    THERE WILL NEVER BE AN ARTIST LIKE BUDDY HOLLY. HE WROTE SOME BRILLIANT SONGS AND HIS STYLE WAS UNIQUE IN ITS TIME. COPIED BY SO MANY BUT NEVER EQUALLED.

      David IOW , I agree, but so was Ritchie Valens turning La Bamba a Spanish song into a rock song in the 50s, that is truly amazing and unheard of also!!

    The sad thing about this whole tragedy is those babies lost their daddies. Very sad. Richie was a baby, he was just 17. So his Mother lost her baby after she lost her husband and Richie lost his Father. Sad story.

    The interview with his brother was eerie- the whole thing about not "having enough time." Tragic, but I guess it was just meant to be. Dying young is beautiful, though- Buddy, Ritchie and The Bopper, those guys died legends.

    Watched this a few times now, still enjoy watching it, but it’s still very sad. I’d forgotten that Buddy Holly’s career was in a lull when he went on the tour and that Richie Valens career was only 8 months. Valens was the hottest act at the time. Would Buddy have written more memorable songs and big hits? I would think so, but maybe not. You just never know. He had time on his side and I think he would have bounced back.

    Buddy Holly A star that shone so brightly but was snuffed out far too early by all accounts he was a decent human being as well, I often wonder how much more he would have influenced popular music given that the Rolling Stones were fans and recorded "Not Fade Away"

      There death had nothing to do with sin or over the top fanatical religion, it was a freak accident that shouldnt have happened, there times came to an end and all 3 were god loving good men, they have a seat in gods house but im not so sure over the top fanatics that put themselves above the rest of humanity, that push an agenda of inequality like you will also have a seat there, god says in my hosue are many rooms... pushing agenda thinking everyone not of all ypur beliefs are beneath you isnt very kind, caring, it comes from a place of hatred and anger, there is nothing spiritual in your comments... i believe these men have a beautiful place in heaven, comments like these tell a bit of a different story for you and where you may be headed

    • @Mayfloweralways
      @Mayfloweralways 3 роки тому +2

      @@cwb0051 Ive understood the same. That every time they want to honor Buddy, she asks for so much money that they can’t afford to pay her. And I know it sounds terrible, but I doubt she was ever pregnant. I’ve seen interviews where people that knew Buddy said he never said his wife was pregnant and that Big Bopper talked quite a bit about having a baby on the way. And that was the Bopper’s second baby. Supposedly this would Buddy’s first baby, yet he didn’t say a word to friends or family. Just hard to believe.

      When I read she didn’t attend his funeral I thought ok maybe she couldn’t face or accept it. Grief does very strange things. I know. I lost my beloved mommy to advanced ovarian cancer. She was my everything all my life and I miss every single second. I had to arrange everything for her funeral and I set out to honour her as she deserved that day to make it a true tribute to a wonderful woman and mother. So I couldn’t imagine not going. But ok, grief maybe stopped her attending. But what I did find distasteful is when Peggy Sue said she went to her house after the funeral to see if she was ok and found her together with an aunty emptying the house and packing up ! No sorry, that’s not right somehow 😒
