“Let this mind be in you, which was also in Christ Jesus: who, being in the form of God, thought it not robbery to be equal with God: but made himself of no reputation, and took upon him the form of a servant, and was made in the likeness of men: and being found in fashion as a man, he humbled himself, and became obedient unto death, even the death of the cross.”

@@midlander4 What you said would be an argument from design (teleological argument). But Craig isn't really known for this argument. At most, he uses a version of the teleological as part of an overall cumulative argument for theism. Craig is best known for his kalaam cosmological argument. That's where he's done his most serious philosophical work, which is in fact widely recognized by secular academic philosophers, though many obviously would take issue with certain parts of his argument. So that and his work on the nature of time are probably the two most "Craig" arguments that again are widely recognized and interacted with my secular philosophers around the world. Just search the literature on your own if you don't believe me.

It doesn't matter how "profound" you might think it is, it doesn't explain away the contradiction.
A man by definition is limited. For example, man isn't omniscient and Jesus admitted Yawhew knew information that he didn't.
God, by most definitions IS omniscient. So, Jesus can't know everything and not know everything at the same time, because that's what it would mean to be 100% man & 100% God.

@WorldCupWillie As remarked elsewhere, Jesus' deity must have been limited by his humanity. Hence his statements to that effect in the Gospels. There is a crucial reason for this that relates to Messiah's other saving mission.

It requires some serious emotional investment & desperation to believe 1+1+1=1. Then again, we already know Low Bar Bill will believe this nonsense against 1:1000000 odds, as long as there's a single piece of evidence, and even if evidence as a whole contradicts his preferred belief. Billy felt special with an emotional experience of conviction, and promptly buried his epistemic bar... also, remember that the virgin birth thing almost certainly popped up from a misreading of translated original text.

Also remember the slightest detail makes it all fall and yet every piece of archeological evidence ever produced evidenced the Bible to be true. Every prophecy ever written (some 500-100 years before the actual event) that came to pass also down to the slightest detail. Present day NDE's while attempting to dismiss them as a brain starving for oxygen fail to explain one knowing what is happening in the next room, or across the country or even the color of a tennis shoe on the roof of the hospital. • @simonline1194

Yes. The Holy Spirit is the Spirit of God [YHWH] and since the Father and the Son [NOT Jesus of Nazareth] are both YHWH then the Holy Spirit is the Spirit of both the Father and the Son.
When Mary conceived it was the Holy Spirit Who overshadowed her but the Messiah/Christ is the son of the Father rather than the Holy Spirit.
In the Great Commission (Matt.28:16-20), the Messiah/Christ promises that He would always be with His disciples even to the end of the age (Christ in us, our hope of glory (Col.1:27)) but the Messiah/Christ could not achieve this whilst here on Earth. He had to return to His Father so that He could send His Holy Spirit to indwell each and every one of us, not just being present with us collectively (Jn.16:5-16).

I believe it is the Second Person of the One Tri-Personal Divine Creator, YHWH [the Son](Ex.3:14;Jn.1:1) Who is God, NOT the human incarnation, the human creature, Jesus of Nazareth (Matt.1:21).
The Messiah/Christ [i.e. the Son] is both Divine Creator [YHWH] and human creature [Jesus of Nazareth] but YHWH is NOT human (Num.23:19; Jn.4:24) any more than Jesus of Nazareth is Divine (Lk.2:52; Jn.1:14; 14:28; Gal.4:4; Heb.2:17) but the Messiah/Christ [Both YHWH and Jesus of Nazareth] is Emmanuel - God with us (Matt.1:22-23).
Yes, the finite human creature, Jesus of Nazareth, IS the Messiah/Christ but there is, quite literally, infinitely more to the Messiah/Christ than just the finite human creature, Jesus of Nazareth.
This is why, for example, Paul makes no explicit reference to Jesus of Nazareth in Col.1:15-17 because Paul knew (knows?) that Jesus of Nazareth had absolutely NOTHING to do either with bringing the Creation into existence or sustaining it in that same existence. It was the One Divine Tri-Personal Creator - Father, Son and Holy Spirit Who exclusively brought the Creation into existence and sustains it here. No finite creature (including the Messiah/Christ as human) had anything to do with the Creation. Such a belief is Mormon heresy?!
