks a million!
I'm averaging 20 Km/ltr on mine (2016 MT-03, but same bike just with no front fairing, same 321cc twin motor though). I got better fuel economy when I toured on a 1200CC BMW R1200GS! These are NOT economical engines, that's for sure. But they are pretty fun for a 300.
I get a mileage of 31km/L on highways at 150km/h-200km/h. In city I get 28kms/L at 60km/h-100km/h. Depends on ur maintenance chart, lube and fuel quality u use. I regularly use Shell and Yamalube along with Nitrogen filled tyres and a tight chain. Many other R3 maintaining tips u can explore on UA-cam. Rev Safe folks !
Great Strell, That's what I wanted.....I understand that this is built for some serious fun. But then, mileage is also important as it will allow you to enjoy this machine on longer rides with lesser stops and at the same time economical on your pocket as well which is not bad at all.

Excellent Test due, the other videos where many use 100ml to test is not atall accurate way to determine mileage. But i noticed in India a Bike like Apache 200, NS 200 is sufficient for even Highway use....The higher end bikes like R3 or rr310 must be fun to ride but their speeds are very less utilized due to india Highway traffic

I have my reservations on those nos, my close friend owns a 2016 R3, done 26k kms, the max Fe it has returned riding at upto 110 kmph is 24 to 25 kmpl. He is part of the all india R3 whatsapp group and a lot of the owners report similar nos. He services his bike on time and it is a well maintained bike.

We need to take the fuel efficiency into consideration to calculate the full tank range. There is no point in getting a bike that you need to fuel up every 200 kms...
I have Yamaha R3 2017 and the mileage isn't bad either ...Our place offers mountain side road and all the road is almost up and down and in my place the mileage is about 19-22kmpl which isn't bad either

Trust me 19-22 kpl is terrible. Thats about the same mileage as an fz07. My ninja 400 does at around 28-31 kpl.
