This is effective and simple but it requires 4 separate individual conscious decisions. I just watched this on 18 May 2024. I would use this except I learned a simpler method from Postural Restoration 9 months ago to deal with upper back pain while at work. I discovered that my subconscious will autocorrect my posture when I correctly breathe deeply, which I thought I knew how to do but was very wrong. I was pushing my belly out, but that is wrong. I learned to start by taking a deep breath through my nose, then exhale slowly and fully, which will activate the obliques to stop ribcage flare, and I paid attention to that. Then inhale deeply while maintaining contracted obliques, which results in a noticeable expansion of the upper back ribcage. That expansion is it. That is what to repeat, over and over. The spine will automatically align itself, the shoulders relax and center, the head automatically, breath by breath, with no conscious effort on your part, will move back so that it is centered over the shoulders and pelvis. Just focus on the breathing and the body will sort itself out over a couple of minutes the first time, it becomes much quicker with practice.

Of course if you focus on something other than the feel of the breathing, you can screw it up. Just maintain contracted obliques, contracted exactly like your body did it when exhaling, no difference at all, and make sure you feel the ribcage under your shoulder blades expanding, that is all that is necessary.

Furry, are you still doing Carnivore or rather the Mongol version & if so what makes that different? You're looking great which is awesome to see after following you for right around 15 years. Still use what I learned from CC & the videos, & have taught & am teaching it to my 9 kids. I'm in better shape at 46 then I was at 20!

Ha. 50 years ago as little girls we were always told to pretend we had a string lifting us up through the top of our head like a marionette. That did your head and shoulders points. I’ll try adding your feet and hips points.. Don’t know why you showed up on my UA-cam, but interesting.
