Just give Scotty-Boy some more time confronting the "little people" about their oversights during their 70-hour work-week, and dickering over a 10 peso trike fare. They'll dislike Westerners as much as most of the rest of the world does.

We ended up in Iloilo and found it to be our favorite place. She and her family are descendants of Iloilo and their language is ilonga same. I found it easier to drive and navigate there. We rented a condo $143 for 5 days. Near the river walk.

13:37 -- Reminds me of a time when I was the hotel manager of Best Western in New York. About 1 am a woman calls the Front Desk and ask for me to get rid of a, in her description, "BIG BUG" in the room. I asked if this bug was really that big. She exclaimed it was a really big bug and emphasized my coming immediately. I told her, "Ma'am if the bug is that big, put him on the phone because nobody sleeps here for free!" She cracks up and hangs up the phone. She got my point. Bugs are everywhere, in her house, in offices, etc. Handle it yourself. Later that day the owner of the property calls me and said the customer mentioned the incident, then he starts laughing and says, "Only you, Roy, only you can get away with stuff like that!"

Guimaras is a really interesting place. I was there in 2009. Traveled over the island and saw oxen pulling carts down road. There is some kind of Franciscan monastery in the middle of the island. After reaching the other side, I and another person took a little canoe shaped ferry boat to a really small island to visit her relatives for one night. On the way, people were walking across the ocean between islands with stuff on their heads. When I got out of the boat, I put my knee on the cover of the bow and it crunched through the wood. The girl thought it was really funny but the guy who ferried us, not so much. Drank lots of rum with her relatives and locals. Slept in a bamboo pole building next to the water. There were lots of fireflies which was really magical as I had not seen them since I was a child.

If you make roots here in Iloilo.... You could find yourself rubbing shoulders with some fine ladies who come from good family backgrounds.. Just a thought...

Hey Scott, about your headaches, I suspect one of two reasons.
Firstly I noticed you hardly drink any water, you start the day with black coffee, then have coke and beer in the evening, you might simply be lacking H20 in your system.
Secondly if you are on some food supplements like vitamins you might be getting too much vitamin A (they add it to almost all supplements as it's cheap and look's good on the labels). I wish I knew that overdose of vitamin a can lead to frequent and painful headaches sooner as I definitely had this happened to me, I only came to posses that precious knowledge by random not related article in some random not related magazine.

We are so happy you are visiting Iloilo City and Guimaras! Enjoy your stay and you had a very wonderful tour guide. The mangos 🥭 in Guimaras are very special. The mangos 🥭 there are like what Hatch Green and Red Chile 🌶 are here in New Mexico, USA. New Mexico has the very best Hatch Chile, and Guimaras has the very best Mangos! Enjoy!!!

You seem to be enjoying it in Ilo Ilo. It looks good for a decent stay there.
Being able to sit with the local expats and talk story over a few beers, that's life.
23:03 you almost lost her.😊 I was thinking that the girl walking off looked like your friend.😅

I thought PhillyWilly packed up and left Vanessa in the lurch when he left? Left he with no money, and rent coming due. I was an early Subscriber to PW, before his channel got dumped and he became PW. A lot going on there behind the scenes. Vanessa is a lovely young lady, wish her the best!👍

My wife's niece's husband is probably the biggest Filipino, aesthetically, I've ever seen. We call him Thor because he can work a jackhammer all day on his job and he's a beautiful man. No other way to put it. Like those korean actors that look like they could have been women. He's supervisor now installing cable lines all over the Visayas. He's about 6'5 and 110 kilos and passed up being in a movie after the director randomly asked him seeing us on vacation. I think he was an idiot. He'd could have done well. Filipino girls would have eaten him up, but I guess my niece wouldn't be able to handle the attention.

FIlipinos do get offended. I have a friend as an example in Valencia City, Bukidnon and they are part of the government of the city. Just as a heads up there was some conversation of banning you from there. As you know this is the kind of thing that can happen in the Philippines if they feel disrespected. I can tell you according to this friend they have done it 2 other tims because the people of that city had felt disrespected.
