Always pleased to watch a William Lane Craig's video. I always anticipate. God bless!🙏❤️✝️
People want to customize their beliefs to suit themselves.
Hi
I like Craig’s bookshelf skull, it appears as though it longs to impart many wise words
But if they do become aware of Jesus then they have to believe in order to be saved
Very nice sir
It is called the straight and narrow for a reason. The wide path leads to hell.
problem is basically that believing that a belief and worship of Jesus Christ is required to go to heaven is an idea that can get you screwed 6 six ways from Sunday. Biggest problem, what about religious people before christ? That's a lot of people you're screwing over. God told them they were gonna have a messiah to build them a kingdom, and so they believed that at some point there is gonna be some guy that... builds them a strong literal kingdom where they can rest, a ruthless warlord and a just ruler. Which... wasn't what Christ did or was. But was just believing in the idea of some messiah enough? In your definition of what it takes to be saved, it doesn't seem to be looking good for the jews, now or back then. Well what about the people who don't currently know about Christ? What about babies? They don't know about Christ. What about different sects of religion that basically believe in different forms of Jesus, Calvinists, church of Christ, Methodists, universalists, inclusionists, Catholics, 7th Day Adventists, Mormons, etc. What if they don't believe in exactly the same kind of Jesus as you? You got two choices, either you believe most or all of these people go straight to hell, for really no good reason. (good luck with that) or you accept that belief in Jesus isn't necessary, or you have some super convoluted third reason that, let's be honest, doesn't hold up to scrutiny very well.
@@aguyontheinternet8436Thanks for framing it that way…Interesting thoughts forcefully made…Who then do we (you) have faith and trust in now, post resurrection ?
Well, according to those who believe in OSAS, you can walk the wide path, walk after the flesh and walk in darkness and you will be saved.......is that the narrow path?
In a way that’s sorta true considering that It’s not ourselves that save us but what Christ did for us on humanities behalf.
“My little children, these things write I unto you, that ye sin not. And if any man sin, we have an advocate with the Father, Jesus Christ the righteous:”
1 John 2:1 KJV
In another sense those that say they are Christian but do not obey Christ but chase after their own desires shows that they are in contradiction to the Jesus. Matthew 7:21
Some of the problems of modern times are people too afraid to correct their brothers in Christ out of going off the narrow path. Besides being unequipped in Biblical literature.
God Be with you 🙏🏻
"If a person responds to the light that God gives them, then God will accord to him the benefits of Christ's atoning death even if he doesn't have a conscious knowledge of Christ" - What does this mean ?
It means that God does not condemn someone for never having heard of Christ if they were born in a time and place in which they could not have heard of him. - RF Admin
@@drcraigvideos But wha if they heard of him - Can a person be salvaged if they're a good and moral person despite not "accepting Jesus as their savior" so to speak ?
@@hablabamosaRf and wlc believe that if a person is good without the knowledge of christ then he could go to heaven. But it f he is bad and a believer in christ then he would also go to heaven. But that person would not go to heaven if he is good but consciously denies the belief in christ resurrection.
Resurrection need not to happen. God can forgive in various ways. Suppose a person is bad and he comes to remorse on his sins. Then according to Islam he only has to repent. Repentence can be done as many times as is possible because God can forgive infinite sins. Why resurrection and atonement is necessary to get to salvation. It is not necessary. whole Christianity is based on this.
Many doctrines of Christianity is not necessary. Take for example Trinity. Isn't one God is more common sense than three in one. Just think it. How can God be both man and God toghether. Isn't only one God is simple and comprehensive and logical.
@@munafghori4052Looking at Christianity through the lens of Islam?!
Looking at Christianity through lens of religion of sword?
Hi William, do you think you should get rid of that skull?
Why? It's an apt reminder of the brevity of this life and the importance of preparing for eternity. - RF Admin
@drcraigvideos pick a lane. Life is either incredibly brief, as you say. Or it's 'eternal' as your made-up storybook pretends.
@@midlander4this life meaning on earth eternity meaning the afterlife in heaven you can ask questions without being disrespectful you know
The Bible addresses those who lived prior to Jesus. This clip does not credit the work of the holy spirit in Nations where Christian disciples have not gone. The absence of discussion about the holy Spirit in any theological discussion about salvation is wrong.
Can you expound on this?
you can't just say "The Bible addresses those who lived prior to Jesus" and not expound.
We need more William Lane Craigs and less anti-intellectual layman assertions on Theology.
God is merciful and just, and won't punish unfairly. All will stand before Him. Trust him to do what is right.
Jesus lives ♥️ and is God 🙏🏻 Christ ✝️ and King 👑
Jesus said I AM IS the way to the truth and the life. The Pharisees took the is out as they promote their religion. The great I AM is in many other Religions for thousands of years The name of the Lord.
Please provide scripture to back this reasoning, Dr Craig.
As much as I would like to believe such a message, this is not the Gospel.
1 John 5:11,12
Romans 5:10
1 Timothy 2:5
Acts 4:12
John 3:18, 14:6
Salvation comes through faith in Jesus Christ alone, not “the light”.
Christian theology has formed through centuries of human understanding of Holy Scriptures and not by the fundamental reading of it!
@@Bullcutter what’s your point? All scripture points to Jesus.
Genesis 3:15
Isaiah 53
Matthew 1:21-23
John 1:1-14
This is why Paul emphasized and warned of others “preaching another gospel” (Galatians 1:8-9).
I think this very question makes the mistake of there being one “Christianity.” Every thinker thinks thier view of soteriology is the right one. It’s very different between Calvinists, church of Christ, Methodists, universalists, inclusionists, Catholics etc. Christianity is actually more broad than narrow in that sense.
Good point.
There is no such thing as christ in chritianity. The character Jesus Was NEVER anointed by any of the Jewish leaders.
The term christ is given at a later time.
BTW, this dude died as a JEW, not as a christian.
Regardless, Jesus believes in you and loves you unconditionally
You can't be fr💀
Christianity literally stems from Jesus Christ. How could He have been Christian?😂
@@axxel9626 Wrong, from the followers of "Kristos" but this guy was NEVER anointed. Followers of a Jewish guy.
@@axxel9626 why not!!
