    @Stunted Growth
    Pre-1993 MJ had NO PROBLEMS checking "fast/attacking guards". He was at the height of his physical/athletic ability. 1996-98 MJ, however, did have slight struggles with them.
    But that was when he was in his mid 30s (33-35 yrs old) and past his athletic prime. This is key when comparing these guys to MJ. But for whatever reason, it always seems to get left out.
    And this is WHY Gen Z fanboys think that 1996-98 were his athletic prime years, which in turn, causes them to say A LOT of the silly stuff you hear about him from them, as it relates to comparisons with current players.

      What world do you live in, where age 35 is one's physical/athletic prime?
      Again, 1996-98 were not his physical/athletic peek seasons.
      And those of us who are old enough to have witnessed his "Air Jordan" years could see it.
      But even at a slightly reduced capacity, he STILL was by far, the BEST defensive 2-guard in the league.
      He EARNED those spots on the All Defensive team. They weren't just merely "given" to him, as you're implying...SMH

    Back in the day, Benjamin was the truth. He was a McDonald's All-American in high school and a first-round pick in the 1998 NBA Draft. The kid had skills, no doubt about it. But when he got to the league, things didn't quite go as planned.
    Part of the reason for Benjamin's struggles was his ill-fated decision to challenge Jordan to a one-on-one game during a Bulls practice. Yeah, you heard that right - dude actually had the audacity to step to MJ like that. Needless to say, it didn't go well for him. Jordan destroyed him, both physically and mentally, and Benjamin was never the same after that.
    Now, to be fair, Benjamin wasn't a complete bust in the NBA. He played for a few teams over the course of his career, including the Bulls. But the fact is, he should have had a longer career. He had the talent to stick around in the league as a journeyman, but his psyche was shattered by Jordan's dominance.
    So there you have it, Slam fam. The cautionary tale of Corey Benjamin. Don't step to MJ unless you're ready to get destroyed, both on the court and off.
