Great little tune. Have always loved it since watching Naked Gun (RIP Leslie - one of my all time favourite comedians and someone I had the pleasure to meet once). Now music's all ultra serious about how girls break your heart or how they are bitches to your gangsta. This is just innocent fun. You can see Leslie and co are having a ball.
The 80s version of this song sounds better than the original version. Nice remake and its from the same group and thats awesome. Naked Gun picked the right song for the movie. RIP Leslie Nielsen, U was the man and u will truly be missed !
On this day in 1965 {February 9th} Herman's Hermits performed "I'm Into Something Good" on the NBC-TV program "Hullabaloo!"... Four months earlier on October 11th, 1964 it entered Billboard's Hot Top 100 chart at position #79; and on December 6th it peaked at #13 {for 1 week} and also spent 13 weeks on the Top 100... I guess for Herman's Hermits the number thirteen was not an unlucky number; for their next nine releases all made the Top 10 and two reached #1 {"Mrs. Brown You've Got A Lovely Daughter" for 3 weeks in 1965 and "I'm Henry the Eighth, I Am" for 1 week, also in 1965}... "This Door Swings Both Ways" broke the string of Top 10 hits, it reached #12...
superb recording, great song, thank God i was student in the sixties & could enjoy all the great music--fromFLOWER ERA,BLUES MUSIC,ROCK N ROLL! THOSE WERE THE DAYS MY FRIEND WE THOUGHT WOULD NEVER END--[remember Mary Hopkins?]thanks buddy!
This song reminds me of my school trip to the Netherlands in high school with my good friends one of which who is no longer with us, we loved this song because it was in naked gun, rest in peace mate
This is true!!. there is something in these song that make you feel happy!! That's something I find characteristic of some the sixties songs. The ones of this type of course. Funny , but the main theme from the show Friends. Seems to me that a song from that era. Love the sixties music!!!!
That's because it's a solo re-recording by Peter Noone, Herman's Hermits vocalist. It was released as a single, I'm not sure if it's in any album. It's not on the naked gun soundtrack cause I have it and it's only the score by Ira Newborn.
@ThatOneAgain Heck I was so young I didn't know what a one night stand was..at least they weren't saying " I knew it would be a one night stand!" It was very popular..Great question though..good version... thanks for putting it on..K

It's my favorite version of this song as well but it sounds like it has been sped up. What we can hear in the movie sounds more accurate. Does anyone have it?

Just so everyone knows, it's slightly sped up, which is why it sounds better than the normal version you find of this song.
+Scsigs I personally like this version over the original.
You know this was sped up to avoid the bots, right? That's all I was saying.

Leslie Nielsen is something too good to die

Great to hear it in stereo. Just saw Peter Noone at Winstar Casino on 1/27/13. Great show! Also, check out Earl-Jean and the Cookies original version.
I like the original version from 1964 better, especially since I was a young boy when it came out and I loved the British Invasion.
