Btw, if you pull back the belt tensioner to where those 2 little holes line up, you can stick a screwdriver or bolt through those holes and don't need to remove it.. the holes will keep it loose and out of the way.
I did alternator job on one two months ago, you can leave rad in just unbolt fans to move them out the way slightly, that is all that needs to be done for both alt and PS
mine just went downtown Toronto!! had to use two cars to boost to her going, then it died when i stopped at a red light. boosted again, went straight home no stopping... that was fun. thanks for this video
At 1:30 what is that thing hanging down on the left side of the screen and where does it attach to? Its jus hanging on my car and I have no idea what it's for
Good deal nice video.. thumbs up. By the way for anyone whos looking to just do the alternator I saw another video where a guy pulled the alternator from the bottom of the car and didn't have to remove anything else besides the splash guard if I remember correctly.
Does anyone have any tips for getting the bottom power steering pump bolt tunnel aligned with the holes in the accessory bracket? Been trying for hours and can’t seem to get it back on
I changed my power steering pump 2 months ago and my power steering fluid is leaking again somewhere and I don’t know where. First time changed it had it dropped at a shop cause the car stopped driving. The guy never told me what it was all he said was that it was electric problem. So months after now it’s doing it again brake light coming on and battery cause of the leak and last time I got a used alternator but it was a good one. Broke down on me today because of leak and I think the leak caused my alternator too go bad since it sits under power steering pump. Just don’t know where leak is coming from
Thanks for this video! This helped a ton with getting my alternator off. Removing the PS pump makes it so much easier to access. Did u have any serpentine belt problems afterwards? I've shredded 3 belts in a week... Maybe I screwed up an alignment or something
@@bukklaog3717 I'm noticing that the alternator pulley is about 1/8 further out than the power steering pulley above it. Is that normal? If not this has to be it?
Glad I’ve been cleaning mine with lectra motive, my power steering pump has been leaking down on to my alternator like yours for a while....clean the alternator up with lectra motive and make sure it soaks through and haven’t had any problems with the alternator....of course I already have a low mileage working power steering pump waiting in the wings too 😊
I have not detected any leakage yet, but I notice my car has been making a whining noise. Dealership suggested to replace pump, belt, and of course power steering fluid for $1500. Do you think I should replace the alternator too? Thx.
I meant the part at 4:06. I tried using a wrench but it just slips and I don’t want to round it out. Not sure if a 1 inch socket would do since it looks a bit to round. I don’t have the flex head wrench you used. So I’m running out of ideas
I recently changed my alternator in my 2012 Infiniti G37. Needless to say it was a pain, so I decided to make a video to help anyone else who will have to do this job. ua-cam.com/video/EY8JyV_qIlQ/v-deo.html

Thank you for making the video. Although I am only gonna do the belt, the angle of this shot gives me a entire pic 100%. Thank you!

Great video. They need to give out best tutorials awards cuz u deserve it.
Buk see those 2 circles at the top of the pully your using force to loosen the belt ? You put a small bolt or L tool in that hold to hold it in place
M200 Dreamer was rushing, but thanks
You said the power steering pump had 3 bolts. I saw you remove 2 ?
At 1:30 what is that thing hanging down on the left side of the screen and where does it attach to? Its jus hanging on my car and I have no idea what it's for
Crash sensor goes into the fan assembly
@@bukklaog3717 Thanks
Nice work cuzz, was wondering if you are doing any more videos on the G. Haven't seen any new videos. Thank you.
My shit is leaking too...was hoping it's just the high pressure hose. will see tomorrow.
How many miles were on your car? Odd that those would go out if you had low miles.

hey bud only removed these to have a better camera angle
Have 08 g37 got do the alternator but I'm not taking off the front to much wuk lol always a easy way out
No need to do so
Can you replace only the pulley on the power steering pump
Spawn and Batman yes, but the possibility of damage out ways the price of the pump
@@bukklaog3717 damage meaning replacing the pulley can possibly cause damage to the pump?
Spawn and Batman yes
@@bukklaog3717 well shit. I dont how much it will cost to have a shop do it. I would do it but I dont have the downtime for it

Probably from the shaft seal but a new pump is the only way to fix it or the seals to the high pressure line have failed.
@@bukklaog3717 yea I replaced it with a new pump. Ima have too replace it again idk if I’m not putting something on the pump all the way or what.
The copper crush washers should be replaced with new pads ones on the high pressure hose.
@@bukklaog3717 yea I replaced those also had two on each side of the hose that went on power pump.
You make any videos on differential fluid change and transfer case change?
19hundred Block I definitely can brother
It will be helpful. Just hit 100k on my g37
I have a 350z hr and can’t figure out how to tighten that belt tensioner enough
Its a manual tensioner you may have stripped the threads.
😂😂😂when you said bumper i automatically knew you lived in Baltimore or Maryland like me

Did you ever get it fixed
Great video. Was it necessary to remove the alternator to get to the water pump, or were you just replacing both?
You mean power steering pump, the water pump is behind the timing chain.
I done this so many times without even taking the bumper off that's a rookie move
Great video bro, you made it , with a clear view of everything
What intakes do you have?
Andres Villagomez k and n
How did you remove the top portion of the power steering pump so easily? I’m kinda stuck on that part. Any advice?
Eric Parra it’s only a 12 mm bolt. After the lines are unhooKed.

Looks complicated.
Makeup. Bria that’s how makeup looks to me 😂
Bukklao G37 you will get better just keep practicing.
Makeup. Bria I need a model to practice on.
Kidding 😜
Makeup. Bria I’m serious 😂, I can’t practice on you?
Where was it leaking from
Ps pump
Vince South ps pump
Bukklao G37 like where specifically on the pump? From the rubber seals ?
Vince South seal for the pulley
You really took off the entire front end, must be quick and easy then? This can’t be done from under the car?
RzVids it can, I just needed the camera angle
Thank you!!! This was very useful
