  • Lane Community College broke ground on its new Health Professions Building on Wednesday, October 12, 2022, on the main campus. “This is an exciting day for Lane Community College,” said LCC President Stephanie Bulger. “Thanks to state funding and the voter-approved 2020 Bond Measure, the college was able to make this plan a reality. This new facility will contain some of our most high-demand programs. Students who successfully complete these challenging fields of study are well-equipped for rewarding careers in a variety of health-related positions.” The new facility will bring the LCC Dental Clinic back to the campus, provide additional Health Professions academic and administrative offices, and develop a 100+ seat classroom for lectures and community events. It will also serve as the future home of the Dental Hygienist, Dental Assistant, Medical Assistant and Emergency Medical Services (EMS) programs. Measuring 34,683 square feet, the building will stand three-stories tall. Additionally, sitework includes a new pedestrian bridge and plazas connecting Bristow Square with the athletic fields. These site improvements will help foster a sense of community and connection through enhanced circulation pathways and create a new northern gateway to the campus core.
